“A podcaster and Bible teacher recently exhorted Christians to be aware of the occultic spiritual practices of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and to practice discernment instead of linking arms with the organization.

“When the apostle Paul said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness, this is what he was talking about,” said Abraham Hamilton II during his Aug. 19 “Hamilton Corner” broadcast entitled “The BLM Connection to Witchcraft.”

And as Christ exhorts us to “pray for your enemies, and those who wickedly curse you”... let us “win” this battle by sincerely asking for the deliverance of these who would dare to invoke Satan's power against God's Son or the Body of Christ.

For "the heathen are our inheritance" along with the Lord, who laughs in derision at these Satanic "kings and rulers" these elitist plotters, who think that they can overthrow the Lord's ordinances and righteous foundations. They cannot; they will not.

The battle is the Lord's; His victory is already won:

    Psalm 2

    The Triumphant Messiah

    (Acts 4:23-31)

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Here ya go. I think this article was linked earlier.

Please methodically cite all of your Scripture references in your refutation of MacArthur's teaching that one can repent after receiving the Mark of the Beast.

    JOHN MACARTHUR

    MAINSTREAMING PAGANISM IN THE CHURCH

    PART 1

JOHN MACARTHUR & THE “MARK OF THE BEAST”

John MacArthur teaches that those who take the Mark of the Beast

during the Tribulation period can still be redeemed.

(click on photo to view video in new window)

QUESTIONER: “Oh, my question is in regard to the latter half of the Tribulation period, when...when men will be required to have the mark of the beast in order to buy or sell. My question is once the person takes the mark, is there any possibility of Him coming to Christ?”

JOHN: “Yes, I think, you know, in the seven-year Tribulation coming in the future, we’re gonna get into this, so probably a week from Sunday night, maybe this Sunday night, maybe a week, I’m not sure. But the Tribulation is a seven-year period, right? The Rapture of the church, seven-year Tribulation, then Christ returns, sets up His Kingdom. Now, in that seven-year period, really two things happen. God begins to judge the world in...with a series of holocausts; and, at the same time, He begins to redeem His people Israel; and in the process of this, the Antichrist establishes his rule; and in order to function in the economy of the antichrist, you have to take the mark of the beast. The mark being the number of a man, Revelation 13, 666. Six is the number of man, right? Seven is the number of perfection, and man always falls short of perfection, 666, always sixes, never seven. So the number of a man, and apparently what’s gonna happen, you take the mark on your hand or on your forehead; and we’ve talked a lot about that, you know, that...that that’s kind of the computer situation. We’re now moving fast toward the time when we’re going to have to do everything we do by cards and by numbers and all of that, and those number...the thing about a card that’s a problem is you lose it, and they’ve already devised systems to put the number on your hand and on your forehead, and you go through a scanner and, you know, that’s how you buy and sell. It’s automatically deducted from your bank account.

“Now, the question is, if you’re living in the Tribulation period, and you take this mark, in other words, you identify with the beast’s empire, will you still be able to be redeemed? And I think the answer to that is yes. Yes! Otherwise there would be no salvation of anybody in the end of the Tribulation; and you’ve got to have the salvation of folks in the end of the Tribulation. You’re gonna have the Jews redeemed. You’re gonna have, according to Revelation chapter 7, ‘An innumerable number of Gentiles redeemed, so many they can’t even be counted across the face of the earth.’ So I don’t think the fact that someone takes that is a sentence to, to permanency anymore than you being a part of this world system once in your life means you have to be a part of the system all your life. Well, especially when 144,000 don’t start their ministry till the second half. That’d make it a little tough.”

Ironically, John MacArthur presented this false teaching during a Question & Answer forum at his church titled "Unleashing God's Truth One Verse at a Time".

That those who receive the mark of the Beast will be able to be redeemed is a deadly deception that will cause multitudes to be eternally damned; for God has explicitly warned that anyone who receives the mark of the beast will be eternally tormented with fire:

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” (Rev. 14:9-11)

“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4)

The Word of God could not be plainer concerning the eternal state of those who receive the mark of the Beast: “If any man” (no exceptions) “worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand...he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone...for ever and ever...whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

How does John MacArthur, an expositor of Scripture who publishes Study Bibles with copious notes explaining verses and passages therein, overlook one of the strongest and most critical warnings in Scripture? The Word of God also warns that “there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies...” (2 Pet. 2:1)

John MacArthur introduced this “damnable heresy” in 1980, and he has issued no retraction since then; yea, MacArthur’s propaganda ministers defend him and his false teaching, and discredit those who expose it as deception.

