  • Everything you need to know to understand the Alex Jones Trial- Viva and Barnes live! (recording).

I'm seeing a lot of folks on here commenting that Alex Jones deserves bad things "because he slandered those people". Clearly some Freepers (who should know better) are believing what they see on the news, and it would be a good idea to get some better info out there. I've got no experience of listening to AJ, but the railroading is obvious. I've only seen short clips from both trials, and it's clear to me (*not* an attorney) that those judges are biased and out of control. This isn't just about AJ- This is about our courts working properly. They...

https://twitter.com/Debradelai/status/1001012869629206528 I'm not really sure how to share a twitter thread here, but I thought this one would be useful. Tommy Robinson is not the person everyone seems to think he is. I've got this from other sources, as well, but this one probably lays it out best.

Or worse, in this case, they get actions. Look, guys, this is not new, and it wouldn’t surprise many people in the past. It’s more that what we’re engaged in is a very weird revolutionary activity. https://accordingtohoyt.com/2018/04/11/the-other-side-gets-a-vote/

  • How cars are less regulated than guns....

    12/03/2015 4:29:10 PM PST · by TexasBarak · 21 replies
Cars are legal in all fifty states. A driver's license from one state is honored in all 50 states. If I let someone drive my car, I am not committing a crime in any state. It is legal for anyone of any age to own a car. I can operate my car however I want on my own property with no licensing. You take one course (usually as a teenager), and you can drive on public roads the rest of your life (If you keep your nose clean). If I'm licensed to drive a car in one state, I won't...
  • Any other Freeper's kids attending school online?

    08/24/2014 9:58:27 AM PDT · by TexasBarak · 67 replies
At the end of her seventh grade year a few months ago, my daughter was of the opinion that she had not received the education that she should have, so she determined to find courses online that she could take over the summer. What she found (completely on her own) turned out to be a full time public school- online! She starts tomorrow at Connections Academy Texas. With her mother and I both working, she'll be attending school at her Grandmother's house for the time being. I'm very excited about this- my child is *very* intelligent, and with self-paced courses...
  • Vanity- Draft Tom Delay for the Senate!

Since John Cornyn voted for cloture (I haven't seen definite news on this, so someone correct me if I'm wrong) despite the expressed wishes of his constituents- and there is still time to file to run against him in a primary.... Since Tom Delay no longer has the cloud of political prosecution hanging over his head.... Let's ask Tom Delay to file in the primary against John Cornyn so that we can have *two* articulate, conservative, and *effective* senators from Texas!
  • How a high school band triumphed over a bureaucracy and union that tried to kill it

Backwoods Home Magazine ^ | May 2013 | Dave Duffy
There are few victories sweeter in life than that of young teenagers triumphing over organized mean-spirited adults in positions of seemingly absolute power. This is a story that comes out of my own home town of Gold Beach, Oregon. It pits the high school band, consisting of 15 teenagers ranging in age from 15 to 18, against the powerful local teacher's union that tried to shut the band down because their unpaid volunteer band director, who everybody agreed was doing a good job, did not possess an Oregon teaching credential. http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles2/duffy141.html

The reason it is so depressing to read Alone, the middle volume of William Manchester's biography of Winston Churchill, is not because the British government was so obtuse in failing to listen to Churchill's constant warnings about the rising menace of Adolf Hitler. Why should that be depressing? After all, when Hitler finally got the war he had wanted for so long, Churchill was elevated at last to be prime minister of Britain, and in that position he saved Britain and, by the way, the world. So this is the prelude to a tale of triumph. It is sad to...

The Truth About Guns ^ | 6-26-2012 | John Boch
By John Boch On Saturday, June 23, three of Guns Save Life’s intrepid members, Chris Betley, John Sutter and Steve Fuller drove to Chicago to participate in the city’s annual gun “turn in” event titled, “Don’t Kill A Dream Save A Life.” In short, the sum real-world value of the guns we took up to the Windy City would have been calculated by most people – ourselves included – solely on their scrap metal value. To the gun-hating do-gooders up there, though, they were worth big dollars; $100 for each firearm and $10 for BB-guns and replicas. No questions asked....
  • Vanity- any Big Lots employees on FR?

I'm in the market for a new job, and I noticed today that the local Big Lots has an ad out for a store manager. I'm curious to know if anyone here works for the company- if so, how is the company to work for? What would be a reasonable salary to expect as a store manager? Is the company full of O-bots in the upper levels? General stuff like that :)

"In the Wall Street Journal, film writer Anthony Kaufman did a fairly straight-forward interview with “The Undefeated” writer/director Steve Bannon. Fine. Good. Proper. Afterwards, though, Kaufman then took to his usual perch at indieWIRE to let his true feelings be known." "Then, however, Kaufman gets to this unbelievably offensive and revealing sentence:For me, the most shocking moment in “The Undefeated,” however, comes with the appearance of a black person about two-thirds of the way through.
  • Vanity- Oklahoma gun law question

Just a quick question for Oklahoma Freepers- I live in Texas, and am planning a quick trip to OK tomorrow. I'd like to know if, or under what conditions, it is legal there for me to carry a pistol in my car. I know that it is legal in Texas, but I'd like to know if I'm headed for hot water over the border. Thanks in advance for any info- I won't be able to reply for a couple of hours- gotta take the wife to the doctor!

Found the link to this on www.thefirearmsblog.com the other day. I'm a "maker" myself, but don't hold a candle to this guy! At the top of the page is an entry or two on a Dragunov style stock he is building for a Mosin-Nagant- and down the page are several entries on the 10-round magazine he designed and built for a Mosin-Nagant!

The Mosin Nagant 91/30 is a blunderbuss with a bad attitude, a fierce weapon of war from the tip of its pig-sticker bayonet to its skull-cracking iron butt plate. The original 91 was introduced in 1892, improved in 1930, and remained Russia’s top infantry rifle until 1945. Like the Ivans and Ivanettes who carried this beast through seven wars, the Nagant rifle packs a punch. It’s big, robust, heavy, loud, rude, sometimes crude, iron-balls tough, ugly in a beautiful way, cheap, historic and a whole lot of fun if you go easy on the vodka. Whoa. I just kinda described...
