Texas' controversial voter identification law will remain in effect, possibly through November's elections, after the Supreme Court on Friday denied an emergency request from a coalition of Latino advocacy groups and Democratic lawmakers who say the measure is discriminatory. A new poll released on Thursday found Donald Trump with a big lead in Oregon, a state not necessarily expected to be favorable to the Manhattan billionaire. COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of anti-Trump protesters clashed with drivers and police Thursday evening in Costa Mesa. Trump was speaking to thousands at a rally at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The group gathered just outside held signs and Mexican and American flags to protest the controversial GOP presidential front-runner. The protest group spilled out into the streets and blocked traffic in several intersections. Stu Mundel reported overhead in Sky 9. The group of protesters was described as “very large and very aggressive.”

White powder found in Trump Tower mailroom; 6 being evaluated NEW YORK (WABC) -- The FDNY, EMS, and NYPD were called to Trump Tower in Manhattan after a suspicious white powder was found. A new poll of Republican voters in Oregon finds that Donald Trump has a double-digit lead in the state’s May 17 primary, while Ted Cruz is second despite pulling out of the state.