John MacArthur’s statement regarding the mark of the Beast is deceptive on more than one level. First, he does not accurately identify the mark of the Beast, but implies that it will be a computer generated bar code. However, a bar code or microchip implant does not fulfill the Scriptural requirements for the mark of the Beast. MacArthur was right that God would not sentence a person to eternity in hell for merely trying to survive in the world system, which may soon require taking a bar code or chip implant. Receiving the real mark of the Beast will involve a far more serious sin.

The mark of the Beast will be an occult symbol branded or tattooed on the forehead or right hand of those who take an oath of allegiance to Lucifer during an initiation ritual, similar to initiations performed in secret societies like Freemasonry. The occult symbol that fits the Scriptural description of the mark of the Beast will be the star which represented a pagan idol worshipped by the ancient Israelites. The worship of this pagan god involved the most abominable rites, of sexual perversion and human sacrifice, for which God severely judged the Jewish nation.

“But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.” Amos 5:26

“Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.” Acts 7:43

Likewise, according to Revelation, receiving the mark of the Beast during the Tribulation period will involve worshipping the Beast—a false Christ—and his image or idol, whose number is 666:

“He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Rev. 13:16-17)

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,...And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” (Rev. 14:9, 11)

“...Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands....” (Rev. 20:4)

“Interestingly enough you will notice that the emblem itself is actually made up of three pairs of triangles with their apexes touching. Each pair collectively represents the number 6, which qualifies the whole symbol as a graphical representation of 666.” (Sects, Symbolism & Mark of the Beast)

Please refer to the following articles for more Scriptural evidence that the mark of the Beast will be a tattoo or brand of the 6-pointed star, euphemized as the Star of David or Seal of Solomon, but in reality the mark of Lucifer.

THE 6-POINTED STAR: THE MARK OF THE BEAST ~ The Star of David or Star of Remphan?

DESIGNER MARKS OF THE BEAST ~ Why the Mark of the Beast is NOT the Microchip Implant

Tattoos are an ancient tradition of pagan initiation rites. The tattoo bonds the initiate with the entity symbolized by the tattoo and enables him to communicate with that demonic power. The meaning and function of tattoos in initiation rites are explained in Jean Chevalier’s Dictionary of Symbols, which defines the tattoo as “the permanent mark of that initiation.”

“In some pictures of a tattooed man we are faced by a permanent prayer to and identification with the heavenly powers, at the same time as a basic means of communication with them. Such is the most generalized meaning of tattooing bestowed in consequence of a rite of initiation which allows this communication to take place. At the same time, this initiation is a rite of admission into a social group and the tattoo is the permanent mark of that initiation, the badge of the tribe.

“All in all, tattooing belongs among symbols of identification and is interfused with all their magic and mystic potency. Identification always carries a double meaning: it tends to invest the individual concerned with the properties and strength of the creature or thing to which that person is assimilated and, at the same time, to immunize the latter against its potential power to cause harm. This is why tattoos depict dangerous creatures such as serpents or scorpions, or animals which are symbols of fertility, such as bulls or of power, such as lions, and so on. Identification also carries a sense of surrender or even of consecration to whatever the tattoo symbolically depicts. It then becomes a badge of fealty.” (pp. 975-976)

Like a wedding band which symbolizes the indissoluble union of a man and woman, the initiate’s tattoo “becomes a badge of fealty” to the “creature or thing to which that person is assimilated.” Since Lucifer aspires to be “like God,” in his pride he will enter into a union with his devotees in a Sacred Marriage Ritual—a Satanic counterfeit of the Marriage of the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ, to His Bride, the Church (Revelation 19:4).

