And King really didn’t create or strategize the main events of the civil rights movement. That was a guy by the name of James Bevel (see my http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2853189/posts FR thread here), who was also a womanizing minister, but in his case it was with his own daughter. But yes, both King and Bevel were Christian ministers who had a deep abiding trust in their faith, and used it extensively in their movement. For the statue (who is that white man?) to leave off any mention of Christianity is a bald-face attempt to erase the inner-core of Dr. King’s writings.

I’m getting peeved about this story. The community was being literally attacked by home break-ins being done by blacks. Old news is bad news. Alex Jones has been yelling about this for years, that there are listening devices in not only all new TV’s but in all the fairly new cable boxes (our cable guy practically stole one of the old boxes a year ago which, according to Jones, doesn’t have the remote device). Thanks for the thread. I never met him, either in person or online, and he was one of those people who I thought “I’d like to meet him someday.” Better sometime than never. I hope his funeral is well attended by the best and brightest of the conservative world, and maybe one or all of the GOP presidential candidates could attend.

His legacy demands that the tapes he was going to release be released, with balloons and skyrockets and all the voice people can give them. His death is such a major loss that others must come along and fill the void and go on with his unfinished work.
