Sorry, for the personal nature of the Thread BUT...I recently got diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and had never heard of it.I'm posting the Thread to ask if anyone here on FreeRepublic is familiar with MG, either them self directly, or has a friend or loved one who has the disease.MG, apparently, has been around forever and is 'kind of' a cousin of MS (Multiple Sclerosis). So far, it's been pretty debilitating with blurred vision, loss of strength, balance problems, and extraordinary fatigue from not a lot of activity and heat. From what I've learned, it's not a curable disease...

23 years ago today, after lurking weeks, maybe months, yours truly, finally pulled the trigger and signed-on to what became my go to website for unfiltered information from like minds. Thanks to JimRob, and his brother John, I've remained 'in the game' politically knowledge wise, and been able to maintain some level of sanity given the idiocy and bias of the mainstream media and their armada of sycophants wasting the airwaves.23 years and counting, and yes, I am counting. Thanks to those who proceeded me to the forum, and a very special thanks to both Jim & John's ability to keep the...
  • Donald Trump to Appear on Powerful Debut Episode of Bongino's Show to Fill Limbaugh's Time Slot

Conservative commentator Dan Bongino will be joined by former President Donald Trump on Monday during Bongino’s first national radio broadcast, as he attempts to help fill the void left behind by late radio icon Rush Limbaugh.Limbaugh, who passed away from lung cancer in February, of course, can never be replaced. But in the absence of his booming voice and towering intellect, many conservatives seeking some semblance of normality on the radio while they drive or work are in need of a boost.Limbaugh’s old time slot, Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET, will become Bongino’s beginning on May...
  • Is it Time to Fly our American Flags Upside Down to Express Our Concern that Our Republic is in a State of Distress??

However, it is said that; "The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property," BUT, some may interpret the above as follows; “Dire distress and extreme danger to life or property” should not be taken lightly here. These instances do not include moments of personal dissatisfaction or times of protest. While it is legal to express yourself in whatever way you so chose, it is illegal to fly an American flag upside down unless you are in a life or death situation. People have...

The August 4th Primary in Michigan saw a historically high number of absentee ballots and there is a disturbance all through the state of Michigan about it, but especially in Wayne Country, which is where Rashida Tlaib won her primary against Brenda Jones, and where a city clerk is facing a takeover of her office if she doesn’t get serious about counting votes right. The Detroit News reported about the most recent election,” Recorded ballot counts in 72% of Detroit’s absentee voting precincts didn’t match the number of ballots cast, spurring officials in Michigan’s largest county to ask the state...

If you’re going to drain the swamp, you’ve gotta call it out…aka; the ‘Rest of the Story’ A decade ago, Time Magazine unveiled an in-depth article on the death of Detroit. One of the politicians whom the article blamed for Detroit’s woes was Rep. John Dingell. The Dingell clan has held a congressional seat outside Detroit since 1932. Their 87-year tenure has not coincidentally coincided with the decline of a thriving industrial city into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. But it’s been good for the Dingells, three of whom have sat in their congressional seat since the days of Herbert Hoover, the...

  • CENSURE - Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) FOR OBSTRUCTION

    09/28/2018 12:13:05 PM PDT · by harpu · 28 replies
    self | 09/28/18 | self
Censure - Less severe than expulsion, a censure (sometimes referred to as condemnation or denouncement) does not remove a senator from office. It is a formal statement of disapproval, however, that can have a powerful psychological effect on a member and his/her relationships in the Senate. Given the above, I think it would be appropriate for all FReepers to contact their Senators, in addition to the Majority Leader, and request a direct response and explanation as to "why Senator Feinstein (D-CA) should not be censured for actions interfering and/or obstruction with the due process of the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding...

I am a Jew turned evangelical Christian. I am also a passionate supporter of Donald Trump. I have a message for Christians who don’t like Donald Trump: “YOU’RE MISSING THE BOAT.” Christians have Trump all wrong. God sends messages in many forms. You’re just not listening. God is talking, but you’re eyes and ears are closed. Here’s a famous joke about God and how he talks to us. “A deeply faithful Christian man is stuck on roof of home with massive flooding up to 2nd floor. Rowboat comes. He says “No, I’m waiting for God. I’ve prayed and I know...
  • Kasich shuns OH state law, lets Planned Parenthood resume abortions

    GOPUSA ^ | June 6, 2016 | Michael F. Haverluck, OneNewsNow.com
The administration of former Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) has given Planned Parenthood a waiver allowing it to continue performing abortions — even though it goes against state law. The waiver has many pro-life advocates up in arms because Planned Parenthood failed to comply with Ohio state law —a law that makes it mandatory for surgical facilities to have an emergency patient-transfer agreement in place with a local hospital. Ohio Department of Health Director Richard Hodges issued Planned Parenthood permission by issuing it a variance last week so that the abortion giant’s clinic in Cincinnati’s suburb of Mount...

  • Ballot access requirements for independent Presidential Candidates

    Ballotpedia.org ^ | Unknown | Unknown
Generally speaking, an independent presidential candidate must petition for placement on the general election ballot in all 50 states, as well as Washington, D.C. A handful of states may allow an independent candidate to pay a filing fee in lieu of submitting a petition. The methods for calculating how many signatures are required vary considerably from state to state, as do the actual signature requirements. For instance, some states establish a flat signature requirement. Other states calculate signature requirements as percentages of voter registration or votes cast for a given office. In order to access the ballot nationwide, it is...