John MacArthur has assured his people that they may take the false mark of the Beast during the Tribulation period, but he is also setting them up to receive the real mark of the Beast. During the first half of the Tribulation there will be a counterfeit Church and many counterfeits of end-time prophetic characters and events: a counterfeit Antichrist, a counterfeit False Prophet, and a counterfeit Mark of the Beast, to name a few. To understand the stages of this very sophisticated end-time deception, please see our expose of Satan’s Tribulation counterfeits:

    HEEDING BIBLE PROPHECY
    Understanding Satan’s Plan to Counterfeit
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ & Restoration of All Things

Christians have been misled to believe that the mark of the Beast will be the microchip implant. When this counterfeit mark arrives on the world scene, multitudes will choose to starve to death rather than receive it; which will save the perpetrators of the global conspiracy the trouble and expense of exterminating them by other means.

Many church members, however, will take the chip implant with the idea of repenting later, since popular ministers like John MacArthur have assured them it is possible to still be saved. These church members will then be told that genuine repentance requires receiving the “Seal of Solomon” or “Star of David” on their right hand or forehead. By means of this deception, the real mark of the Beast will be willingly received during initiation ceremonies performed in churches as well as synagogues, temples, mosques, shrines, groves and other sacred sites and places of worship.

Theosophist Alice Bailey disclosed in her 1957 book, Externalisation of the Hierarchy, that the Church and the Masonic Fraternity will be centers for initiations into the Mystery religion of the false Christ.

“In the esoteric group...found in all exoteric occult groups, in the church, by whatever name it may be called, and in Masonry you have the three paths leading to initiation. As yet they are not used, and one of the things that will eventuate—when the new universal religion has sway and the nature of esotericism is understood—will be the utilisation of the banded esoteric organisms, the Masonic organism and the Church organism as initiating centres...

“The Mysteries will be restored to outer expression through the medium of the Church and the Masonic Fraternity... When the Great One comes with His disciples and initiates we shall have...the restoration of the Mysteries and their exoteric presentation, as a consequence of the first initiation... the Christ...is the Hierophant of the first and second initiations and He will, if the preparatory work is faithfully and well done, administer the first initiation in the inner sanctuaries of those two bodies.” (Externalisation of the Hierarchy) 1.

A more recent book by Lee Penn, False Dawn: The United Religions Organization, Globalism and the Quest for a One World Religion (2005), reveals that Wiccans and Druids already participate in a “Mark of the Beast” ritual:

“The public face of Wicca seems benign. The reality is otherwise. Each February in San Francisco, the neo-pagan Ancient Ways bookstore hosts a 3-day ‘PantheaCon’ convention for witches which is increasingly well attended (more than 1,200 in 2000, double the 1999 attendance). The convention offers workshops that include a full range of ways to explore sacred sex, holy drug use, occultism, and black magic...

“The 2004 PantheaCon offered more of the same—or worse: ‘Chaos Magic Within the Hypnosis Paradigm,’ the ‘Ritual of the Mark of the Beast’ (a group performance of Aleister Crowley’s ritual...designed to invoke the energies of the Aeon of Horus’), ‘Kali Maa: Tradition, Devotion, and Puja,’ a Gnostic Mass presented by the Ordo Templi Orientalis, ‘Understanding Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Tarot,’ ‘Teonanacatl—The Visionary Mushroom Transforming Global Culture,’ ‘Nuit—The Limitless Goddess,’ and a participatory ‘Druid Underworld Ritual.’” (False Dawn, pp. 143-144)

    “THE STRONG DELUSION”

Phil Johnson of Grace To You defends John MacArthur’s false teaching by portraying those who received the mark as merely naive victims of deception:

“Revelation 19:20 indicates that multitudes will take the mark of the Beast because they are deceived. Scripture does not say that they are thereby automatically hardened forever against repentance. That is not the point of the strong warnings.” (Unforgivable?)

On the contrary, Scripture does say that those who worship the Beast and receive his mark will be hardened forever against repentance. For there is a progression toward committing these abominations which is chronicled in the book of Revelation. Consider the fact that following the devastating 7 Seal judgments and 6 Trumpet judgments there is a remarkable lack of repentance on earth:

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” Rev. 9:20

Even the severe judgments of the Tribulation, which God sends to bring men to repentance, will not persuade hardened sinners to repent of their idolatry, sorceries, fornication, murders and thefts. Therefore, because they “believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness,” God Himself will send them a “strong delusion”:

“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thess. 2:8-12

This idolatrous multitude will have had ample opportunity to repent, but will defiantly refuse and instead blame God for their suffering. Revelation 16 states that those who receive the Mark of the Beast have hardened their hearts to the point of blaspheming God:

