Which is why most leftists favored the "blank slate" or tabula rasa theory when I was growing up fifty years ago. If you agreed with that "theory," then the only differences between different ethnic groups in wealth or achievement could be attributed to discrimination and oppression by one group over another. That theory has since been thoroughly disproved, but it hasn't stopped many leftists in believing in and promoting that theory. Of course, most arch-feminists still believe in that theory. Many, including Gloria Steinem, still argue that males and females are exactly the same apart from sexual differences.

If different rates of achievement could be attributed to individual, hard-wired genetic characteristics and not one group oppressing another, the edifice of lies that constitutes leftism would be thoroughly discredited.

Liberals stand common sense on its head. Only anarchists, not conservatives, claim no government is necessary. Conservatives simply believe the least amount of government necessary is the best solution. But conservatives have more faith in their fellow citizens to solve their problems than liberals. However, to claim that the Founders would like a central government to have all the guns is beyond ridiculous. Only a lover of big, dominant central government would make that claim.

We’ll probably never find anything written or recorded...no paper or electronic trail. But a nod and a wink and an “innocent” remark can have just as devastating repercussions. “Will no one rid me of these troublesome conservatives?” uttered by someone who might reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue could be enough words for lackeys to take the hint.

If I had a child going to college whose tuition I was paying for, the financial assistance would totally be dependent on what the child’s major was. Anything in the area of women’s, minorities, sexual studies, etc. would not get a penny from me.

Not to pick on WV, but many years ago I saw a documentary about Appalachia. Many of the people interviewed were unemployed. They complained about there being no jobs in their area. I wanted to shout at them through the tv screen: Why don’t you move to where the jobs are then pal?

My local newsrag, The La Crosse (Wi) Tribune, has barely mentioned any of the scandals. Most Americans get their news from leftist rags or the leftist alphabet networks. Which means they’re the most uninformed people not only in America but in any of the western countries.

Believe me...leftists love animals more than they love humans. In fact, if you could apply truth serum to them, they’d admit they’d love to see half the world’s population die tomorrow. Oh yes, they love baby seals a lot more than they love humans.

The problem with the line of thinking that these scandals will outrage the public is the fact that they should have been outraged in 2008. But they weren't.... they voted in a person who had an undeniable radical-leftist past. I was one of those naïve people who thought that once voters saw Obama's relationship with Jeremiah Wright and others, it would sink his presidential hopes. Nothing happened. He breezed through the election with great approval ratings.

I don't know what would sink Obama short of being caught clubbing baby seals. Maybe not even that.

There was also the phrase I heard fifty years ago that a black athlete had to be twice as good as a white player to get a particular job. Another was black people never get a second chance. Both are easy to disprove. It's true that fifty years ago and before, black athletes on many pro teams were either stars or superstars. Many clubs did not want too many black athletes on their rosters unless they were exceptional players. In the fifties, most black pros were great players. Nevertheless, even by the sixties, many clubs had black ballplayers who were average.

But no athlete in any major sport has ever been twice as good as another. It's simply physically impossible. In fact once you've been playing a certain sport for enough time (like golf or tennis), and you're healthy, it's impossible to improve beyond five or ten percent. Which would be an enormous improvement.

Another fallacy was the "if they fail, blacks never get a second chance." That one has also been disproven so many times it's beyond counting. I recall numerous black ballplayers (Marvin Barnes, Randy Moss, many others) who screwed up numerous times, but were given second chances by clubs desperate for talent. The pernicious effect of those lies was to give many young black athletes a ready-made excuse (white racism) if they failed, but it also probably discouraged many from trying thinking that if they failed, they'd never get a second chance.

I understand your point, but I’m losing faith in the idea of the revelation of scandals securing votes for the good side. Even before all these recent scandals..heck, even before he was first elected in 2008 Obama was a walking scandal. We might gain next year, but we’ll see if Hillary’s prez run in 2016 gets derailed. Somehow I’m skeptical.

Inside the body of every card-carrying liberal beats the heart of a potential, totalitarian leftist. Liberals do not love government for nothing. Love of big government is related to sort of an infantile yearning to be ruled by others or a Big Brother-Orwellian kind of supreme leader. Obviously, not all libs think that way, but a very sizable percentage do. It is the childish urge for utopia...a place that is literally nowhere.

One of the huge differences between conservatism and liberalism is that conservatives know failure is a part of life and cannot be avoided for 99% of the population at some point in their lives. Liberals wish to create a world by which failure is impossible. Which is an impossible task in the first place and does a person no good by shielding the person from learning experiences. Like growing up in a perfectly insulated house. But when the person leaves the house, they are much more vulnerable to disease. Which is why I guess many you libs don't want to leave the cocoon.

I wish you were right, but you’re assuming Obama voters know what’s going on in the country or the world, and actually care beyond their own selfish interests. My view is that Dem voters, on average, are the most ignorant people in the country. I’ll bet a very large percentage of them are completely unaware there’s any scandals going on. Plus, many of them who do know probably think it’s a great idea to have the IRS harass conservative groups and even news (dis)services like the AP.

