TOMBALL, Texas – Talk about bold! And ... not so smart ... because a former Houston area car dealership employee was arrested after allegedly deciding to take a police patrol vehicle out for a joyride, without permission. Not only that, according to law enforcement, the suspect said it was not his first time.

I was asked by a friend what this pistol is. Here is a portion of the letter: "On the side with the selector switch the slide is stamped with "1913 Premier = Patent". Also stamped on the slide is "P.V." and a star, both very small. There are a few more stamps, but they are small and I can't tell what they are. There are matching serial numbers on the slide and frame. The grips are made out of wood. I did not find any markings on the magazine or under the grips. I am starting to think my grandfather...

DALLAS - A man used a frozen armadillo to attack a 57-year old Pleasant Grove woman, Dallas police said. The incident happened on Sept. 29 in an apartment complex parking lot. According to investigators, the altercation occurred when the suspect was selling the carcass to the victim, who planned to eat the animal. The pair apparently began arguing over the price of the item when the man twice threw the armadillo at the woman. The animal first struck the woman in the leg and then in her chest. She was reportedly bruised by the attack. Detectives have been unable to...

A Japanese reporter in Nanjing shows us a vending machine that sells live Shanghai Hairy Crabs:The inside of the machine is kept at 5 degrees celsius, a temperature cold enough to make the crabs go into a state of hibernation. A sign states that all the crabs in the machine are fresh: if the crab is dead-on-arrival, they promise to give you three free crabs. Converted into yen, the prices for the crabs range between 120 and 600 yen (depending on size). By cutting out the cost of store personnel, the seller can offer the crabs at 30% less than...
  • Looking for outrageous quotes by the left about religion

I am doing a short talk in a few days and need a few relatively current outrageous quotes from the left mocking religion and God. My plan is to read some scripture from Judges and Kings about how things went for the Israelites when they did and did not follow God, follow with some of the Founding Fathers quotes, and roll that into the today.
  • Comments on cellular modems?

I am considering buying a cellular modem to use with a laptop. I am soliciting opinions from people who use them or have experience with them as opposed to someone who just wishes to sell me one. In my area, we get digital service. I plan on getting getting a rate plan with 3000 offtime minutes and using this to surf both at home and at work. I live in the sticks with no DSL/cable ect available and the phones quit every time someone spits on the ground. (It got flaky on Sunday, quit yesterday, and they said it will ...

We had just finished supper and the phone rang. For the first time in my life, it was a political poll. It was being conducted by "Issues and Answers." Of course they would not say who had comissioned the poll. It was certainly being conducted by the dims or Republicans. It was not a "push poll" and generally asked about specific current national events and issues. Overall the questions were surprisingly neutral but if I had to assign a bias, my guess is it was being conducted by the dims. Questions asked included what you thought of President Bush so ...
