As a Conservative, I do not have a set political ideology. What I do is hold to certain truths to be, well, self evident. For example, I believe abortion is murder in all cases, no matter what. And why? Common sense tells us that live begins at conception. As another example, I also believe that the United States Constitution is the law of the land. And why? 2+2=4, and never 5, no matter what the liberals on the short bus say. The US Constitution is the law of the land. I expect and demand that the federal government stays within...

It’s like the The Never Ending Story meets the Bad News Bears: the VA implosion, the implosion of Iraq, the implosion at the border, the implosion of IRS computer hard drives (along with the EPA’s) and now, the implosion of the economy. And that’s just in the past month!…a giant sucking soundImagine how you’d feel if you were president and had to find out about all of this when you tuned into the evening news. Without so much as a heads up before another disaster strikes it’s hard to “frame the discussion” properly. Which is to say, it’s hard to...

The odds are that you think President Obama’s foreign policy is a failure. That’s the scathing consensus forming, with just 36 percent of Americans approving of Obama’s foreign policy in a New York Times/CBS News poll released this week. Foreign policy used to be a source of strength for the president, and now it’s dragging him down — and probably other Democrats with him. Blowing things up is often satisfying, and Obama’s penchant for muddling along instead, with restraint, is hurting him politically. But that’s our weakness more than his. Obama’s foreign policy is far more deft — and less...

Where is the USS New York? At 684 feet long and displacing over 24,900 tons, the Mayport, Fla.-based San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock is no smart car of the seas. Yet the vessel has gone “dark” for more than a week now. The low profile might have something to do with the fact that the New York is currently home to the recently captured Ahmed Abu Khattala, one of the accused ringleaders of the Sept. 11-12, 2012, Benghazi terrorist attacks that left four Americans dead. While any ship’s location is supposed to be a well-guarded secret when deployed, the New...

A subset of diplomatic facilities similar to the one that came under attack in Benghazi, Libya, suffers from absent, outdated or inconsistent security standards, a Government Accountability Office report released Wednesday determines. The public version of the “sensitive but unclassified” report doesn’t name which 10 high-risk, geographically diverse posts were part of its survey. Among the report’s findings were “some facility types for which standards were lacking or unclear, instances in which the standards were not updated in a timely manner, and inconsistencies within the standards.” For example, “State’s process for updating physical security standards is not timely. In some...

Historians commonly date the birth of Western civilization from the Greek development of mathematics. Greek mathematics was the first point of view able to regard the world as potentially comprehensible. While computational methods to solve practical problems existed as far back as the Sumerian and Egyptian civilizations they were always ad hoc; a way of solving problems rather than of understanding the universe. The Western revolution was based on the semi (and often frankly) religious goal of understanding the universe. From that world view flowed the ‘how’ as a byproduct — the technology we often mistake for the spirit of...

Kenneth Timmerman’s new book, Dark Forces: The Truth about What Happened in Benghazi, focuses on far more than just the events that occurred during the storming of the American consulate in Libya by Islamic jihadists on September 11 2011. According to Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, the book “contextualizes” by taking an historical narrative of the events leading up to the fateful day for America and the aftermath of the crisis, which took the lives of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Ty Woods. Appearing on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot Radio, channel 125,...

CHAPPAQUA - Chappaqua police say a vandal defaced a sign promoting Hillary Clinton's book tour in her own hometown. The vandalism was discovered Sunday morning at the Chappaqua Library on South Greeley Avenue. Police say someone spray-painted the word "Benghazi" in red over a sign that hangs outside the library.

“Hillary was stunned when she heard the president talk about the Benghazi attack,” one of her top legal advisers said in an interview. “Obama wanted her to say that the attack had been a spontaneous demonstration triggered by an obscure video on the Internet that demeaned the Prophet Mohammed.” This adviser continued: “Hillary told Obama, ‘Mr. President, that story isn’t credible. Among other things, it ignores the fact that the attack occurred on 9/11.’ But the president was adamant. He said, ‘Hillary, I need you to put out a State Department release as soon as possible.’”

