I think that Airbus took the bait from Boeing on the future of aviation and commited to the A-380. Once they committed to to the A-380 they swallowed the hook. The Dreamliner, I believe, was announced after Airbus hung its hat on the A-380. Game, set, match to Boeing.

Kathleen Falk has a nice paying gig for the next 2 years and will probably ride off into the sunset with her pockets lined with benefits supplied by the average Joe taxpayer, ala Tom Ament (Milwaukee County).

A snub by Jim Doyle is nothing to sneeze at. She is probably done in WI politics. Doyle was counting on her as his personal firewall against legal actions aimed at his shady campaign funds. Falk was his choice to run against Lautenschlager, and win in a big Dem landslide. Didn't happen for Falk and Doyle. Van Hollen should start turning over rocks up in Madison to see where the snakes are hiding after all of these years of Doyle/Lautenschlager.

  • The Big Lie About the Middle East,Tell Baker: Arab nations don't care about the Palestinians

Let's include Jimmy Carter, the World's foremost authority on Mid-Eastern affairs, in the discussion. Mr. Carter seems to know everything about the Middle-East 30 years after he was hung up and left out to dry by Iran. The Camp David Accords lasted how long? To quote from Wiki/Pedia:

"The time that has elapsed since the Camp David Accords has left no doubt as to their enormous ramifications on Middle Eastern politics. Most notably, the perception of Egypt within the Arab world changed. With the most powerful of the Arab militaries and a history of leadership in Arab world under Nasser, Egypt had more leverage than any of the other Arab states to advance Arab interests. Sadat's alacrity at concluding a peace treaty without demanding greater concessions for Israeli recognition of the Palestinians' right to self-determination incited enough hatred in the Arab world to bring about Sadat's assassination in 1981. Egypt was also suspended from the Arab League from 1979 until 1989.

Also, the Camp David Accords prompted the disintegration of a united Arab front in opposition to Israel. Egypt's realignment created a power vacuum that Saddam Hussein of Iraq, at one time only a secondary consideration, hoped to fill. Because of the vague language concerning the implementation of Resolution 242, the Palestinian problem became the primary issue in the Arab-Israeli conflict immediately following the Camp David Accords (and arguably, until today). Many of the Arab nations blamed Egypt for not putting enough pressure on Israel to deal with the Palestinian problem in a way that would be satisfactory to them.

Lastly, the biggest consequence of all may be in the psychology of the participants of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The success of Begin, Sadat, and Carter at Camp David demonstrated to other Arab states and entities that negotiations with Israel were possible — that progress results only from sustained efforts at communication and cooperation. Despite the disappointing conclusion of the 1993 Oslo Accords between the PLO and Israel, and even though the 1994 Israel-Jordan Treaty of Peace has not fully normalized relations with Israel, both of these significant developments had little chance of occurring without the precedent set by Camp David."

Granted, it is a long read, but the fact is that Jimmy Carter, apparently, has a vested interest in the success of the PLO. His legacy depends on the establishment of an independent Palestinian Nation. Jimmy, do you have room on your peanut farm for a few million Palestinians?

A Chink in the Armor? Could be,as they say. A thin skin will never get you to 1600 PA Ave. GWB has set the standard for ignoring slings and arrows and doing what is right for the USA. Apparently Obama cannot handle certain kinds pressure, no matter how glib he appears.

Here is a revolting image: President Obama and First Lady Maureen Dowd. Yikes: "Stop The World, I Want to Get Off".

These photos were obviously taken from a "Flying Carpet". Being that the carpet fibers and the carpet rider do not reflect radar back to the ships they can fly over anything they want and take pictures. These are very intelligent people. They have given the world flying carpets, hacksaw decapitations (captured on film no less), the ancient art of stoning to death helpless ladies suspected of adultery.

Not to worry, the USA is now under the control of the Democrats. I am sure that they will make everything right again.

Our next door neighbor has a dog that looks exactly like those on the cover of "Science News". When they first got her, maybe 10 years ago, they proclaimed that she was a Yellow Lab. I said to myself "no way is that dog a YL". The neighbor's dog looks and acts exactly like a dog that is defined in various publications as a "Universal Mutt".

The neighbor's dog can be intimidating, as it is towards my wife (she runs from it), or submissive, as with me when I establish that I am the pack leader. I do believe that they have a wild dog that has adapted to a domestic situation. Wild in the sense that it has reached a genetic common ground between wild/cannot be domesticated (wolf, fox, etc.} and wild /can be domesticated (Carolina Dog or maybe the Dingo).

    It is a fascinating subject.

It is nice that Ayers and Dohrn can be so flip about this bombing. Mr. Fassnacht left a family behind while Ayers and Dohrn bask in relative comfort today on the Gold Coast of Chicago. The Math Building bombing in Madison that year was the blueprint for the Oklahoma City bombing and the first World Trade Center bombing.

The recipe for such a horrendous weapon was well documented in under-ground literature for many years. Burt,Ayers and Dohrn are unfeeling contributors to the mess that we have on our hands today.

You are a "Creepy liar" as one of your bagmen said to an honorable Swift boat Veteran on National TV.

I believe it was said before that it will take nuclear power plants to produce fuel grade hydrogen. Furthermore we must go nuclear to release the potential energy embedded in oil shale. 80% of the oil shale in the US is on Federal land.
If I recall correctly the energy contained in US oil shale is the largest concentration oil energy on the planet. Why aren't we producing fuel from it? We have known about it for a hundred years.

Carrots have made a Quantum leap in recent years from dingy bunches that you had to scrape the skin off to petite little crunchy morsels that are often sold with their own supply of savory sauce (the alliteration was accidental [sorry, there I go again]).

I eat more carrots now than I ever did because of how they are packaged. Somebody did a good job marketing carrots.

Maybe the dog should have laid down and STFU. Instead he went on National TV with his moronic attempts to be Mr. Cool with Ear Rings, Arm Bands, Head Bands, Feathers and a very fat wife stuffed into a very small skirt/top. He made big bucks and now he is going to have to deposit it into a Mexican bank account, if they have their way. That is what I think of "The Dog".

On the other hand, should we send someone to Mexico for a trumped up violation while Mexico will not send known murderers to the US because we have the death penalty? I don't think so.
