Issuing misdemeanor summonses to two of the three people involved in the “brutal attack on an innocent family” at a gas station in north Baton Rouge Sunday night was an “error in judgment” by the officers who did not book the suspects into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, Provisional Police Chief Carl Dabadie Jr., said Friday. “We have counseled the officers involved and I have re-emphasized to all my commanders that I expect offenders who commit misdemeanor crimes of violence will be booked into the prison, not summonsed,” Dabadie said in a statement.

Animal Rights, Human Wrongs By Iain Murray: 20 Apr 2006 Animal rights extremism -- which the FBI has labeled the biggest domestic terrorism threat -- has encountered a number of serious reverses recently. These reverses are a great victory for science, free inquiry and public health. In particular, Americans could learn from a popular movement in the UK that is standing up to the threats and intimidation of the animal "liberation" movement and asserting the moral arguments for animal testing. The poster child for animal liberation extremism has been Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), a British-based firm that conducts experiments on...

Barack Obama and the Party of Treason are on a roll. He has John Boehner and the Republicans on the ropes. It is no longer a question of will Boehner surrender but what will be the terms of his surrender. The Republican resistance to Obama has all but collapsed as Obama simply waits for the pressure to increase on Boehner and for Boehner to surrender. John Boehner and the Republicans are no longer the opposition to Obama. We the people are. So if we are the opposition, how do we beat Obama?