    Revelation 16
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image…
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

The Tribulation period will not be the first time in history that God has extended mercy to transgressors who defiantly refused to repent. Other familiar passages in Scripture record God graciously striving with men who hardened their hearts and were given over to a reprobate, delusional mind incapable of repentance:

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh:… And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.” Genesis 6:3-7

“And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go...
“And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:.. But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go... But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.” Exodus 8:32; 9:34; 10:1, 20, 27

“…Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.” Isaiah 66:3-4

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity...” Romans 1:28-29

John MacArthur has assured those who take the counterfeit mark of the Beast that they may still be redeemed.

However, those who receive the real mark of the Beast will do so because God himself has sent them a strong delusion, so they will believe a lie and be damned.

“Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions.” Isaiah 66:3-4

The strong delusion of the Tribulation period will be the same lie the serpent told Adam and Eve, that eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would not cause them to die but make them omniscient like God:

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 3:4-5

There are strong parallels between Satan’s lie, that eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil makes man divine, and John MacArthur’s lie, that those who receive mark of the Beast may be redeemed. The following insightful commentary from F. B. Hole’s Creation and the Fall of Man explains Satan’s strategy and also relates the serpent’s lie to the strong delusion:

“We must carefully notice the way that the serpent went to work. It will not only instruct but also forewarn us, for his wiles are always similar. He aimed to undermine the creature’s confidence in the Creator, labouring first and foremost to produce distrust of God.

“He took three steps to accomplish this.

“The first was the questioning of Divine Revelation. ‘Yea, hath God said?’ were his words. He knew that if once the word of God were weakened in the woman’s mind a breach would be made in the walls of defence.

Notice that he misquoted the words in order to question it, ‘Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’ The woman corrected his misquotation but herself exaggerated the Divine prohibition, adding the words, ‘neither shall ye touch it,’ to what God had said. This proved that the poison of doubt had begun to work in her mind.

“Following up this initial advantage the serpent said, ‘Ye shall not surely die,’ thus denying the threatened penalty of ruin and death and giving the lie direct to God. He represented God’s judgment as being but an idle threat.

“Thus far the serpent had dealt in negatives, but now he comes to a positive assertion and dangles before the woman’s mind a tempting bait. ‘Ye shall be as gods,’ were the words by which he asserted deity for man as the result of disobedience, and he insinuated that God knew that this would be the result of their eating of the forbidden tree, and that the real reason why the prohibition was given was that He desired to withhold from them this coveted prize from motives of jealousy.

“Even the devil, however, does not trade in nothing but lies. He added the words, ‘knowing good and evil’ (ver. 5), which was true as far as it went. He did not add that they would only know both in finding themselves under the power of the evil and without desire for the good. Facts partially stated often do efficient service in an evil cause.

“These same three things are much in evidence in the false religious systems of to-day. However varied they may appear if subjected to only a surface inspection, a deeper analysis reveals that underneath they all agree in

“(1) Questioning revelation, i.e. the Word of God

    “(2) Denying ruin and death

    “(3) Asserting deity for man.

“Putting the three together we have ‘the lie’ to which probably reference is made in 2 Thessalonians 2:11.”

Like the serpent, John MacArthur has questioned the Word of God regarding the third angel’s warning against receiving the mark of the Beast:

“...if you’re living in the Tribulation period, and you take this mark, in other words, you identify with the beast’s empire, will you still be able to be redeemed? And I think the answer to that is yes. Yes!” (John MacArthur)

“Yea hath God said? ... If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand...he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone...for ever and ever.” (Gen. 3:1; Rev. 14:9-11)

Like the serpent, MacArthur denies that eternal ruin will be fate of those who receive the mark of the Beast:

“So I don’t think the fact that someone takes that is a sentence to, to permanency...” (John MacArthur)

“Yea hath God said? ... he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone...for ever and ever.” (Gen. 3:1; Rev. 14:11)

Like the serpent, John MacArthur has set a snare for multitudes to believe the strong delusion, that they will be redeemed if they worship the Beast and receive his mark. These deluded souls will be assured of salvation and godhood if they receive the mark; they will not become gods, however, but slaves of the Antichrist and of Lucifer. (Rev. 18:13, “slaves, and souls of men”)

John MacArthur has, in fact, written a book which teaches that the Christian’s relationship to God is one of abject slavery.

