Obamacare is the biggest regressive tax increase ever perpetrated on working people in this country. Regressive because wealthy people have a small bite taken out of their income compared to working and middle class people. Wealthy people will be able to fly places and get less expensive healthcare than the trapped workers here in the States. Powerful business owners will obtain more profits by shifting the burden of healthcare insurance over to the taxpayers. Regressive because every leftist constituency that has been able: has received a waiver so not to be trapped in this tax. Members of Congress have lobbied...

Just received a change to safe deposit box rules in the mail. I have the scan but do not know how to upload it: Permitted USES: Lessee shall use the safe deposit box for storage only of Lessee's items and for no other purpose and use. Lessee acknowledges that the safe deposit box is not intended to store, by way of example without limitation, such things as domestic or foreign currency, whether paper, coin or other form. Lessee further agrees not toe store any property that is inherently dangerous, malodorous, or destructive in nature. If any such item is stored...
  • Hillsborough deputies track suspect to wooded area near 42nd Street and Amberly Drive in Tampa

Hillsborough deputies said Friday morning they'd tracked an assault and home invasion suspect to a stretch of woods north of 42nd Street and south of Amberly Drive in Tampa. A canine and a witness helped track the suspect into the woods. Officers said deep water in the wooded area is complicating the search, but added dogs can track through that obstacle. "The thing about the water is you've gotta come out somewhere," Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department Spokesman Major J.R. Burton said. ...The DOJ has placed its imprimatur upon a fantasy involving a legendary creature: the person of one sex trapped in the body of a person of another sex... ...We have created a rhetoric of “gender identity” that is disconnected from biological sexual fact, and we have done so largely in the service of enabling the sexual mutilation of physically healthy men and women (significantly more men) by medical authorities who should be barred by professional convention if not by conscience from the removal of healthy organs (and limbs, more on that later), an act that by any reasonable standard ought...

I am planning to move to one of the Christian Healthcare coops that are legal under Obamacare. It is not insurance but all of them have a pretty good reputation of paying the bills. However, since we seem to be ruled by despots these days instead of rational law, there is always the possibility that the government will make these coops illegal and if that is the case, I would be uninsured, and if I am unfortunate, I would owe the medicinal industrial complex a lot of money. The more I look at the Obamacare package and the direction of...

OK, I put on some kid and stess pounds and need to lose it. The Slimfast diet always worked for me but now I am prediabetic and trying to lose metabolic syndrome weight. I need a meal replacer, preferable a powder that works like Slimfast with much less carbs. The ideal? Powder that blends with milk, low carb, medium protein and medium fat. Anyone?

Dozens of lawmakers and aides are so afraid that their health insurance premiums will skyrocket next year thanks to Obamacare that they are thinking about retiring early or just quitting. The fear: Government-subsidized premiums will disappear at the end of the year under a provision in the health care law that nudges aides and lawmakers onto the government health care exchanges, which could make their benefits exorbitantly expensive.

My son has an Xbox and plays with friends who are off-site as well as larger groups. He tells me there is often an Islamic in the larger groups who he and others talk to, and the conversations are about recruitment. They are sort of Islamic missionaries to young men in a pretty open venue. The conversations go private and the Islamics make their pitch. Any one else run into this?

U.S. President Barack Obama gives the commencement address to the graduating class of The Ohio State University at Ohio Stadium on May 5, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. PRESIDENT OBAMA: Unfortunately, you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule...

Alternative rapper Danny Brown is used to performing for crowded clubs, like his sold-out Minneapolis show on Friday (April 26), but he’s answering to a much larger audience in the wake the allegedly X-rated performance. Music fans have taken to social media, demanding answers from the rapper and posting personal accounts of the concert, where the rapper reportedly engaged in oral sex with a fan in the front of the crowd.

It is time for a dishwasher. My last dishwasher was replaced three times by the manufacturer before I ripped it out and started handwashing. time to go back to dishwashers and I cannot find a timed dishwasher, just ones that are ENERGY EFFIEICENT with sensors. The biggest problem I had with the newer untimed dishwashers is that I would have to rinse the dishes instead of scraping them. the second problem is that because I did not rinse them, they ran for six to eight hours becaus there was debris that the sensors picked up. Lousy design. I am looking...

I have an ENV3 cell phone. I love it as antiquated as it is. However I find I can no longer send picutres to my friends with smartphones and they sometimes cannot send me texts. Sometimes their texts come through as letter trains of squares. Is this normal between phones as the technology improves or do I need a new ENV3? I really like the level of tech I have with my current phone. I really like to text the kids. I like to occasionally like to send a picture out. And nothing beats this technology for actually being able...
  • After weight-loss surgery, new gut bacteria keep obesity away

The logic behind weight-loss surgery seems simple: rearrange the digestive tract so the stomach can hold less food and the food bypasses part of the small intestine, allowing fewer of a meal's calories to be absorbed. Bye-bye, obesity. A study of lab mice, published on Wednesday, begs to differ. It concludes that one of the most common and effective forms of bariatric surgery, called Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, melts away pounds not - or not only - by re-routing the digestive tract, as long thought, but by changing the bacteria in the gut. Or, in non-scientific terms, the surgery somehow replaces...