Adventures with Inspector Lestrade:: By: Larry Walker II ::US officials announced Tuesday that a joint Special Forces and FBI operation successfully nabbed Libyan national Ahmed Abu Khattala, the man suspected as the ringleader for the 2012 attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.” The piece I read was titled, “9/11 Benghazi Attack 'Mastermind' Who Hid in Plain Sight for Years Captured By US Forces.” That's all well and good, however, I believe a conviction in this case is about as likely as one against John McFarlane in the case of the Norwood Builder.Back on October 18, 2012, a month...

By now you’ve heard about the prisoner swap of five Taliban commanders from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for Seargeant Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held by a Taliban-friendly group in Afghanistan since 2009. Military reports and a platoon medic said that Sgt. Bergdahl had a history of deserting his post. It’s no secret that President Obama has a history of governing more like an absolute monarch – accountable to no one – instead of a President accountable to the judicial and legislative branches. This latest incident is no exception or surprise, as confirmed by a recent revelation to Congress. During a...

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton initially obliged Tuesday when she was stopped by a man in Washington, D.C., who asked if she could autograph her new book, “Hard Choices,” but she was stunned by the man’s brazen request when he asked her to make it out to “Christopher Stevens.” On Sept. 11, 2012, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were murdered by jihadists under Clinton’s watch when she served as secretary of state.

Democrats hoping the capture of Ahmed Abu Khatallah will bring some kind of closure to the Benghazi issue are sorely mistaken. In fact, in terms of policy, events surrounding his arrest only highlight the awful legacy of the Libyan venture -- when NATO assisted the rebels and helped remove the dictator from power in 2011. Democracy did not spring up after strongman Moammar Gadhafi was deposed, captured and killed in 2011, but instead a tyranny was replaced with an anarchy. There were an estimated 1,700 armed groups left fighting for control of the country and it became, in the words...

As she exited her Hard Choices book event Tuesday in Washington, D.C., former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was approached by conservative activist Jason Mattera, who asked her to sign a copy of the book out to one of the four Americans who perished in the 2012 Benghazi attack. “If you could make it out to Christopher Stevens,” Mattera asked, referring to the U.S. Ambassador to Libya who was a victim of the terrorist siege. “I think you knew him.” After a brief pause, Clinton responded, “Yeah, I’m not going to make it out to Chris Stevens.” “What difference does...

The Obama administration’s role in making the anti-Muhammad video go viral on the day of the Benghazi attacks; its connection to the filmmaker (a Federal informant at the time); the claim from one of the actresses in the video that the filmmaker confessed to being a Muslim; and the filmmaker’s Muslim fundamentalist partner in crime all suggest that blaming the video for the attacks should be ill-advisable for the administration. Following its logic, the blood of four Americans and an untold number of victims of all protests related to the video are on the hands of the administration itself.

Jason Mattera caught up with Hillary Clinton at one of the DC stops on her book tour this week, and asked the former Secretary of State if she would mind signing a copy of Hard Choices… but with a twist. “If you could make it out to Christopher Stevens,” Mattera queried. “I think you knew him.” Christopher Stevens, of course, was the U.S. ambassador to Libya who was murdered along with three other Americans on Clinton’s watch, when Jihadists attacked two U.S. outposts in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. Hillary, surprised by the request, replied, “Yeah, I’m not gonna make...

"Shocker: Seized Benghazi suspect worked for U.S. Aligned with American interests against Gadhafi regime" TEL AVIV – Benghazi suspect Ahmed Abu Khattallah, seized by the U.S. on Sunday, once served as a key conduit in an effort staged by the U.S. and Arab interests to aid insurgents fighting in Libya and later in Syria, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials. It was not immediately clear whether Khattallah himself worked directly with the Americans or if he knew he was part of an effort that involved the U.S.. He did, however, receive funds for his participation in a nexus coordinated...

After Saba Ahmed, a Muslim law student from American University, asked a question at the Benghazi Accountability Coalition panel hosted by the Heritage Foundation on Monday, Ahmed became a standard-bearer for liberal media outlets—but it turns out Ahmed is more than just a law student. She is also a “family friend” of a violent jihadi. […] So, who is Saba Ahmed? It turns out that Ahmed is a “family friend” of Somali-American Mohamed Mohamud, the 19-year-old who in 2010 tried to ignite a car bomb at a Christmas tree lighting in Portland, Oregon. According to an undercover FBI agent, Mohamud...
