In NYC we have converts to Islam that spread their hatred every week on the streets of the city. Now once again we see how Islam destroys societies from within, as this Muslim convert married a 14 year-old girl in an Islamic ritual. Islamic laws contradict our laws and it should of never been allowed to be practiced here in the first place. Man charged with statutory rape in ‘marriage’ to 14-year-old girl

Healthcare reform debate matures tea party movement By Stella Lohmann November 7, 2009—Washington, D.C. At 11:07 PM EST Saturday night, the highly debated and emotionally charged HR 3962 Omnibus Health Care Reform Act passed the House along party lines 220 to 215. Republican Party Chairman, Michael Steele, told Geraldo Rivera of Fox News, “Listen to those Democrats applauding their way right out of office next year.” The late night vote follows days of protests outside the nation’s Capital by protestors of the estimated 1.2 trillion dollar health care reform bill and a slew of rallies, town hall meetings, and bus...

Before I really get rolling, I want to take a minute and talk about the horrific events at Ft. Hood that took place yesterday. I’ve always been a staunch supporter of the United States Military, and its personnel. I was coming home from work and saw it on the news when I walked in the house. It was one of the most disgusting displays of humanity that I had seen since September 11th. This man, Maj. Nidal Malik Hassan, did something deplorable. He was known to be politically against the war, and had spoken about how Muslims should not be...

Ross Douthat notes the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, that hideous Berliner Mauer that any sane person of East German parentage loathes with every fiber of his being. The same one that, today, a celebration is taking place, where an East German woman who now serves as Chancellor of Germany, something unthinkable twenty years ago. A celebration also honoring the brave German souls who fought against the tyranny that was Communism. It is, unfortunately, the same place where Mikhail Gorbachev, who did play a role in reforming the Soviet Union into oblivion, is now fêted as a...

Cost The CBO now estimates health bill spending at $3 trillion over 10 years. Since the CBO historically underestimates expenses, assume massive new deficits for a country that can ill afford them. Personal Requirements You'll be required to buy a 'qualified' health plan. A family earning $102K a year will pay $1,700 a month in premium and out-of-pocket expenses. 'Willful' failure to buy a plan will result in a fine of up to $250,000 and 'imprisonment of up to five years'. Illegal immigrants are exempt from fines and imprisonment.

It's not clear who will be running Honduras from now on, but the clear loser in the nation's protracted political crisis is Brazil. Ever since the June ouster of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, Brazil has been working to restore him to power. Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva denounced the "coup makers" at the U.N. in September, just before Zelaya sneaked back into Honduras and took refuge at the Brazilian Embassy. But by allowing Zelaya to use his diplomatic shield to broadcast radio messages from the embassy, Brazil ended up looking like a biased broker--which only worsened tensions by...

In 2008, a charismatic right-wing populist Republican governor won the heart of the party's base despite being forced to take a backseat to a more respectable "moderate" Republican. He was Mike Huckabee, and he is sad, and mad. Ben Smith followed Mike Huckabee around for a while as he sold his new Christmas book. Huckabee was the governor of Arkansas. He used to be fat, and then he got skinny, and now he is getting fat again. He's also basically as crazy Christian as they come, but he masks this with a genuinely likable sense of humor, which is why...

"I am urging Governor Perry today to call the Texas Legislature into special session. I am encouraging Attorney General Abbot to begin the work necessary to obtain an injunction against the IRS and the 111 other federal agencies empowered in this legislation to further embed Washington D.C. in our lives. These actions are critical to insuring that Texans are free to make our own decisions about healthcare” stated Medina.

Stocks are going though the roof, ever ask yourself why? With unemployment in LA at almost 15% and getting worse by the day, just what is driving the market higher you ask? Pure speculation here, but my 2cents are the government and banking system big shots have snuggled up together and are investing our monies that they have stolen from us and are investing and making more money while driving the market higher. Guess who will be left holding the bag again?

There are lots of good ones out there. Scott put up Reagan's speech, of course. Clyde had Sen. McConnell's tribute to the event (video added). Hot Air has a few good ones, all of which are worth a few minutes. But this is the one that got me. Freedom-loving people the world over, and especially our allies who were liberated from the yoke of Communist tyranny, are celebrating the triumph of good over evil. So ask yourself as you watch it, what the hell is wrong with Barack Obama?

