Well, these videos certainly are igniting the fire within me. How broken and out-of-control can our “government” get? Apparently, the elite have forgotten (or more likely, have never known) about the meaning of the First Amendment to our Constitution, where it clearly states:

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs. etc...

The 2008 financial crisis and subsequent bailout might have more to do with financial jihad and Shari’ah Financing than Americans would ever imagine or dare to suggest, and the 2009 Stimulus Plan may be a plan to keep American’s in dhimmitude for generations. Though it sounds very poignant, it is a possibility that should be explored because questions are still unanswered and Americans are still confused and bewildered over the astronomical amounts of money that they will owe for generations. This chapter takes the liberty of thinking outside the facade of unsatisfactory explanations that have been given.

On Thursday, in an effort to convince Pakistan to raise taxes on its impoverished masses, Secretary of State Clinton told government officials the United States enforces confiscatory taxation on the American people. Clinton told senior Pakistani newspaper editors in Lahore, “The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world. We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she proudly proclaimed. Hillary Clinton Proclaims “We Tax Everything in the USA”

The American people have spoken. They oppose government-run health care. Republicans are on the side of the American people. What Americans want are common-sense, responsible solutions that address the rising cost of health care and other major problems. In the national Republican address on Saturday, October 31, 2009, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) discussed RepublicansÂ’ plan for common-sense health care reform our nation can afford. BoehnerÂ’s address emphasized four common-sense reforms that will lower health care costs and expand access to quality care without a government takeover of our nationÂ’s health care system that kills jobs, raises taxes on...

Source: Trade and TaxesRaymond L. Richman The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis issued a misleading report when it announced October 29, 2009, that annualized Gross Domestic Product, measured in 2005 prices, increased 3.5 percent from the 2nd quarter 2009 to the 3rd Quarter of 2009. The fact is that annualized GDP in the 3rd quarter was $13,014 billion compared with $12,901 in the 2nd quarter , an increase of 0.872, less than one percent. The number, 3˝ , asserted by the BEA was obtained by multiplying 0.872 by 4, in other words by extrapolating the rate of increase in the...

I want to personally thank Republican Dede Scozzafava for acting so selflessly today in the NY District 23 race. Now it's time to cross the finish line with Doug Hoffman so that he can get to work for District 23 and the rest of America. With Congress poised to overhaul one-sixth of our economy with so-called health care “reform” (which is really a government takeover of health care) and with plans to enact a cap-and-tax bill just as our economy struggles to recover, Doug Hoffman will be a voice for fiscal responsibility and common sense in Washington. We need candidates...

Despite what candidate Chris Daggett is claiming, I have never contacted him or his campaign. I have never asked him to drop out of the NJ Governor’s race. Now, if a politician is going to play loose with facts like this, the electorate needs to know it. So, to the good people of New Jersey, please know that Daggett’s claims are false. I’ve never even suggested he should drop out of the race. But, come to think of it… - Sarah Palin

It is high time Brad Paisley and Tim McGraw were taken to task for their support of Barrack Husein Obama. I first must admit that I have been a fan of Brad and Tim for a long time. I love the way they put to tune and words of how it is to be a man is in the world. After all, how can you not enjoy listening to the way Brad strings together the words in his song titled, “I'm Still A guy”, or how he seems to lay his heart out in the tune titled, “I'm Gonna Miss...

Every president will blame the past one, either directly or indirectly (using media commentators or spokesmen.) And many times it is valid to do that. Most Americans agreed that G.W. Bush could not be (entirely) responsible for the successful Sept 11, 2001 attacks or the 2001 market crash. Much of what he had to work with his first nine months was left over from the Clinton administration. But liberals (progressives) to this day still say that the "September 11, 2001 attacks were on Bush's Watch" after only nine months in office and that Bush was left a booming economy by...

Recent disclosure that the so-called “cash for clunkers” government program that paid new car buyers up to $4500 each for the trade-in of qualifying vehicles actually cost taxpayers an average of over $24,000 per trade-in due to government “red tape,” prompted a scathing response on the whitehouse.gov web site. “Quibbling over the cost to taxpayers is both untimely and unseemly,” wrote an anonymous White House staffer. “The important objective is to pump money into the economy. It wouldn’t have mattered if we simply threw currency from the windows of a moving car. In this case, the government employees who processed...

