Law enforcement intelligence officials have put out a warning that someone has sent a text calling on people to kill “all white police officers” in reaction to the death of Freddie Gray while in Baltimore police custody, raising fears violence could spread nationally, according to safety memos obtained by The Washington Times.

After Baltimore police reported a “credible threat” that some of the notorious gangs around the nation—including the Black Guerrilla Family, the Bloods, and the Crips—have ordered their members to target officers, various police departments are taking steps to protect their officers.

<p>The NYPD set up SWAT teams at two Bedford-Stuyvesant police precincts Tuesday night — after a confidential informant told cops about overhearing a gang plot to “shoot it out” at the station houses.</p> <p>Four Emergency Services Unit officers, outfitted with helmets and assault weapons, were stationed at the 79th precinct.
