You have made my point exactly.

A .22 wont stop a charging crack head, but then a .45 probably wont either. Brandish a gun and it is very unlikely that perps intent on robbing you or beating you or kidnapping you for an ATM withdrawal probably are not going to want to press the issue and probably cannot tell the caliber of the gun while they are running away.

I would never carry one because I like big holes and want insurance against someone too mad or stupid to run away. But 95% of the time or more, you pull a.22 on a perp and he is not going to want to get shot and cant tell the caliber anyway while he is still pocessing the fact he expected you to be disarmed.

    Excellent example.

What kind of idiot lets a perp close to 20 feet before presenting his firearm. Nobody in real life.

The 21 foot rule is real, and yes the assailant will close the distance before a victim can unholster and present his weapon. In reality, if I see a man coming at me with a knife, i have my gun on target on trigger long brfore he gets 7 steps from me, and I am trying to create distance all the time.

Try the same drill with the victim on target on trigger, and Mr Knife gets shot every time.

The only use for the drill with holstered weapons is to emphasize not to let someone close to 7 steps with your firearm holstered. That is called “situational awareness” and it means you have the gun out at low ready as soon as you see a man with a knife approaching ou. If he keeps it up, then you go on target and shout for him to STOP.

A gun is always better than a knife unless you are highly HIGHLY trained in knife fighting.

I realize a .22 has no immediate stopping power but it is still a gun. It wont stop someone on PCP, but it could easily stop anyone who doesnt want to get shot. Just seeing a gun pointed at them causes most all assailants to flee. It is a small amount who will rush you. A small .22 still makes a loud BANG, and any bang says dangerous to most people. Not many will stick around while you are shooting that .22 their way to analyze the caliber. For most perps it is an Oh Fuuuuuuuu moment and they dont wait around to see if you are shooting blanks or a .44.

Gun all day every day, even a .380 or .25 or .22. It still goes bang.

Internet warriors will tell you you are toast without at least a .44 magnum. I would love to know how many people successfully stopped an assault with a .22, .25, or .380. I would love to know the numbers.

Yep. Hollywood gave us role models in the 1930s to 1950s. Self sacrificing heroes of noble character who overcame stacked odds of evil against them, but persevered in righteousness and so, prevailed.

Today’s poor kids have what? Zombies and undead. Disney men who are increasingly effiminate while the women are the action heroes, but nothing is risked or gained. Just meant ndless action swamped with PC.

No wonder toda’s kids don’t get it. They have been ripped off.

I was raised on Westerns like Wanted: Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen, and all those John Wayne Westerns from the 1930s and 1940s. I think those shows and movies were a large part of the makeup of my character. Sure, my parents raised me to be moral and scouting encouraged morality, but there was nothing like show after show and movie after movie where the bad guys cheated, lied and stole but always lost to the good guys, who had to do things the right way, morally.

That code of the west really burned itself into a young mind and helped to make me a moral person. What do the young have today? Nothing but anti-heroes and zombies. It is sad.

Trump is rich, powerful, and twice divorced. Who thinks he isn’t a horn dog sowing his oats. I we had a conservative President who had better values and hadn’t cheated on his wives, but it is what it is.

We are at war. If I have to settle for a man who cheats on his wives to hold off the communist hordes shoving us into totalitarian tyranny, I am perfectly willing to make that deal with the devil. I just don’t care, as long as Trump fixes the economy, reduces regulations, cleans up the agencies, builds the wall, and fulfills his promises — I just don’t give a rats ass that he is a scumbag about cheating on his wives. That is not my problem.

Yep, to be sure. How else can the New World Order impose global governance on us other than to break us into cultural factions. Divide and conquer. The immigration nvasion is a large and necessary part of that.

Low birthrate is such an easy problem to fix. Basically, make everything regarding children tax free so that having additional children is basically free. That would take the economics out of it.

Instead, all our modern laws punish the man/woman/child nuclear family because they are intent on destroying it. If the Fed Gov heavily subsidized having more than 2 children, you would see a lot more people having more than 2 children.