The Pope means well, but he obviously doesn’t understand that the “love of money” or capitalism as he would like to call it, has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system in the world. Yes, “greedy” capitalists have done far more for the poor of the world than all the humanity-loving (and murdering) Marxists whose stated objectives is to help poor people. Instead, Marxism has thrust more people into poverty than any other system.

The guys/friends I knew who worked in factories and were union members were socially worlds apart from your college-type, liberal/leftist jerkwads. Their social views pretty much reflected your basic conservative positions. It mostly came down to they were in closed union shops. Everybody who was not in management belonged to the union. That put the automatically at odds with management who they associated with Republicans. And of course, most of them grew up in Democrat homes with their parents constantly telling them how evil Republicans were. Like my parents.

But it usually came down to money. Most union members thought they were worth more than they actually were. And they thought management was always cheating them out of what they thought were their rightful wage increases. But socially, the great majority were/are law and order types many of whom served in the military.

Like card counting. I've never understood why a customer just using his brain to figure out possible card outcomes can be called cheating. But the casinos throw out customers they suspect of card counting. Just a nasty trick by the casinos to make sure customers don't have any advantage..mechanical or otherwise.

I'll give you a little story about liberal hysteria concerning guns. A few years ago my wife and I stopped at some national monument in western Nebraska near Chimney Rock. As we were perusing the various historical artifacts and stories about the region, I started reading one exhibit concerning settlers and deaths.

The written article was basically a long screed about how dangerous it was for settlers to have guns. It could only have been written by some anti-gun, liberal nut. Of course, there was no mention of the positive uses of firearms by settlers like hunting or self-defense. I was ready to start yelling at the park service employee on duty, but I settled down and just left the building muttering to myself.

What’s that loud noise? It’s the sound of liberal heads exploding. The liberal mantra for as long as I can remember (over fifty years) is that more guns in the hands of private citizens will mean more gun deaths. The facts show otherwise. Like every lib theory, the more guns equals more violence doesn’t stand up to the light of truth.

A few years ago one of the networks did an expose on the possibility of the buildings being exploded by detonation devices and other truther idiocies. What was exploded was all the truther theories. For one thing, there’s no way the teams of explosive experts needed to detonate the building could have managed to enter the buildings and do the necessary work without thousands of people noticing them. That and other disproved screwball truther theories was thrown back in their faces by the show’s producers. The truth didn’t faze the truthers one bit. They stood behind their cockamamie theories to the bitter end.

These things happen more than you would think. I was talking to a friend a few weeks ago who had called me to give his condolences about the death of my father. We talked about my parent's estate settlement which was being supervised by my older brother. The estate will be divided equally between me and my six siblings.

My friend said when his mother died, things were different. One of his youngers sisters visited the mother (who was not totally with it mentally) shortly before she died and got power of attorney changed from my friend to her.. She changed her mother's wishes to distribute the estate equally between my friend and his nine siblings. The younger sister decided to appropriate her mother's entire estate for herself leaving her siblings nothing. The younger sister told her mother that my friend had wished to give her the power of executor...which was a lie. My friend never granted her that power. She wouldn't even allow her siblings to visit their mother's house after she died to check for mementoes. Now the younger sister wonders why none of her siblings will talk to her. She made her bed, she can lie in it said my friend.

I didn't see it when it came out (didn't have the money), but I distinctly remember some kid who saw it describing the flick. I remember being scared just by the thought of the blob sweeping through my town and sucking up everyone and everything in its path. At that age (seven), just thinking about those horror flicks scared the fecal matter out of me. I did see "Rodin" when I was seven. Scared the @@#@ out of me for two years. Then I saw it thirty years later on tv. Laughed all the way through at the cheesy effects.

There probably won’t be any paper trail connecting Fearless Leader to his devoted minions who carried out his wishes. It was probably on the lines of a meeting between Obama and his flunkies where Obama would say something like “ wouldn’t it be just great if these Tea Party @#@#!!$s had their taxes audited and other stuff? I think if some IRS people harassed those Tea Partiers, there might be something extra for them in their paychecks.” And his flunkies took the hint and ran with it.

Islam is a religion that attracts the stupidest people in the world. It’s laws give stupid and violent people (millions of Muslim males) the freedom to indulge in their most perverted fantasies of sex and murder. What other system of “justice” blames and prosecutes (or murders i.e. honor killings) the victim for being assaulted? Muslim countries are the Bizarro worlds of justice.

As long as Obama has control of the media (which he still does despite a few turncoats), he’ll survive any impeachment attempt. Because while the media still supports him, they keep news about Obama’s scandals away from the public. The public at large must be outraged to force impeachment hearings much less convict Barack. If you asked the average Obama voter about the many scandals currently engulfing the Obama admin, I doubt he or she would know what you’re talking about. They’re that dense. Only a media committed to ousting a president, like with Nixon, could generate enough noise to crowbar Barack out of the Oval Office. As it stands, there’s still too few media voices willing to let go of their all-time favorite prez.
