It’s the salt in the brine. You are either low in sodium or more likely potassium
Not to quibble - several neurologists reported a study done to assess the mechanism of action regarding brine drinking and leg cramps.
The onset of cramp relief occurs immediately after the swallow - way too soon for absorption of the electrolytes to do their thing. They suggest that there must be some nervous innervation in the esophagus that is tripped during the brine transit.
All i care about is it does something! These cramps are so painful lately I fear getting into bed and that sucks.
I buy those Magnum Jars of whole pickles at Wal-Mart, remove all the pickles, drain the juice into small jars and keep them in the fridge as RESCUE remedies for nightly battle with leg cramps.
Amazing how just moments after CHUGGING 2 mouthfuls of pickle juice the cramps begin subsiding and I get to sleep a few more hours. No other remedy works like pickle juice. Not 2 quarts of water before bed, not quinine, nuthin.
Sorry to see Ron throw the dice like this - I really admire him and how effective he has been for Florida...
But... he is not going to win the 2024 nomination and is going to lose a lot of blood in this fight. Every day that passes where he does not explicitly declare that he is not running makes the situation worse.
The dems are relishing the typical GOP circular firing squad exercise.
