Joe Biden's pretty happy with himself for avoiding any major gaffes recently. "You know, I'm sort of a gaffe-free zone right now, you know," he told CNN's Ed Henry in an interview airing today. Biden's been particularly careful to avoid verbal slips recently. After almost taking a shot at Dick Cheney in a recent interview with reporters, Biden caught himself and backtraked. "Yeah, yeah, I know. I can see the headline now," he said, according to a pool report. "I’m getting better, guys. I’m getting a little bit better, you know what I mean?" Biden's foot-in-mouth disease has caused Obama...

Oops! Such a reaction would be adequate if you locked yourself out of your car. It happens to most of us at one time or another. However, it is woefully inadequate as a response when you blow nearly $800 billion of taxpayers money on a government program that failed completely. Such was the response of VP Joe Biden on Meet The Press yesterday when he said that "everyone guessed wrong" on the economic stimulus package.Oops! And now the DUmmies are upset that Biden said this out in the open where it is sure to hurt their Beloved Barack bigtime as...

In Washington, the clearer a statement is, the more certain it is to be followed by a "clarification" when people realize what was said. The clearly racist comments made by Judge Sonia Sotomayor on the Berkeley campus in 2001 have forced the spinmasters to resort to their last-ditch excuse, that it was "taken out of context." If that line is used during Judge Sotomayor's Senate confirmation hearings, someone should ask her to explain just what those words mean when taken in context. What could such statements possibly mean — in any context — other than the new and fashionable racism...

President Obama hit a home run with his nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court -- and not just because she's the "woman who saved baseball" by ending the strike in 1995, nor simply because she would be the first Latina ever to serve on the high court. It was a home run because in her three-decade career as a prosecutor, judge, private litigator and law professor, she has time and again earned bipartisan praise as one of America's finest legal minds. And it was the right choice because Judge Sotomayor -- herself born and raised in a...

Vice President Biden is about to find out how well his boss can take a joke. The vice president razzed the commander-in-chief Wednesday while speaking at the Air Force Academy commencement ceremony in Colorado, poking fun at President Obama's known affinity for his Teleprompter. Biden made the crack about Obama's crutch after a strong gust of wind blew over one of the vice president's Teleprompters. Biden was talking about Colorado's thin air at the time and when he heard the crash, he added, "and the strong winds." Then he said: "What am I gonna tell the president when I tell...

Joe Biden let slip the "undisclosed location" where Dick Cheney hid out in the hours after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 to his tablemates during the Gridiron dinner earlier this year. According to Newsweek's Eleanor Clift: The veep related the story to his head-table dinner mates when he filled in for President Obama at the Gridiron Club earlier this year. He said the young naval officer giving him a tour of the [vice-presidential residence at the Naval Observatory] showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting...

WASHINGTON, Momentarily -- Thrown repeatedly off message by a series of poorly timed or ill-considered comments by the government's second-ranking official, the Obama White House is giving serious thought to putting Vice President Joe Biden on a perpetual seven-second sound delay. According to two senior administration sources who requested anonymity, the White House is weighing the benefits of implanting a computer chip just above the vice president's jawbone, where it would receive electronic impulses from Biden's brain and temporarily reroute them to a monitoring station within the West Wing for real-time review. Non-controversial statements would be relayed back to Biden's...

Mere days after an Air Force One backup buzzed Lower Manhattan, panicking thousands and reviving memories of 9/11, VP Biden scared the bejabbers out of straphangers...."I would not be . . . suggesting [my family] ride the subway." Biden is famous for his dumb utterances.......but there's a real cost to fomenting panic -- if the consequence further depress NY's economy. Time to zip it joe.

Why would a sitting VP want to exaggerate how many jobs are disintegrating on his watch? Because, silly, the worse things seem now, the easier it is to credit The One later with having “created or saved” the jobs people still have. You know what the media did here, don’t you? They … messed with Joe. Click the image to watch.

Vice President Joe Biden, tasked with overseeing the $787 billion stimulus package, has been having a little trouble with his "numbers." During an interview on CBS' "Early Show" on Wednesday, Biden told viewers to check out a government-run Web site tracking stimulus spending, but admitted he was embarrassed because he couldn't remember the site's "number."

Mockery of and apologies to the Supreme Court chief justice aside, Vice President Biden on Monday learned how difficult it is to deliver an oath of office. The vice president fumbled his words while swearing in Hillary Clinton as secretary of state in a mock ceremony held at Foggy Bottom. After smoothly saying and having Clinton repeat that she does "solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic," Biden, who was using a note card, faltered. "... that I will bear -- excuse me ... that I will...

How many vice presidents does it take to shoot from the lip? Ask Vice President Joe Biden, who this week experienced a sweat-inducing "did I really say that?" moment after he lamely tried to turn U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts into a punch line while standing next to the president of the United States. Instead, Biden found himself the target of an arctic blast of reaction from President Obama.Ouch. Not only did his line about "my memory is not as good as Justice Roberts" - a reference to Roberts flubbing the words to the oath of office when he administered...

Here is video of Vice-President Joe Biden - the ultimate gaffemaster - taking a shot at Chief Justice John Roberts today about his mistake yesterday in administering the Oath of Office to Barack Obama. Biden was asked by Obama to swear-in White House staffers today at a ceremony, and before doing so, Biden cracked, "My memory is not as good as Chief Justice Roberts'." President Obama was obviously uncomfortable with Biden's remark, as you will notice he gently nudges Biden's elbow as if to say "move on Joe." Lest anyone has forgotten Joe Biden's many gaffes, here is one of...
