You (I) do not tithe to a preacher. I tithe to God. IF a preacher (Pastor) misuses monies given to God, I am not concerned. HE will answer for the misuse. I will answer for my decision to tithe.

I do Not subscribe to the Prosperity Gospel. I do not tithe to be better off. BUt I do believe I am better off that I tithe. Tithing says to God, “I TRUST You.”

Who wouldn’t want to tell God that?

If I didn’t tithe, I would, in effect, be telling God,”Yes, I trust you with my salvation, but this money thing, I got it, I dont need your help.”

Such a ‘cynical’ view. I know, closely, a woman who was a single Mom, raising/supporting two sons on a very limited income, with NO paternal support. Praise be to God, she was making ends meet (sort of). And then, she got saved. And out of her meager income, she began tithing ....$40 a week. Her son asked why she was giving that $40, because they”couldn’t afford that.”

She replied that they could not afford NOT TO give that. She has since prospered.

Do we tithe to Get Gain? No.

We tithe to the church out of monies that God has provided us. I am convinced, through scripture, that tithing with a cheerful, giving heart will result in God providing for all your needs (not Wants).

Just disconnect the TV. No cable, no satellite, no network. It’s all trash, monies going to people who spread perversion. I’ve not had outside TV in over 6 years and do not miss it. I find I have more time.

Will lift you up in prayer. My step father, suffering from COPD also has developed heart issues that recently required this procedure. It has helped him. May you be blessed with a positive outcome also.

When a Christian says he is praying for his enemies, it is not really praying for good things or blessings, except for the blessing that God would open their eyes and soften their hearts. Were this to happen, then that enemy now potentially Not your enemy.

Christ came when almost All people then alive were enemies to Him, and he prayed for their forgiveness.

Yes, society does determine what things will be allowed, even if these things to be allowed are wrong. In that case, society is wrong.

It is not possible to do or allow wrong and then claim to be right or just.

Nature (and power) abhor a vacuum. In the absence of God (who we have pushed away and turned away from), the Devil, or Satan will come to fill that moral void. My position, my view, is that following God will bring blessings beyond reckoning. However, refusing God and following the Devil, well, it will bring calamity and destruction beyond the wildest nightmare.

Jesus showed that. It is anger against ‘wrong’, not persons. He showed that flipping tables and even using a batch of cords to drive ‘thieves’ from the Temple was acceptable.

His word is absolute. God says some things are wrong and bad. He says others things are good and right. These do not change. They are not good for some and bad for others. They are immutable.

It is wrong for me to kill (murder). In fact, Jesus says even anger, that is not righteous, is a sin.

It is wrong for me to steal, even if I take those ‘gains’ and give them to the poor or to the church.

His word is absolute. He speaks plainly through it and it is easily understandable.

IF you accept that God made us, then you also are obliged to heed His word.

Everyone does have things they think are right or wrong, THIS INCLUDES GOD, our Creator. He has been very forthcoming with what HE says is RIGHT and what HE says is wrong. Believing His word, makes it all very simple.

While you may not DO either of those things, accepting them as potentially ‘valid’ behaviors puts you in the group of enablers.

It does not matter how the homosexuals see it. The behavior is wrong. The activity is wrong. Homosexuality is not an identity, it is a behavior.

We are given these ‘needs’ you refer to. They are for procreation and couple-bonding, AND these needs are to be fulfilled within the bounds of marriage. And marriage is the institution God created that is the union of a (as in one or a single) man and a (Again, just one) woman.

Other desires, and their activities, are so far beyond wrong they were given a special word to describe them - abomination.

Seems simple and clear cut to me, regardless of how a homosexual or lesbian, or zoophile, or pedophile, or necrophile might perceive it.

And so now, in addition to seeing the ‘good’ in abortion (after all, it reduces the ‘cost’ of caring for all those children), you even see the ‘necessity’ for perverse sexual behavior, just to ‘fulfill those needs’ of course.

I worked in Canada, and was treated to the experiences of the Canadians regarding their healthcare. It is not well loved, nor is it cheaper.

It is believed that Genesis was written by Moses. I would say that Moses probably knew little or had never heard of the theory of ‘evolution’. Yet here, the Bible seems to record that serpents (snakes) at one time did not go on their bellies.

I have a large snake, a Yellow Anaconda, named Ducky. If you look on him, he has, near his tail, two spurs. These spurs are attached to small skeletal pieces. Evolutionists will call these ‘vestigial legs’.
