One visit from Hillary Clinton and it's all gone! Four different recorded events involving the name of Barack Obama taking place in the then British Protectorate of East Africa have surfaced in British National Archives. Details of the years between 1953 to 1963 were logged into the Kew branch of Britain’s public records office according to a communique dated July 18, 2012, authored by Dan Crosby. “A record of birth of a second son (of Barack Obama, Sr.) is significant because biographical information about Obama’s family indicates Obama, Sr., fathered only one other son prior to Obama II’s birth,” says...

This might have happened recently or it might just be the "Frog in a pot of boiling water" effect, but the recent controversy around Chick Fil A and gay marriage made me notice how that debate fits into a bigger picture. I've read articles, seen blog posts, and seen tons of electrons spilled on Facebook1 over the Chick Fil A / Gay Marriage issue. I've noticed that a great deal of the leftist sentiment often uses carefully crafted language to define their opponents' positions - "against gay rights", "anti-gay", or my personal favorite, "Extreme anti-gay". Aside from my referring to...

In one of his speeches titled "What is Progress?", Woodrow Wilson said the following: Some citizens of this country have never got beyond the Declaration of Independence, signed in Philadelphia, July 4th, 1776. Their bosoms swell against George III, but they have no consciousness of the war for freedom that is going on today. The Declaration of Independence did not mention the questions of our day. It is of no consequence to us unless we can translate its general terms into examples of the present day and substitute them in some vital way for the examples it itself gives, so...

Five-and-a-half million textbooks destined for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders in Ethiopia are being provided through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which today revealed that it awarded a $5.9 million contract to a South African company for the material. Kadimah Education, an affiliate of the Cape Town-based Kadimah Trading Corporation, within 90 days must deliver the books -- whose covers and inside jackets are to be adorned with the Ethiopian flag as well as the logos of USAID and AAMU (Alabama A&M University). AAMU in 2009 received a separate $13 million grant for an Ethiopian literacy project, which...

I am a complete novice to posting a vanity so please forgive me for any and all mistakes. Veteran IDDs (Improvised Explosive Device Dogs) have served our Country and Marine Corps honorably. Due to the reduction in forces in Afghanistan, many of these wonderful dogs are eligible for retirement and adoption. The majority of the dogs are 3-7 year old pure breed Labrador Retrievers that are black, yellow, or chocolate. Spaying and neutering has already been done. They are highly trained, healthy, happy, and will make terrific pets or hunting buddies. The adoption process is not quick but the dog's...

Feigning indignity, outrage and remorse, the Obama Administration quietly watched from the sidelines as a Hezbollah commander, guilty of planning the murder of five U.S. Marines, was set free on July 30th by the Iraqi central criminal court. In January of 2007, a dozen or more terrorists dressed in U.S. uniforms opened fire on a military camp in Karbala, just south of Baghdad. One soldier died at the scene and four others were kidnapped, tortured and murdered by the terrorists. The mastermind of this complex attack was Ali Mussa Daqduq, a Lebanese national taken by U.S. forces in Basra just...

VIDEO 3:56 minutes NLPC Associate Fellow Mark Modica was interviewed by Gerri Willis on the Fox Business Network on August 6. Here's a transcript: Gerri Willis: Moving on to a story, I know you are going to love. "In Focus Tonight," the Chevy Volt village. An entire town dedicated to the controversial taxpayer backed car that so happens to spontaneously combust in flames. The government is teaming up with the private sector to test out its green agenda by dumping these Chevy Volts on an entire community. And did I mention you are helping to pay for this? Joining me...

Analyst reports released in the last two days show Windows Phone sales surging between 115% and 227% compared to a year ago. Does this mean Windows Phone is finally gaining traction, or is it just a blip on the radar? IDC reports that in the second quarter of this year, Windows Phone sales jumped by 115% compared to a year ago, to 5.4 million units, and a 3.5% market share. IDC also notes that Windows Phone "narrowed the gap between itself and BlackBerry last quarter in its bid to become the number 3 mobile OS in terms of market share."...

