Poopy pool was about how the media would resort to reporting on ANYTHING rather than the latest developments on the clinton scandals.

Many may have bought into the "just about sex" mantra but during those days we had Loral winning clearance (after donating $ to clinton) to launch rockets in China. Clinton took money from the daughter of a chinese general, a chinese spy, and from chinese companies tied to their military.

The media spent so much time with their poopy pool reporting that we old timers created a Poopy Pool thread to make fun of them. It went over 20 pages and was hilarious. The original was lost but some still remember the fun we had on that thread.

While being treated she tried to kill a wounded American soldier, and at the end when Alda’s escape plan failed, she screamed at him about how much she hated him and wanted to kill him. Alda’s character was stunned as the ROK soldier laughed in his face about how little he truly knew about the enemy.

The dirty little secret is they don’t want to be citizens. The just want legal status so they can get better jobs than cutting lawns or working for temp agencies. I split the cable just prior to my wireless router and ran one end to the router for internet, the other to my digital TV. I get, without paying for cable, all my local channels, Fox news, Ion, and some other stuff-about 25-30 channels total in digital quality. At first I thought it was BS but apparently when you cancel cable tv, but still pay for internet-since they use the same wire they are unable to fully block the cable tv signal.

I could be wrong but it seems the article is making the argument that:

If 1000 people building brake pads for a profit of $2.5 million all lose their jobs while 50 people building a jet for a profit of $5 million gain jobs...then US manufacturing output (measured in value added) has doubled therefore we should not worry.

That reasoning, if I am understanding the point of the author correctly, seems “off” to me.

Veetle is another great site. Can be tricky using the first time but the HD content is amazing. Its basically like YouTube but instead of a few minutes of video uploaded by a user, its entire movies or TV shows one after another on a live stream. People get so into it that they basically are creating their own HBO-like channel with no commercials and even have schedules like TV guide.

Have been unplugged for nearly 2 years now. Dirty little secret is that Comcast uses the same wire for cable and internet so when you stop paying for cable, they can not stop about 25 channels (including your locals) from still coming thru the wire including Fox News.

To be honest though-I still don’t watch regular TV. I spent about $400 on a cheap desktop with HDMI output with a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard and now everything I watch is internet based.

So many websites carry EVERYTHING you would want to see that even $7 a month Netflix is no longer needed.

So glad I have no idea what “twink” or “bear” means.

With shows like MTV’s real world having a homosexual character, news profiles about a “courageous” homosexual teen boy trying to take his boyfriend to prom or getting elected as homecoming “queen”, Queer eye for the straight guy, etc etc etc Hollywood removed the “ick” factor.

Totally disagree. Every action our new Pope takes is well publicized. The fact he is rejecting many of the regal trappings is awesome and sets a great example.