This strange book is largely based on the heretical and blasphemous teachings of anti-Christian scholars whose own books portray God as an evil slave driver who abuses his Christian slaves.

The next four sections of this report are an in depth analysis of John MacArthur’s heretical book

Slave: The Hidden Truth About Your Identity in Christ.

    1. It is probable that the Luciferic initiation will take place on a global scale during a counterfeit Christian feast, such as Christmas which is a Christianized version of the pagan Saturnalia, the festival of Saturn.

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.” Jeremiah 10:3-5

The Christmas season would be ideal for the Luciferic initiation because nearly everyone who has survived the global holocaust will be observing some form of the pagan Saturnalia Festival, a commemoration of the pre-flood era, Atlantis, which was ruled by the god Saturn.

“And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.” Rev. 11:10

    2. The ‘Ritual of the Mark of the Beast’ which is performed at the Wiccan PantheaCon in San Francisco is designed to invoke the energies of the Aeon of Horus’, the Sun-god who rises from the dead as the reincarnated Osiris during the Saturnalia, which is the Christmas season.

The liar would be the man who has mishandled the Word of God in a strange manipulation/twisting/lying about how one can supposedly “repent” of taking the Mark of the Beast... as the Scripture plainly evidences.

Yes, and we need to educate the next generation because and indubitably, young people today have no idea of the distinctions between Bernie/Biden's socialism/communism and the ideals of the Early Church.

Hey, that’s right... which is probably why Saul/Paul was holding the clothes from being blood-splattered when they were stoning Stephen, as the early church were all “Messianic Jews”, as we would describe them today.

As the Lord tells us, it is upon our generation to teach the next generation the ways of the Lord... we are not to abrogate our responsibility to public schools or even private schools...

Great article on why the First Century Church was not forcing people to "share all things in common, as each man had need" by the point of a bayonet or gun and depriving each of private property rights.

ItAnd our fathers have told us. 4We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

    5For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children; 6That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, 7That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments;

Nope, our enemy is not Democrats or Marxists or secularists ...

“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”...

... demonic powers of division, hatred, greed and jealousy who inspire evil doctrines that, for example, counterfeit the early Church's voluntary sharing “all in things in common” (Communism).

On the other hand, the Lord Jesus reserves a special judgment for False Teachers and Apostates who fail to properly handle the Word of God, because “judgment will come on the Church first”.

BTW, do you think the COVID vaccine could be related to the Mark of the Beast?

Or do you preach the same as John MacArthur, that it doesn’t really matter because - Rapture!

Or because you can repent if you take the Mark of the Beast, as MacArthur says?

Now, be a good Berean and go “study to show yourself approved”.

Yes I completely agree with your excellent post on Imprecatory Prayer, and thank you very much.

My only question about it all is how Paul does curse people in Galatians. But I think this curse has to do with the importance of theology and proper handling of the Word of God...

(which is why I am so upset about John MacArthur's statements that “one can repent after they take the Mark of the Beast” as well as the crazy ideas of the Apostolic Prophetic movement...)

Though Paul's curse in Galatians most often is used about Mormons in the last few decades:

    Berean Study Bible
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!

    Berean Literal Bible
But even if we or an angel out of heaven should preach a gospel to you contrary to what we proclaimed to you, let him be accursed!

    New American Standard Bible
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

    New King James Version
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

    King James Bible
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

    Christian Standard Bible
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him

I am aware of MacArthur's positionings after his religious statement in July (as opposed to a legal statement on COVID) that church attendance in his building is somehow mandatory.

For every thinking Christian the idea that a Covid vaccine may be used as a precursor to, or an embodiment of, the Mark of the Beast (which the Bible assures us will happen) every thinking Christian I know wonders aloud whether or not we will be able to participate in the market place or be able to “buy or sell” unless we are vaccinated.

... all of which bring to mind MacArthur's very serious apostasies regarding how he believes a Christian

“can repent after taking the Mark of the Beast”...