Voters in Michigan's 11th Congressional District Republican primary have a lot of sorting out to do. Kerry Bentivolio, the only candidate whose name is on the Aug. 7 ballot, is accused of being so extreme that some Republicans who have previously been labeled as far right themselves are worried about how he'd represent the district. Some of those with that opinion are supporting a write-in campaign for former State Senator Nancy Cassis. One of the Cassis supporters is Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson. "I went to his (Bentivolio's) website and found that he was very extreme on several issues....

Romney is stuck at dead center in the Opinion Polls. In order to move the Romney poll needle in a positive direction, why not encourage timid Mitty Romney to SEAL his Federal and State Tax Records when he announces who his Veep will be? In this way Romney would be calling Obama's Bluff, something that Obama has warned others not to do. The Veep announcement and the Sealing of Romney's tax records would give The Media a double surprise at a time of maximum Media audience. Sunday talk shows would then be forced to talk about Obama's sealed School and...

Wow! Look at all those Julias and Julians who have already donated to our campaign chest! And still – all those composites only add up to one Sheldon Adelson (currently being investigated by Ricky’s DOJ – no connection, just a coincidence). Don’t worry though. Team Obama’s campaign manager is totally copasetic with Team Romney out-raising them on the campaign trail these last few months (possibly due to the $300 million head start)... ... Anyway, with that kind of money we should be able to make up a few more felonies to pin onto Mitt’s wrap sheet before November 6. That...

.... Stories abound of big donors who stopped giving as much or working as hard because Obama never reached out, either with a Clinton-esque warm bath of attention or Romney-esque weekend love fests and Israeli-style jaunts; of celebrities who gave concerts for his campaigns and never received thank-you notes or even his full attention during the performance; of public servants upset because they knocked themselves out at the president’s request and never got a pat on the back; of V.I.P.’s disappointed to get pictures of themselves with the president with the customary signature withheld; of politicians disaffected by the president’s...

Gay/Lesbian community is blaming both FoxNews and Mike Huckabee for their failure. That is documented in stories by the New York Daily News and Los Angeles Times. Of course, people may have been confused by the wording of the day: it was billed as Marriage Equality day. To the average person, what does Marriage Equality mean? Sounds like Double Speak. Facebook is one source for this story. National Marriage [promoted by Gays/Lesbians] Equality Day Another is the Los Angeles Times. New York Daily News is another: Gay marriage battle moves from Chick-fil-A to Starbucks as supporters plan ‘National Marriage Equality...

Now that we have a president who was brave enough to stand up for marriage equality (same-sex marriage) we have turned the corner. Being the first (half) African-American President he understands oppression first hand from his years at Harvard Law (he read all about it there) and so he empathizes with the Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transvestite (LGBT ) community and he has taken a bold, brave and historic stand for them in this election year. But I think his actions have not gone far enough. Marriage itself is a primitive tribalistic ritual created by men to dominate women and more-so to make LGBTs,...

Presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney has pulled ahead to a rather stunning 5-point lead over President Barack Obama in the swing state of Colorado, according to a new Quinnipiac/CBS/New York Times poll. The poll comes as Obama heads to Colorado on Wednesday to hold two campaign events. It suggests he has some work to do to convince voters that he should be re-elected. And the most glaring evidence of that is this damning number: 51 percent of Colorado voters think his economic policies will never improve the economy. That means there's little hope that Obama will ever turn around the...

How much of an effect do high gasoline prices have upon the rate of layoffs in the U.S. economy? Today, following the initial confirmation of our hypothesis that they do have a significant effect as measured by the number of new jobless claims filed every week, we're going to attempt to quantify how big an impact that high gasoline prices has upon the employee retention decisions of U.S. employers. We define "high gasoline prices" as being when the national average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the United States rises above $3.50 per gallon, in terms...