It's no wonder why they don't read their own bills! I guarantee you that someone of Pelosi's non-existent intellect hasn't read it, which begs the question: Who actually writes these things? For those of us who have a life, below is a "reader's guide" or breakdown of some of the key elements of Pelosi's bill:

Obama Touts Good Economic News, Yet Warns More Job Loss to Come October 31, 2009 ABC News' Jordyn Phelps and Sunlen Miller report: President Obama touted good news in the economic recovery in his weekly address, pointing to Thursday’s report that GDP has grown for the first time in over a year and credited his administration in helping to bring about a conclusion to the current economic recession. “We can see clearly now that the steps my administration is taking are making a difference, blunting the worst of this recession and helping to bring about its conclusion,” the president said...

I have been job-hunting for some time now and applying for jobs online. I applied for one job in particular which is an office job and received the following email in response to my application and resume: "I have reviewed your resume and I am very interested in hiring you. Before I can setup an appointment, I would need your recent credit score. Your credit score is required because the position you applied for includes handling company cash and using a company credit card. Don't worry, if your score is low for a legitimate reason, you will have an opportunity...

Oh boy: (h/t Doug Ross) The [Fannie Mae] "seriously delinquent" rate has gone parabolic, increasing by roughly 5% sequentially and just under 300% YoY [year-over-year]. As mere text will simply not do this metric justice, please enjoy this chart of the dataset from Blytic. It tells you all you need to know about the Fed's containment of the housing problem. The August seriously delinquent single-family number comprised of a 2.87% non-credit enhanced delinquencies and a very bothersome 11.52%, consisting of credit enhanced loans ~~~ The deterioration of FNM's book however did not stop it from increasing the size of its...

(T)he Chinese are concerned about the viability of the American economic system and about the long-term value of their more than $1 trillion of investments in American bonds. They are also dependent on the market even a recession-mired America offers, with exports to the United States still near $300 billion a year. Americans are worried about the effect of lower-cost Chinese labor on U.S. jobs, even though most of the lost jobs were lost long ago and have as much to do with the corrosive effects of technology on labor as they do with cheap production in China. Meanwhile, China...

VIDEO: Delivering the weekly Republican address, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) outlined Republicans’ plan to make health care more accessible and affordable for American families at a price our nation can afford. The address highlights the differences between Republicans’ smart, fiscally responsible reforms and Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) 1,990-page government takeover of health care.

Not even the NYT can avoid reporting that on the last trading day in October, the Dow Jones dropped like it was pole-axed, completely erasing yesterday's 2% gain, while other financial indexes posted a monthly loss for the first time in 7 months. Consumers still seem skittish despite news the Economy grew by 3.5% in the 3rd quarter. How can we grow like that and still have major issues with the Economy?

So you don’t care because you’re not a fisherman and live in Cleveland? Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who wrote the quote below, was not a Jew either. He murdered none the less by order of the German government in 1945. Get the point???? It is a long way from banning fishing and ruining a local economy to state sanctioned murder but... a lethal virus, unchecked, will afflict all eventually “First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so...

This morning, House Democrats held a press conference to unveil their health care reform bill, which they claim will expand coverage for all and decrease costs. Sounds good, but once you peel away the “feel good” rhetoric, there’s nothing to be excited about. This 2,000-page bill includes a job-killing employer mandate, an individual mandate that requires Washington bureaucrats to define what kind of coverage is acceptable, burdensome tax increases, Medicare cuts, and a huge expansion of Medicaid that will break already strained state budgets.

Federal income tax rates would have to be nearly tripled across the income spectrum if Congress were to close the deficit in fiscal year 2010, according to a new report from the nonpartisan Tax Foundation. Instead of taxing joint filers with rates ranging from 10 percent to 35 percent, tax rates would have to start at 27.2 percent and reach up to 95.2 percent.

War, oil shortages, global warming, nuclear bombs, and economic collapse... All of it seems unlikely, but don't you want to be prepared? If you have to jump on a plane (or a boat or a train or a hot air balloon) and head for safety, you want to know where in the world you should go.

Tim Geithner should be given the option to resign immediately, or be fired. He is either incompetent, too conflicted to do his job with the banks properly, or possibly both. Stephen Friedman should be investigated for $5.4 million in profits made through potential insider trading. His breach of fiduciary responsibility as chairman of the NY Fed is shocking...

Mark my words - tomorrow is the game changer! Tune in to hear common sense solutions that bury the false accusations that conscientious members of Congress have no solutions to meet America's health care challenges. If you're like me, shaking your head wondering why all the miscommunication between Washington and the American people who have been saying, "Please hear what we're saying about our desire for health care reform," then tomorrow will be a refreshing time of clarity for all. All Americans, and especially colleagues of House Republican Leader John Boehner: please listen to tomorrow's weekly GOP national address. Rep....

