The music scene — that would be Austin. Austin proper is full of libs, but some of the areas around Austin are certainly not. Austin traffic is pretty bad too.

San Antonio is a lot bigger & a lot more diverse. Mostly lib politicians, with conservatives in outlying areas. The same generally applies to Dallas and Houston.

That’s amazing. Back then, people would have practically no warning that something might be coming their way either. The weather service didn’t start issuing tornado alerts until 1950.

I think I misread that too.

Looks like its open weekends only in May and Sept, but open every day for Jun July & Aug.

There’s a spring fed pool near Wimberley called The Blue Hole, but it’s only open for a couple of months out of the year.

Lawmakers in January agreed to suspend the debt ceiling until May 18, allowing the White House and Congress negotiate new spending and tax plans. But the sides haven’t made a deal, so on May 19 the debt limit will be restored to its previous level, plus the amount of borrowing that occurred while the limit was suspended.

That means that the Treasury will be up against the limit on Sunday.