Obama has signed an executive order entitled “White House Initiative On Educational Excellence,” which qualifies as deceitful a name as a politician has ever invented. It should be called, “Affirmative Action in School Discipline.” What this literally means for all of us is that discipline in schools will no longer be based on the content your character, but on the color of your skin.

The Michigan Economic Development Corp. has awarded millions of dollars in grants, loans and tax breaks under claims that such efforts will grow economic development, job creation and private investment, but the trend of failing to meet expectations exists instead. The MEDC oversees the 21st Century Jobs Fund. In a 2008 press release, then-Gov. Jennifer Granholm said, “The 21st Century Jobs Fund is the cornerstone of the most comprehensive and aggressive strategy in the nation to transform our economy, grow new high-tech companies and create good-paying jobs for our citizens.” Programs of the 21st Century Jobs Fund have not lived...

The Muslim Middle East has three types of governments. Military, Tribal and Ideological. A military government is formed when senior officers take power. A tribal government is based around a group of prominent families. An ideological government is based around a party, whether secular or Islamist. All these governments are tyrannies, though they may occasionally hold elections, they never open up the system. The elections serve as a means for passing from one tyranny to the next. While these types of governments are different in some ways, they are not exclusive. Most overlap in a number of ways. Military and...

Just when we thought the smear campaign against Mitt Romney could get no worse, it does. I am almost at a loss for words to describe the lies that are now being told about Mitt Romney. Ridiculous and despicable are the only terms that really come close. First, we have Harry Reid and his lies about having a source who told him Mitt Romney didn't pay taxes for 10 years. Reid says it is up to Romney to prove the allegation false. That was bad enough. Now we have Priorities USA, a Super Pac supporting Barack Obama, publishing an ad...

People should protest the showing of the movie "The Campaign" by staying away from the theater complexes that show it. Promos indicate the movie contains a totally unacceptable scene in which a man apparently hits a baby. In the scene one man is shown starting to punch another man. The second man ducks resulting in the first man apparently hitting a baby in the face. The movie is being promoted as a comedy but there is no way an adult hitting a baby can be considered funny by any normal person. The movie doesn't show the punch actually hitting the...

One day a 4th-grade teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up: fireman, mechanic, businessman, salesman, etc. However, little Justin was being uncharacteristically quiet, so when the teacher prodded him about his father, he replied: 'My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off all his clothes to music in front of other men and they put money in his underwear. Sometimes -if the offer is really good- he will go home with some guy and stay with him all night for money.' The teacher, obviously shaken...

Arab media is reporting a claim that the Free Syrian Army killed a Russian General and his translator in Syria. According to the rebels, General Vladimir Kojaiv was assisting the Syrian regime. This included what the rebels described as "humanitarian crimes." Russia is believed to have hundreds of troops and advisors still in Syria. Russia also operates its naval base at Tartus, the only Russian base outside of its borders. Russia also docked weapons for the regime in the port since the uprising began.

One of the real surprises of the past several years is just how well Russia has fared in comparison with the European Union. Whereas, at the start of the financial crisis in 2008-09, Russia’s economy came screeching to a halt and suffered a dramatic fall in output, since 2010 Russia’s has been growing at a steady 4% clip and has fully recovered and surpassed its pre-crisis peak. Russia’s growth rate is decidedly lower than before the crisis but, all things considered, it’s respectable. Although their initial declines in output were much less severe than Russia’s almost 8% plunge, Eurozone economies...

It only took a matter of hours to determine that a $20 million ad campaign from the pro-Obama Priorities USA PAC, which shows Joe Soptic, a former GST Steel (GS) worker and Obama supporter blaming Mitt Romney and Bain Capital for his wife's death from cancer, is complete and total fraud. It wasn't difficult and timelines certainly don't lie. Here's the real story.

Via Judicial Watch (Washington DC)-– Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained records from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) indicating that the General Services Administration (GSA), with the blessing of the Obama White House, instructed law enforcement officers to “stand down” and not arrest “Occupy Portland” protestors who were in violation of the law. The records, obtained pursuant to a November 11, 2011, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, include internal DHS correspondence. One November 6, 2011, e-mail exchange between DHS/National Protection and Programs Directorate Chief of Staff Caitlin Durkovich and GSA Public Buildings Service Commissioner Robert Peck...