When has someone lived long enough that they are no longer worth certain treatments? We're about to find out the federal government's opinion on the subject. Read the following paragraph and then read it again. Every decision of what to insure or not—when an MRI can be used, or whether a stage-four breast cancer patient can get Avastin or some future expensive drug—will become subject to political intervention over moral disputes or budget constraints. Heretofore, these decisions have largely been made between a doctor and patient. This is the real "right to life" issue. Every single one of these issues...

More evidence of America’s Jihad Denial Derangement Syndrome. It turns out that fellow students of the army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan who murdered 13 and wounded dozens more in a jihadi attack on Fort Hood had complained to the faculty about his anti-American propaganda – but were too afraid to file a formal complaint for fear of being accused of prejudice: However, classmate Finnell said that Hasan made a presentation during their studies ‘that justified suicide bombing’ and spewed ‘anti-American propaganda’ as he argued the war on terror was ‘a war against Islam.’ Finnell said he and at least one other...

In the aftermath of last night's vote in the House of Representatives in regards to health care, the Conservative blogosphere has been nitpicking at who supported the bill and who opposed the bill, even I joined the chaos of non-important examination of whom did what. This goes deeper than what Democrat supported the legislation and what Democrat opposed the legislation; we need to throw all Democrats out of the House of Representatives. Legislation which will put our entire life in control of the government from beginning to the end should never be discussed, let alone voted on.

There was one world leader absent for today’s commemorations marking the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Surprisingly enough, it’s President Barack Obama, who found time last year to give a campaign speech there last year, which Der Spiegel summed up as “People of the World, Look at Me”. The White House has cited a packed schedule, though looking at it he had nothing much on yesterday (brief chat to reporters about healthcare – by far his biggest priority) and just blah briefings and a bill signing today until a metting this evening with Benjamin Netanyahu. This...

What an empty shell this deceiver is. It was said. "By their fruits ye shall know them" The fruits off the Obama tree are rotten to the core. There is very little true substance in this man. He is a creature of the shadows surrounded by wolves and vipers. Let us take a moment to pray for the brave souls who died for freedom tearing down the Berlin Wall. By their fruits ye shall know them. Millios are free because of their sacrifice. Now it is our turn to shine the light for all to see. The final contest is...

California Liberals Remain Hopeful About Obama Despite Setbacks, Times/USC Poll Finds November 9, 2009 Much media attention has been devoted in recent weeks to disappointed liberals — Obama supporters disillusioned by the problems the new president has had in converting his campaign promises into legislation. But how widespread is that phenomenon? Has disappointment spread throughout liberal ranks or are the disaffected still a rarity? At least in California, rare is the answer, according to a new Los Angeles Times/USC College of Letters, Arts and Sciences poll of the state’s voters. The poll gave voters a list of emotions — anger,...

The details of the visit have not been announced but the office of the vice president has told members of the state's congressional delegation that he will attend the memorial service at the fort on Tuesday. The service will honor the seven soldiers killed in a single improvised explosive device attack on October 27 in Afghanistan. They were members of the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade combat team, 2nd Infantry Division. It was the deadliest day so far for Fort Lewis soldiers since the beginning of the wars in Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, according...

It should be telling to all Americans that while our current "president" has plenty of time to jet set around to places like Copenhagen, to shill for his corrupt Chicago buddies, and of course, play golf and shoot hoops, he is conspicuously absent from the festivities going on in Berlin this week. I have to wonder if, instead of cheering as most of us were twenty years ago, were Obama and his Marxist friends all shedding tears and consoling one another instead, at the fall of this symbol of oppression.

A Posting from Kevin Sinnott on Sarah Palin's facebook......" I am a Soldier stationed at Fort Hood and we did a Ramp Ceremony (putting the Flag draped coffins on the plane) and there were 500-1000 soldiers that were there to give respect. Even the Army Chief of Staff from DC came to give his respect. Mayors from the nearby cities were there. No President Obama though. He was able to go to New Jersey 5 times to campain for the former governor, but he couldn't come to pay his respect the day after the terrible tragedy. Even President Bush came...

The only Republican to vote for House Democrats' healthcare bill this weekend stressed on Monday that his party's leaders did not harangue him for his decision. Instead, the House GOP leadership treated his party defection in a "professional" way, Rep. Joseph Cao (R-La.) told Fox News. "I knew that it would cause some, I guess, 'talking points' within the party, but to tell you the truth, the party leadership, they were very professional about it," he told Fox's Geraldo Rivera. "They do realize I have a very poor district, and they do realize that this healthcare reform bill, or any...

