This may be a good time to divulge that I and a small team discovered a much larger underwater city in a location that I can't identify for the usual reasons.

But it's there and it's huge, trust me.
It was discovered in the southern Caribbean, in May of 1999, on a Tuesday, around 3:35 pm local time.

Correct on the Tsunami's in Washington (and Oregon, California, etc.) On the other hand, if these quakes are farther east they are also deeper, which will help. Also - if they are under the Olympics - no Tsunami (good for you MarMema).

It is obviously just a matter of time before the “big one” - and, if just based on the periods between previous events, we are due. I was talking to a environmental geologist and some others because they were laughing about some woman that has a car-topper on her van filled with emergency supplies. She lived in Redmond and works in Seattle. While she did seem a bit hysterical, I did comment that with those supplies, she might do a lot better than others that are stuck in Seattle for a week or more after the big one hits. Access into and out of Seattle is primarily over large bridges, which will only serve as artificial reefs for any rescue efforts.

I’m NOT any kind of expert on ocean currents . . . however, it seems logical to me, that if it is relatively shallow, it may be that ocean currents would have tended to keep it swept relatively clean.

The images seem a little too crisp...I would expect things to have silted up and eroded more than they appear to have done. Time will tell though.

What a farce, the top photo shows a shallow angle view of the ocean that has some poorly photoshopped weirdo image beneath. Same with the second - notice the clouds at the center top suddenly have this city in the clouds too.

There are several different types of “satellite imagery”, such as radar, visual, infra-red, or combinations of them. The article doesn’t say which one was used. So there’s no way to guess how realistic the images are.

Nothing new. Back in March and April of 1966 the major newspapers had several articles about sunken cities “found” off the coast of Peru and Chili.

Nothing was ever mentioned about them again.

Top image, top left side, appears to be airport/runway.

The top just looks like artifacts from saving images in small file sizes. The bottom... so the water is THAT clear we can see such details on the sea bottom through hundreds of feet of water.

That looks just like an aerial shot of the San Fernando Valley in LA County.

I’m going to read the whole article, but I find it hard to believe that you can get pictures this sharp and detailed while looking through 2,300 feet of sea water.