As a follow-up to Obamacare, insurance exchanges are being set up in 13 different states. The exchanges are developed as a means for people to shop for coverage when they do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid and do not have coverage through their job. States have been grappling with what to call the insurance exchanges because many consumers either do not find the language attractive or do not understand what it means. In practice, consumers would go online and find private insurance options that meet federal coverage standards and low-income Americans could apply for tax subsidies to cover the...

What’s the difference between a Conservative Republican and a Moderate Republican? Via Central Standard Times - Remaking the GOP - here’s as good a definition as I have yet run across. In recent years the difference between a moderate Republican and a conservative one was defined in Kansas by the social issues, with the former taking a far more permissive stand than the latter on abortion and the currently respectable vices, but this year the most important distinction is about economics. The moderates are fond of an economic development policy heavy on tax abatements, subsidies, public-private partnerships, and similar crony...

It must be difficult to be a member of the Tea Party, having to balance the desire for more rights for everyone — including corporations — with less government to enforce those rights. A recent Heritage Foundation event featuring Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), highlights the movement’s dichotomy. (Watch it in its entirety in the video below). Here’s where the Tea Party — or Paul, at least — gets it right and wrong on technology policy. On copyright Paul seems to understand the problems surrounding copyright enforcement online, right down to his reasons for opposing SOPA. It wasn’t so much what...

he GOP is slowly releasing the names of speakers for the upcoming convention in Tampa. Today it was announced that former presidential candidate Rick Santorum would address the delegates. Among the other confirmed speakers is former Republican Party presidential candidate U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ). As the Republican Party prepares to challenge an incumbent President in November, it needs to have total unity in its ranks. One good way to solidify support from conservatives and Tea Party activists who are lukewarm toward presumptive nominee Mitt Romney is to invite former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to speak at the convention.

Senior Obama Campaign official David Axelrod, admitted Sunday, August 5th on Fox News that Ohio military voters who are allowed early voting was indeed the target of the lawsuit filed against the state of Ohio. He incorrectly claimed that military early voting was an exception, which must be corrected, so that all Ohio voters can have the right to vote early. As Ohio democrats and the Obama campaign were targeting the military overseas voters and lambasting the Ohio state legislature and the Secretary of State for engaging in alleged discriminatory practices, they conveniently avoided mentioning that federal law protects early...

LANSING (WWJ) – Some voters have reportedly been turned away from the polls on Michigan’s primary election day for refusing to fill out the new “citizenship” box on their ballot application. LAS VEGAS — As U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid prepares to host his fifth annual National Clean Energy Summit on Aug. 7, a Nevada Journal examination of Nevada’s renewable energy sector shows that over $1.3 billion in federal funds funneled into geothermal, solar and wind projects since 2009 has yielded and is projected to yield just 288 permanent, full-time jobs. That’s an initial cost of over $4.6 million per job. Despite this, Sen. Reid continues to hype Nevada as the “Saudi Arabia of renewable energy,” even though the renewable energy subsidized with federal dollars and mandated under Nevada’s Renewable...

THE ISSUE: Fox News Channel and Megyn Kelly, host of America Live, would never permit a white person to call a black guest racist epithets — but they have allowed Jehmu Greene, the radical, racist, socialist and Democrat operative, to do just that, with impunity, on Kelly’s show. Greene also ran Project Vote, the group alleged to have provided cover for ACORN’s fraud-filled voter registration drives. On May 4th, Greene called Tucker Carlson a “bow-tyin’ white boy” which is a coarse pejorative used by blacks to denigrate whites. Since that time, Greene has issued no public apology and Megyn Kelly...

The mainstream media is celebrating a physicist who allegedly did a U-turn on his global warming views and now says humans are the cause.