I realize this isn’t the only consideration, as many people see raising children as a negative thing and want to get it over with ASAP. I’m just saying, if the Fed Gov really wanted us to have a high native birthrate they would subsidize children and prohibit abortion.

The laws and financial policies are all geared to encourage couples NOT to have kids, and that is the pretext they need to flood us with immigrants.

    This was all by design.

This is all by design to subordinate America to global governance.

Divide and conquer. They know that America will fracture into non-cooperating subgroups if they can just get populations large enough.

Look at black US culture. They now have to have their own entire naming system because being Jim or Patty is white. After 175 years trying to solve racial problems, we now have black subculture becoming completely Balkanized from mainstream white culture. This may not be complete yet, but it is prolific and the trend is accelerating.

Now if they can make us 30% Hispanic and they fracture into their own subculture, we all be far easier to control.

This Balkanization is completely by design. It is an intentional means to an end. The New World Order NEEDS US and Europe to be border-less and flooded with non-white residents. As racist as that sounds, it is the truth. If we were a powerful all black nation, they would be flooding us with people from Denmark and Norway.

The goal is to fracture us into separate non-cooperating groups. This is not a matter of “if” but of “when”.

  • 7 Brutal Truths That Will Make Your Life Better If You Accept Them

    03/21/2018 12:00:09 AM PDT · 60 of 67
    Freedom_Is_Not_Free to 21twelve

One of my cornerstone rules for happiness is this, “Never fall in love with your stuff”.

For the longest time, I have acted like all my material possessions are rented and can be repossessed at any time. I try to get the maximum enjoyment from my material possessions as I go along and not cry over spilled milk when they are gone.

People will go to pieces when there is a house fire and they lose their custom designed home, all their wedding photos and heirlooms, antiques and prize possessions. Or your signed Babe Ruth ball gets stolen. Or your kid snuck out and played with your Stradivarius you just backed over in the SUV. It is all just “stuff” folks.

This really helps to keep me balanced when a favorite car gets totaled, or a favorite coat gets left in a hotel, or a cherished artifact gets smashed and broken.

Once you accept that only family, friends, and your health have any real meaning, and that all your “stuff” is borrowed and can disappear at any time for any reason, it really helps keep you balanced when disaster strikes.

I love the scene in Schindlers’s List when the wealthy Jewish couple is forced to leave home for the ghetto and they gather up their jewelry, silver and furs and as an audience we almost want to scream at them that crap is unimportant because they are clueless to the terror and death that awaits them in the concentration camps.

It is just “stuff” folks. There isn’t a single item of “stuff” you own that you can’t live with. A lost wedding ring does not dissolve a marriage. A stolen heirloom does not obliterate your family tree. Even losing a smart phone that is perfectly set up, while a royal pain to start from scratch — it is replaceable, it is expendable, and it is just “stuff”.

NEVER fall in love with your STUFF. Never. Enjoy it temporarily for as long as you happen to have it, but when it burns up or breaks or gets stolen or lost, it is just stuff folks. Being prepared to lose it at any time makes that loss painless.

Good, as it should be. I have heard nothing about this case for a year and I assumed it would be swept behind the blue wall of secrecy. It is great that a cop who panicked and negligently shot and killed an innocent person is going to be tried for his crime.

I am very pro LEO and I think most are good guys worthy of our support, until they cover up for the few bad apples. The best way for police to strengthen my support for them is to quit covering for bad cops or covering for good cops who make a stupid or flawed mistake. Cops should not be above the law when they screw up.

I feel badly for the cop but not nearly as badly as I feel for the family of the murdered woman. This cop has to pay for his crime of negligence. We need to get past the long time when cops get off scott free for doing things we would go to prison for.

The authorities are doing the right thing. I have to applaud them for trying this cop for his mistake. It was murder, even if only in the 3rd degree or manslaughter, but he did negligently kill her. He has to take his punishment.
