A new academic paper studying the rise of violent, far-left extremist networks warns of the possibility of “attacks on vital infrastructure” and even a potential “mass-casualty event.” The Network Contagion Research Institute’s report warns that militant anarcho-socialist networks are instigating violence in ways that parallel Islamist terrorists and white supremacist groups. Connecticut will on Wednesday allow residents to eat in outdoor restaurants and shop inside stores, becoming the last of all 50 states to ease social-distancing orders to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Still, Connecticut officials, as are those in other states, are taking a measured, step-by-step approach to reopening and getting their economies restarted. Gyms, nail salons, spas, theaters and tattoo parlors and bars that do not serve food will remain closed until at least June 20, unless earlier modified.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Governor Ned Lamont has announced on Monday that he is delaying the reopening of hair salons and barbershops. Salons and barbershops were originally due to reopen on Wednesday, May 20, during phase one of the state’s reopen plan amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fox News host Sean Hannity said tonight that colleague Jeanine Pirro’s Saturday show would return this weekend after a two-week absence. Hannity was doing a phone interview with President Donald Trump on his Wednesday night show when he made the remark. Fox News has not yet confirmed that Pirro will return. Pirro’s regular Saturday night program Justice with Judge Jeanine, was yanked for two weeks of documentary programming after she questioned Rep. Illhan Omar’s Muslim religious beliefs and whether they were at-odds with the US Constitution.

Democrat Dannel Malloy has pulled ahead to a 7 point lead in the race for governor in the latest Quinnipiac University poll that was released this morning. Malloy, the former mayor of Stamford for 14 years, had 49 percent of those polled, while Foley, the former U.S. ambassador to Ireland, had 42 percent. The poll showed that 7 percent are undecided and 20 percent say they could change their mind before Election Day.