I live in a rural farm area in Southwest Ohio. Earlier this year an underground limestone mine went into operation 1.2 miles down the road. All of the residents were told that we would not notice the blasting since it would be hundreds of feet below the surface. This has not been the case as hear the blasts and feel some of them through the floor in my home. The mine plant manager has been very nice thus far and offered to pay for a seismic study however my fear is that it will only show that they are within...

How long before we hear from Team Lightbringer that CBS isn't really a credible news organization? The latest bedtime story from the Obama administration was released today and, darn it, they just can't bring themselves to tell the truth. "Jobs saved" is no more measurable than "hugs hoped for" but when you have the smartest president in the history of EVER he's probably privy to some super-secret genius metrics that we Earth-bound beings couldn't handle. We're moving into new territory here. The formerly unquestioning MSM is showing signs of realizing that they might still need work one day after Barack...

President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and all the other left-wing wannabe socialists in D.C. have told us time and again that Health Care, and the socialization thereof, is the number one issue in America. Problem is you don’t agree. Not even close. In November of 2008, 64% of you said, “It’s the economy stupid.” A mere 5% of you went to the polls in 2008 to cast your vote for “Hope and Change” in regards to Health Care. Today, despite all the infomercials and Mr. Obama’s Network Tour-de-farce on national television (for which he’s probably been nominated for an...

Every so often, Americans get fed up with prosperity and personal freedom and naturally turn to liberals to lead us out of liberty. Liberals can always be counted on to relieve us of the burdens brought on by having too much control over our own lives and too much disposable income. America has made several suicide attempts in her history; none as serious as the cry for help on November 4th 2008 when America chose self immolation spurred on by unrepentant Nazi collaborator George Soros. As dramatic as the Soros-Obama presidency has been, we’ve been trying to kill ourselves by...

Consumer Spending is Down Proving my Point on the Elusive Recovery http://www.wiseandfrugalgovernment.blogspot.com/ “Nothing sways the stupid more than arguments they can't understand” Cardinal de Retz Yesterday, the politicians were falling all over themselves to claim credit for the third quarter GDP growth of 3.5%, claiming the growth was proof the Administration's stimulus plan had worked. The President claimed,“the steps we’ve taken have made a difference.” Whoa there Big Fella. As I reminded yesterday, the GDP growth was fueled by the Cash for Clunkers program which was borrowing demand from the future as consumers scrambled to make auto purchases before the...

Companies in hock to Washington now have the equivalent of 535 new board members -- 100 U.S. senators and 435 House members. Since the financial crisis broke, Congress has been acting like the board of USA Inc., invoking the infusion of taxpayer money to get banks to modify loans to constituents and to give more help to those in danger of foreclosure. Members have berated CEOs for their business practices and pushed for caps on executive pay. They have also pushed GM and Chrysler to reverse core decisions designed to cut costs, such as closing facilities and shuttering dealerships.

The international movement to provide the United Nations (UN) with unprecedented power and influence over world affairs has found a seemingly innocuous, but deceptive train to ride. The North American perception of this world body founded in 1945 has become that of a vast, but vapid and corrupt organization. The UN “Climate Change” train will change that impression, but not for the better. With support from the Obama administration, the path ahead will place the UN on a track toward receiving an irreversible influence over our lives. The continuing corruption will render untold dividends for the corrupt and morally repugnant....

The Federal Reserve Banking System has been around almost one hundred years. It has never been audited. The Fed answers to no one. The Fed has loaned over twelve trillion dollars of taxpayer money, our money. To whom? Only the Fed knows. Recently the chairman of the Fed, Ben Bernanke, was called before Congress and when asked who received loans and bailout money, he told Congress it was none of their business.

It’s no secret that Harry Reid is in trouble in Nevada. The Senate Majority Leader’s approval ratings in his home state of Nevada is lower than Rush Limbaugh's at a Move-on convention. been in the dumps. A poll conducted two week ago showed Reid with an anemic 38 percent approval rating, down more than 15 points since he won re-election back in 2004. But Reid’s falling popularity with Nevada voters isn’t the only thing that has Dems worried. The last two Mason Dixon polls in the state have found Reid losing against two potential GOP challengers: businessman Danny Tarkanian, who...