Over the weekend, the House of Representatives passed a (somewhat final) version of the health care reform bill. There are a lot of good things about this bill. It'll provide coverage to a lot of people that didn't previously have coverage, make health care more affordable, and increase options for health insurance. These are good things. But I'm still not happy. Because this health care reform bill, although it has a lot of good aims, falls short in key ways. One of the biggest problems with the bill the House voted on this weekend is that it includes the Stupak-Pitts...

ABC News report points out U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with Al Qaeda. Details of Hasan's efforts appear to be coming from two American official with knowledge of classified briefings. As you will see in this report Hasan's connections to the terrorist organization continue to mount. He has been tied to the same mosque as two 9/11 hijackers. He attended this mosque during the same period when a radical imam was known to have preached there. Despite the mounting evidence ABC ends this report saying, ”This...

Ronald Reagan's historic speech before the Berlin Wall in 1987, in which he said "Mr. Gorbachev, Tear down this wall," is one of most important speeches in world history. The Berlin Wall's falling, which came about two years later, was a victory for freedom and a crushing blow to the former Soviet Union and the tyranny of Communism around the world.

According to The New York Times, on Saturday evening the President of the United States used a thoroughly disgusting gay-baiting slur to refer to people that previous presidents might have called “My Fellow Americans”. Speaking with congressional Democrats, our situationally unaware, amateur-night chief executive asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?”Call me an old-timer, but I can remember when U.S. Presidents had class. They might have called their political opponents any number of things in private, but you would not hear of them demeaning American citizens. It...

Washington rejected royalty; Lincoln was a backwoods lawyer; any American stood up and looked foreign royalty in the eye because an American was as good as anybody. Our aristocrats paid for their privileges and lost them when the money ran out. Getting ahead wasn’t easy but your gains were yours and nobody interfered with what you did. We lived with opportunity that pulled people from everywhere. Our watchwords per Alexis de Toqueville (Democracy in America) were equality and liberty. Government paid less than industry but was secure, you didn’t work as hard and benefits were better. Smart politicians assumed public...

The Obama White House, where fantasy and reality intersect... "Here's a major shout out to Injun Joe!" yelled President Obama, getting the gathering of Native Americans on its feet. "Pashtoonipakiganistan can wait, I've got political favors to hand out!" "Did he say "injun?" "No," clarified Propaganda Minister Gibbs, "with the roar of the crowd I can see how someone would hear 'injun' when he really said 'Native American.'" The crowd's enthusiasm dampened when a grinning Vice President Biden, doing his best rain dance and tomahawk chops, chimed in with a politically-incorrect "Hi Howara, Hi Howara!" But he quickly recovered, roaring...

Andrew Bast of Newsweek thinks he's got the real reason behind Major Nidal Hasan's murderously criminal rampage at Fort Hood last Thursday. Could it be that Hasan was steadily radicalized and steeped in hateful Islamofascism? Could it be a jihad mindset that sent Hasan into that military clinic yelling Allahu Akbar as he shot at anyone that got in his way? Nope. Ridiculously, it was a "military on the brink," it was the "stress" an uncaring U.S. military is forcing upon its members that was at fault as far as Bast is concerned. This is his obtuse conclusion in Newsweek's...

The politicians come out of their bunkers and cloud-filled backrooms and promise us goodies and treats. They promise us a vision of hope and utopia where everything will finally be right and just. All we have to do is just sign over our freedoms. Here is a GOP Congressman on the Pelosi health care bill: Why, it's almost like it's so good it hurts you! Or it's health care that's so good you'll end up in prison if you don't accept it. Maybe that's an idea. If we break the law, we will have government-run health care. There's only one...

Inconvenient truths keep getting in the way of the liberal template that government-run health (s)care protests, town hall attendees, and Tea Partiers ... - portrayed “racism and other violent themes” (in the eloquent verbiage of Jimmy Carter, who on January 20, 2009 became the second-worst president in American history), - are “worse than racists” (Keith Olbermann), - are “racist rednecks who hate blacks” (Jeneane Garofalo), - are angry old white men who can’t accept that “there’s a black man in the White House” (Rachel Maddow), - and are motivated by “cultural and racial fear” (NY Times’ Paul Krugman). With that,...