Will MacArthur then, because he has guilt-inflicted his flock and many outside of his flock into believing that their faith rests upon rebelling against Newsome’s admittedly insane restrictions on attending church... will MacArthur then say

“Hey, it's all okay... just get the COVID vaccine which may or may not be the Mark of the Beast because you can repent of it later... but you really HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH so therefore you really HAVE TO BE VACCINATED in order to go to church...!”

My beef with MacArthur is that he is right to criticize Pentecostals on their anti biblical excesses, but wrong when he tries to suppress the workings of the Holy Spirit for modern day Christians by saying the Holy Spirit is different for us now than it was for the early Church.

Isn't that just what Satan wants? The Church to be knee-capped by not having the outpouring of the Spirit as Joel and the Disciples said we would?

MacArthur's own apostasy about being able to “repent after you take the Mark of the Beast” may be even more dangerous thinking, though, considering what the Word actually says that John MacArthur is in abject apostasy for his statements:

“He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” (Revelation 13:15-18)

Now here is the real scary part. God Himself says in the Book of Revelation that none of His people are to receive this mark of the beast. If they do, they will end up coming under His wrath that will be released upon the earth during the latter part of the Tribulation.

God then pronounces what is the most dire warning imaginable if any of His people receive this mark. He flat out says that in addition to suffering His wrath that will be poured out during these last days – that they will also end up in the Lake of Fire and Brimstone where the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and Satan will eventually end up.

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.

And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

This came from this website, where MacArthur's strange pre-Trib rapture teaching also positions his people for Hell, in case (and I believe that) he is wrong on the rapture:

Here is some footage on CORONA virus being used as "a pandemic tabletop exercise" by John Hopkins back in October 2019. Just as Jesus was sarcastic/ironic in His discussion of Jezebelic teachings for the Church Age — how “she teaches “the so-called ‘deep things of Satan’” — my Socratic questions were meant to jar you out of some of your misconceptions regarding pentecostals.

There is no Scripture you or MacArthur can site that states the “sign” gifts were for the 1st Century Church only.

Because that would be ridiculous, for it would render null and void what was prophesied by the Prophet Joel and quoted by Peter.

Parsing through your arguments, just because you personally have no evidence, nor have never seen the gift of tongues in your life, does not make it a “dead Gift of the Holy Spirit”, especially in light of all of the bible references to it for the Church Age.

BTW, the gift of tongues is a sign for UNBELIEVERS and I have personally and miraculously seen it at work.

You are misquoting and misunderstanding a sticking point for Pentecostals and Charismatics by saying that the gift of tongues is the way in which you know you have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

To demonstrate the fallacy there on the part of the Four Square Church, which is the only church whom at one time that I know of — promulgated that faulty teaching.

As a way of demonstration, I actually know someone, a messianic Jew, who was so weirded out by the gift of tongues, that when they prayed for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, they specifically asked the Lord to NOT give them this gift, and reported that suddenly the room was filled as with a mighty, hot wind instead — as the Spirit fell amidst their holy sobs of joy.

(Keep in mind that all Christians must check their supernatural experiences at the door of Scripture; and this messianic Jew certainly knew that the Spirit also came on the day of Pentecost as a mighty rushing wind to the Disciples and Mary and others in the upper room that day...)

What you are quoting about tongues as the only sign of being filled with the Spirit is a mis-teaching or bad teaching out of Hayford’s FourSquare church, and I do not know if it has been corrected now, but they used to promote the false idea that one must manifest the gift of tongues to prove they are baptised with the Holy Spirit.

Again, I don’t know if this error in teaching about proving your status by speaking in tongues has been corrected or not, but there is no justification for it in the Word and it is too bad that this somehow got started. Too bad for the Kingdom, of course, and those promulgating this false teaching will surely be held to their higher account as such with the Lord.

As these same Foursquare ministers will be held to account for “going beyond the what is written” in the Word with outrageous and out of control screaming, shouting, being slayed in the spirit (which is not in the Word) and writhing and wiggling like reptiles on the ground as they allow such practices with their agreement with much of the Apostolic Prophetic/Vineyard movements.

None of these types of extra Biblical charismatic experiences or demonstrations are the work of the Holy Spirit, as John MacArthur rightly has pointed out,

And for discerning charismatics like myself, one cannot help but wonder if it is not demons themselves manifesting and mocking the people practicing such outrage against the self control required by a Holy God in worship.