Washington, DC -- It's alive. The Medicare end-of-life planning provision that Governor Sarah Palin said was tantamount to "death panels" for seniors is staying in the latest Democratic health care bill unveiled Thursday. Recently, the DNC went on the offensive not only claiming The Governor is lying but communicated to it’s supporters to attack Sarah Palin on Facebook. The DNC executive director Jen O'Malley Dillon communicated via e-mail insisting private citizen Sarah Palin has been lying and should he harassed. The provision allows Medicare to pay for voluntary counseling to help beneficiaries deal with the complex and painful decisions families...

The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday a U.S. House health-care system re-write would extend health insurance to 96% of the nonelderly U.S. population by 2019, and spend $1.055 trillion to do so. Penalties imposed on individuals who did not purchase insurance, and employers who did not offer coverage to their workers, would raise $161 billion over that time-frame. That brings the net cost of the bill to $894 billion through 2019, CBO said.

Is the mainstream media's love affair with the Obama administration on shaky ground?

This made my day (oh and the DJIA was up 199.89). But the Dow will go down again, the trend in newspaper readership is delightfully steady. Every six months, the Audit Bureau of Circulations releases data about newspapers and how many people subscribe to them. And then everyone writes a story about how some newspapers declined some amount over the year previous. Well, that's no way to look at data! It's confusing—and it obscures larger trends. So we've taken chunks of data for the major newspapers, going back to 1990, and graphed it, so you can see what's actually happened...

The Tea Party Movement bubbled up in the United States of America as a result of the fear we felt that when we thought we had lost what we deemed most precious to us – our freedom and liberty. Just nine months ago, many of us were concerned that we had waited too long to get involved in the body politic of the United States. Nevertheless, some of us decided to stand by no more, regardless of how hopeless the task seemed to be as we saw the first few months of the Obama Administration unfold. Be honest, we thought...

Brent Rooney: Superfreakenomics Co-Author Should Leave Medical Matters Alone Steven D. Levitt's LAUGH-IN / Freakonomics Fried by Brent Rooney (MSc) * On Oct. 2009, Univ. of Chicago Prof. Steven D. Levitt debuted Superfreakonomics as a sequel to his best-selling book Freakonomics 2005). Perhaps Levitt is correct about Global Cooling, in his 2009 book, but nothing Levitt writes about medical matters can be believed. If a young Milton Friedman (PhD, Nobel Prize winner) had opined that “strong increased consumer demand for IPODs or Ivory Soap leads to DECREASED prices”, the loud guffaws would have shattered ears and the business press would...

On March 12th of this year, the SHMOTUS. Joe Biden, told the American People that he was going to protect them from stupid uses of the $787 billion dollar stimulus money: So if this -- six months from now, if the verdict on this effort is that we've wasted the money, we built things that were unnecessary, or we've done things that are legal but make no sense, then, folks, don't look for any help from the federal government for a long while. They're going to make sure -- the folks in the House and in the Senate are going to...

Give 'em an inch... Montana Rep. Denny Rehberg was no fan of the $58 billion federal rescue of General Motors Co., saying he worried taxpayer money would be wasted and the restructuring process would be vulnerable to "political pressure." Now the lawmaker says it's his "patriotic duty" to wade into GM's affairs. And he's a Republican. My problems are rarely ever with the nature of the Democrats' Hype du Jour, they generally have to do with the doomsday caterwauling and that every solution ends with the heavy hand of the federal government shoving its fingers in places I don't want...

Members of Congress and the American people are just beginning to look at Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) 1,990-page government takeover of health care, but it’s already becoming clear just how costly and unsustainable this proposal is. From higher taxes on middle-class families to job-killing mandates on small businesses to cuts in Medicare benefits for seniors, here are 10 facts every American should know about Speaker Pelosi’s 1,990-page government takeover of health care:

I recently attended the Evergreen Leadership Conference in very liberal (at least the "Left" part of the State) Washington State. One of the speakers succinctly and accurately summarized the real war happening on America's political landscape. It struck me that those of us on the Right have not clearly understood, or been able to articulate the real conflict between the Right and the Left. However, the Left, clearly understands the war and their mission that they're fighting, which is: TAXPAYERS VS. TAXTAKERS!

What a bunch of Commie scum-bags. The DNC is actually asking supporters to attack private citizen Sarah Palin on Facebook. My suggestion is to join Sarah Palin on Facebook and get her to a million supporters. She is presently at 952,744. I posted part of the e-mail sent by the DNC DNC executive director Jen O'Malley Dillon sent: Subject: Sarah Palin Lies Friend -- A lot of folks use Facebook to stay in touch with friends and family. For Sarah Palin, it's a great way to spread lies about health insurance reform. A few months back, Palin took to Facebook...