The House Obamacare Abortion war is not done. Before the final vote on Saturday night, the house passed the Stupak Amendment, the only bi-partisan part of the bill. Sixty-four Democrats joined Republicans to pass the amendment, which if it wasn't passed would have caused the 40+ pro-life Democrats to vote no, putting Obamacare on the shelf next to Hillarycare. The Stupak amendment prohibits abortion coverage in the public insurance option included in the House bill and would also prevent private plans from offering coverage for abortion services if they accepts people who are receiving government subsidies. The passing of the...

It has been 20 long years since the fall of the Berlin wall. Millions of people who were trapped in their oppressive, government-planned states suffered as a result of collectivism. Over 100 million people died at the hands of sycophantic, megalomaniac leaders that claimed they could bring us a better world than so-called capitalism and individual liberty has brought us. I say "so-called" because nowhere in the world does capitalism truly exist. In the countries where it is allowed to exist in even small proportions, wealth and prosperity reign. However, the collectivists hate even this small proportion of capitalism that...

Meredith Shiner and I write today on the GOP's persistent trouble recruiting, retaining and attracting women, particularly in the House. The exception seems to be among hard core conservatives, with Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and Virginia Foxx (R-NC), emerging as populist folk heroes on the right. But that doesn't necessarily make them appealing to independent and moderate women, says Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), herself a rising star among a larger class of Democratic women. Asked about Foxx and Bachmann, Wasserman Schultz, blasted away: “This is a party that doesn’t respect women, a party that doesn’t believe women are equal to...

Federal Spending: Tipping Point Allie Winegar Duzett, November 9, 2009 “We need to get a grip on our budget,” Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) argued at this week’s Heritage Foundation Bloggers’ Briefing. The spending is “out of control,” Rep. Ryan declared, adding that “there is either A) no desire to get it under control, or B) no capacity to get it under control, or a combination of the two.” Rep. Ryan has recently sponsored a bill that would address this problem. “Our bill … creates a legally binding budget, [and] gives the budget the force of law,” he stated. “The problem...

And I don't want to be friends. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. Most (52%) remain opposed. Only 25% Strongly Support the plan while 42% are Strongly Opposed. Hardly the "everybody wants it" scenario the elected goons in this now delusional representative republic have been describing, right? It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that the Botox Hag and her Flying Monkeys up on Capitol Hill have lost touch with the concept of representation as it's described in the U.S....

Keeping Communism Down Allie Winegar Duzett, November 9, 2009 November 9th is the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, and even if news stations like CNN and ABC do not, other people worldwide will be celebrating this defeat of communism. November 9th marked “the effective death of the Cold War,” Dr. Lee Edwards said at the Heritage Foundation Bloggers’ Briefing earlier this week. The Cold War was “a war which America participated in for forty-six years—it’s the reason why we fought in Korea, the reason we fought in Vietnam: fighting and opposing communism,” he explained, noting that...

Schooled On Constitutionalism Allie Winegar Duzett, November 9, 2009 America today is facing what Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) called a tipping point: if President Obama’s socialist agenda is implemented, America will be on the path to total statist takeover. This takeover has been going on for a century though, as leftist politicians have encouraged a culture of entitlement throughout the nation. Rep. Ryan argued at last week’s Heritage Foundation Bloggers’ Briefing that the only way to end this culture of entitlements and handouts is to talk to the youth. No one can tell the elderly that their benefits will be...

Limits To Diversity & Tolerance Malcolm A. Kline, November 9, 2009 When school district representatives told a Southern California teacher to remove the banners he had on display in his classroom, “diversity” and “tenure” were used to justify the order, according to Robert Muise, a lawyer for the Michigan-based Thomas More Law Center. “Mr. Johnson, if a Muslim student came in here, he wouldn’t be comfortable,” bureaucrats told the educator, Muise said at a Capitol Hill seminar on October 28, 2009....

The Obama followers are getting weird. I get it, for whatever reason, people are suddenly starting to see how screwed up government is, and they think his government will be different for some reason. But there’s a sense of rabid cultism, fetishism almost. So this fits in perfectly: The Obama dildo. I really don’t know what to say about this one. It’s a 7 and a half inch, gold likeness of Obama, with a set of balls at the base. Also, the box says “Commemorative Edition”. So I guess it’s a collectors item. Amazing.
