I think you’re on to something. I see a gradual decline in popular culture while those who are oblivious to quality clamor to have a part in it. Priorities are out of order. Advertisers seem to want to show consumers a world that doesn’t really exist. Local news media seem to be in the business of lifestyle advocacy with a general bias against conservatism. Non-nuclear family dynamics are not really any kind of “new normal”, they’re only artificially ‘normalized’ by anti-Western, anti-American ideologies and a popular culture which is far too popular among youths who are far too weak and impressionable to develop clear and independently thinking minds of their own. Common sense (the good kind) is prevalent among conscientious observers who see a world of difference between the old and the new. We are looking at how the saying “out with the old, in with the new” doesn’t ring true like it used to. We see it every day. Let there be no doubt that left unchecked and unopposed, this global debacle will lead to actual doomsday scenarios, however wittingly or unwittingly. The future should’ve been slapped out of their hands before they started playing with those matches.
“auto workers, steel workers, coal miners have been dealing with layoffs for decades.”
In the Automotive design and engineering world of SE Michigan, CAD operators can be salaried group managers working for an OEM or they can be salaried non-managerial designers (OEM) and they can be hourly contract employees working on site as “designers” on the same team(s) as OEM employees. Some UAW members are CAD operators but only because they work for an OEM or possibly a major Tier 1 supplier manufacturing facility. If you’re an hourly contract employee, you’re probably not with the UAW or any other union and you never have been because even though drafting is a still a skilled trade, there’s still nowhere that a Draftsman can go to find that kind of employment and occupational representation.
Per the headline- They “may” indeed have some “trouble” along the way in Alabama. Then again, they may not have any trouble whatsoever. Even if he does run into trouble of some sort, he and his entire camping trip may find their way around it. I think they’ll be on the AL ballot but not without the appearance of impropriety.
