Are you as arrogant in person? Is it your impression that evreything ill in society is because people like to get high (drunk, laid, party in the streets)? Do you play god in real life, or just here on FreeRepublic?
You said: "We can either abide by Gods laws, or by mans. Man gave us drag queens marching in the street demanding special rights; Kill your unborn baby here! clinics; drug and alcohol abuse, mass murder in godless totalitarian countries, in other words: misery and despair. It sounds like your mans laws arent working too well."
Paul had much to say on the subject. There are lots of ways it is interpreted, but the reading is pretty clear...
Romans 3: 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
Righteousness Through Faith
21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished 26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. ...

As I watched a staggering drunk woman returning to a hotel from a Seattle Seahawks game NOSEDIVE into the floor in front of her, my comment to her was: “It’s a good thing they ended prohibition isn’t it?”
As we rapidly stray from our Judeo-Christian principles, alcohol abuse is on the rise.
I’m all for returning to certain measures that “might” make a difference:
No alcohol sales on Sunday.
Bring back “drunkeness in public” ordinances.
Quit laughing and glorying poor behavior (”Look how wasted Joe is, let’s take a video and laugh about it on Youtube!”)
We’ve become a self indulgent society, the days of decency very well might be gone.
We have laws against suicide because our society values (or at least once did) human life.
Laws against drug abuse aren’t only because we value the individual that is harming himself, but because drug abusers harm the people around them, and society in general.
Immoral acts are “dangerous” because of the consequences that go along with them.