And by demonic mocking, I mean that the devil will mock these people by getting them to demean and debase themselves in this false worship, grovelling on the ground, grunting, wiggling, being slain in the spirit (which God would never do because He will never overcome our sense of free will) etc.

It’s disgusting that these charismatic practices are not held to the idea that they have “gone beyond what is written” in their “worship” as described. (But Hayford and his pals didn’t reign in that convicted pedophile Todd Bentley of the Apostolic Prophetic movement either.)

None of the above excesses, apostasies or actual “Kundalini” demonic possession in the Pentecostal or Charismatic movements, however, justifies John MacArthur’s wholesale indictment of the entire pentecostal position, by basically teaching a double-minded position that modern Christians cannot act in the same miracle power of the Holy Spirit as did the Disciples, yet the Holy Spirit is still at work in a much lesser degree than the 1st Century Church?

    This makes no sense whatsoever.

Thanks for the lesson here. Of course imprecatory prayer is forbidden for the Church (though I have personally seen it and protested against it within the Apostolic Prophetic movement:

““For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

As a footnote to why Paul uses this idea of "wrestling" with supernatural beings.... Paul undoubtedly wrote this about “wrestling with principalities” because that is precisely what happened with Jacob when he wrestled with a principality (an angel) for his promised land.

And Paul knew we would understand that Jacob, by admitting what his name really meant “Cheater” to the angel, Jacob was repenting of his sin... and this is precisely when the Angel gave him a new name and allowed him passage...

... i.e. like Jacob/Israel we cannot enter into our promise for our own lives unless and until we repent.

Repentance is the key to how we win when we wrestle against Principalities.

Repentance is the key to how we enter into our own promise.

We are never to pick up the sword against flesh and blood “enemies” but to pray for them, mindful that “there but for the grace of God go I.”

"Most cessationists believe that, while God can and still does perform miracles today, the Holy Spirit no longer uses individuals to perform miraculous signs."

    https://www.gotquestions.org/cessationism.html

LOL... then what by entity are the miraculous signs of the Holy Spirit performed, if not by individual humans??

After His resurrection from the dead, Jesus declared that signs would follow those who believed in Him.

    MARK 16:17-18 NKJ

    17 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Scripture never says these signs would ever stop following believers. If you believe -- they will follow you!

And since "signs and wonders" are not to be sought, but organically follow in the lives of believers...

(Jesus replied, "A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.")

... what exactly does MacArthur believe will follow believers, if not the signs and wonders promised by Christ?

Therein lies the "doublemindedness" inbred in John MacArthur's teachings.

    Cessationism = 2 Timothy 3:5

KJV: “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

NASB: “holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.”

NLT: “They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”

Do you believe that God changed the languages of everyone at the Tower of Babel?

Do you believe the similar miracle occurred when Peter spoke in the Book of Acts, and different peoples understood him in their native tongue?

Do you believe that the same Holy Spirit fell at Pentecost that indwells believers today?

There is no evidence that the first century miracles simply dried up, as MacArthur teaches.

While I agree with much of what MacArthur teaches on the “going beyond the Word” aspects of lunatic charismatics, this does not mean that signs and wonders will stop following believers, or that we are somehow shorn of the baptism of the Holy Spirit of which was missing and given to John the Baptist's disciples, who immediately began to prophesy and speak in tongues, in the book of Acts.

1And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”

So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”

3And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?”

So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”

4Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”

5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. 7Now the men were about twelve in all.

This is the sort of thing that MacArthur cuts out of the Word, and thereby renders his brand of Christianity as one denuded of the power of the Spirit, because he denies that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as happened to the first century church happens today...

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

“The druidic “summer sessions with the church kids did happen. As for me....

The Word who was also God was made flesh and dwelt amongst us. Yeshua is the Christ come in the flesh spoken of in 1 John 4.

MacArthur has done and said some questionable things that give me pause. He is right about the 1 st amendment issues and he should have the right to run his church and worship as he sees fit.

I fear he may screw his gambit up. Other more grounded churches now have to come along side to blunt any “tangential” damage MacArthur may do.

(I’m not suggesting he would do anything deliberately, but if he is off base and doing things in his own strength, he may fail and we’ll fail with him)"

He's off base, demonstrably, by his cutting and pasting Pentecost out of the Word; therefore he is doing things in his own strength.
