The 11 foot 8 Bridge, also known as the Norfolk Southern–Gregson Street Overpass, located in Durham, North Carolina, United States, has attracted international media attention, including front-page coverage in The Wall Street Journal,[1] because it frequently tears the roofs off of trucks as they pass under the bridge. The media has focused on video clips of the crashes, which are posted on the Internet for public viewing.[2] This railroad overpass along South Gregson Street in Durham, North Carolina, provides only 11 feet 8 inches (3.56 m) of vertical clearance.[3] The 76-year-old bridge cannot be raised, because nearby railroad crossings would...

Briefly, because I’m trying to get some work done instead expending energy on this horrific, disgusting election cycle… In last night’s debate Clinton stated that “17 intelligence agencies have confirmed that Russia is behind the email hacks” which were then turned over to Wikileaks. As I demonstrated in yesterday’s article, How Bloomberg Spun its Own Poll Data to Make Hillary Clinton Seem Inevitable, the media is intentionally spinning poll results at best, and completely fabricating them at worst. While that’s bad enough, there are also some deep, fundamental problems which plague any attempts to conduct accurate polling in 2016. Cliff Zukin, professor of public policy and political science at Rutgers University and a past president of the American Association for Public Opinion Research, wrote about many of these issues in a 2015 New York Times opinion piece titled, What’s the Matter With Polling?

Today Hillary Clinton remains campaigning in Pennsylvania. Yesterday Vice President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton campaigned in Scranton, a few hundred people showed up. Today, Hillary held a voter registration campaign event in a High School gym in West Philadelphia – the attendance/turnout was essentially the same. What’s going on? Where are all these Clinton supporters the national media keep polling and talking about? The answers are really quite simple. They’re in the same place they were during the 2016 Democrat primary race.

The beating nearly killed Sumner and it drew a sharply polarized response from the American public on the subject of the expansion of slavery in the United States. It has been considered symbolic of the "breakdown of reasoned discourse"[1] that eventually led to the American Civil War.

In fact, Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Trump makes sense, and fits both her politics and her personality.
