I focused on the emasculinization of the Mass as only a girl like myself is allowed to in this time of PC.

I meant to say pretty much what Cicero stated so eloquently in post 9.

The rant is a bit held over from a response to the presentation we had at Mass last wknd from the Archbishop who is now, for the moment, off the subject of telling us the USCCB gave a ton of our donated? money to the cause of the illegal aliens here, and that the latino community is the future of the Church (but they need our money, though they have the buildings our ancestors (and theirs) built?, and is now onto the subject of plans for the future.

One aspect they want us to focus on ? ok is bringing some of the 750,000 Catholics in the Archd to Mass as there are only 150,000 attending.

I think it comes from the Holy Father, bless him.

    Not sure.

They can start with getting back to the language of the Church - Latin. It’s a dead language, so no misinterpretation can easily occur. Fr. Groeschel says the enemy hates hearing it.

I travel 22 miles just to get the Latin Mass with traditional music done WELL from the loft in the back of the Church (built 1985).

The Mass is Novus Ordo, post Vatican Two, that is, as you know, and where the priest delivers a sermon about the readings often pertinent to current events. There has never been a female on the altar and Communion is via procession and then on the tongue with tincture by the priest and deacons, no EMs.

This pastor is very reverent to VatII and yearly travels to Rome with a willing group from the congregation and school and visits with the Holy Father.

I went to mass last week locally and was subject to a priest who was late due to the “Basketball Game, you can understand”. Oh yes, everyone applauded. I cannot applaud at Mass nor can I take the sea of denim- and shorts! and Flip flops!

The music is vapid. It takes 3 minutes after consecration first for hugging and shaking hands and another for the procession of “extraordinary” ministers - (devised originally for Naval deployment at sea) to do whatever it is they do and them charge back to get communion out, as we are all in a rush to get out of there? That’s what passes for extraordinary.

None of this has anything to do with Vatican II. It was used as an excuse. The new interpretation goes nowhere far enough.

For every one of me, willing to overlook, for the sake of the Eucharist, how many have been lost? How many men can’t take the emasculinization and the lack of reverence - the hand holding, the girls pushing the boys off the altar, women oh what I had last week were two women, sleeveless, lecturing. They couldn’t pronounce the geographical places from the second reading of Pentecost, no problem giggles, “uh, uh”.

If they want to take over, they’d better do it as well as a self respecting man would and that wasn’t it. It’s GOD’s WORD.

    Huff!

No one EVER asked nor took a poll to find out how the congregation liked the New (1970’s) Mass. Not anyone.

And not many churches (one in 10,000?) offer any kind of alternative.

Here’s a hint: The men, and the men attending Mass alone, attend the Latin Mass with Gregorian Chant, procession of properly attired men and boys, NO hand holding, No peace greeting.

It was an tempt at politeness. It seems that your point is off in terms of the Embassy being completely different from a consulate as far as security and the consequences of security failure, see The Executive Branch meeting the casualties on the tarmac. They did not do this because of good character. It was required.

In any case, a mortally neglected consulate is quite different from “dead Americans”, a regard given to travelling students on a Eurail pass, which, in this case, just don’t command the attention due to the Consulate (equal to the embassy for security, esp when housing the Ambassador, according to the citation below, and according to common sense.

Guess this is the best we can expect fro Wa Po but she lost me in the first sentence.

Four Americans multiplied were killed yesterday, More in Boston, on the Helicopter wherein the SEAL team were killed. What difference does it make? Even H! is winning on this.

They are the Embassy staff. US representatives in Libya. The Libyans know this, so do AQ, MB, Egypt, Syria and a few Americans with a semblance of basic knowledge of our government and it’s place in the world.

Foreigners are confused and encouraged by our govt’s stupidity on this and the American electorate is confused that this story won’t go away, though H! wants it to. They thought she was more powerful than that.

She is not. They haven’t fundamentally transformed America yet, and it was the Embassy staff. When will the journalists including Hannity get a clue and call it what it is and bring some proper order onto this story.

The SEALs are the best our country has to offer. I can’t even look at the photos of the casualties of the downed “SEAL” helicopter.

    They were THE heroes.

The issue is that our electorate is uninformed. It’s why Benghazi doesn’t mean anything to them.

We have 51 dead in Oklahoma as of this morning from the storm. We have dead SEALs and military every week , from the Mideast.

    It’s awful.

So what makes the four dead at the embassy different?

As individuals they are no different. And compared with the schoolchildren who perished yesterday in OKC, forget it.

So people forget about them from time to time. They say,
“four dead Americans, oh yeah, Wasn’t that in that place with the B and the Z? Well, what were they doing over there anyway? What did they expect?”

And they get forgotten. And then, “oh,yeah there was something about Hillary? It must be political.”

And yet, it doesn’t go away.

We’ve gone into thinking that we decide things as we go along. Hillary and BO met them on the tarmac because they are nice and they’re compassionate and BO and H! are stand up people when they feel like it.

No. They had to meet them because they were the embassy staff. The brave and dedicated former SEALs were honored with this presidential recognition. They were not, reportedly, part of the embassy staff.

What’s getting lost in this, is that the State dept. not Hillary, as powerful as she’d like to be, and not confined to the head of State, and the State dept still IS bigger than she, even while she was in charge, sent them over to Benghazi.

The embassy staff represents the US in country. They are afforded security and are given US housing. If they are hurt or killed in country it goes up to the President as they are his representatives in country Stat doesn’t just get involved because they are wonderful. They HAVE to. The embassy staff works for them. State is responsible for meeting them at repatriation and then explaining to the American people what happened. “What difference does it make” doesn’t and will not cut it.

If people realized this, it might go a lot quicker as congress is allowed to play around with this as much as the Executive branch.

The embassy was overrun. The Libyans know it as does the MB and AQ, Egypt, Syria and whoever is left in this country to pay attention to Government 101.

It’s not about four dead. It’s huge. It’s about the Embassy, whether H! and BO want to fundamentally transform the Govt or not, they haven’t yet.

We are still under the same rules that were in place when Tony Mendez worked very hard to get the Foreign Service workers out of Iran, and we’re probably in that same fight.

So, IBD gets it right. And it’s why this is not going away.
