After listening to pundits reflect upon yesterday's extremely inaccurate early exit polls, it becomes clear that either the AP simply threw science to the wind by sending all women pollers to interview all women voters, or that they tried to affect the election and depress the R vote. I'm quite sorry to have to post this as a vanity, but I think it should be seen.It was just stated on FOX News that all requests for hand recounts must be made within 72 hours. THIS TIME HAS LAPSED.Many of us were hoping that if this hand recount goes forward in Palm Beach Co that Bush could ask for statewide hand recounts. This must become a Republican talking point and sound bite.In every election, ballots are improperly filled out. Some are thrown out, others are not counted by voting machines. This is NORMAL.What Algore is asking for is to CHANGE THE RULES. He is asking for a hand count that would allow them to "correct" the ballots of citizens who did not do fill them out properly. These ballots would not have and SHOULD NOT be counted. To go back and CORRECT the bad ballots is to CHANGE THE COURSE OF THE ELECTION. And of course this is exactly what Gore hopes ...
