A 19-year-old man killed in a shootout with Las Vegas police SWAT officers as they burst into an apartment was not the suspect in a murder investigation that prompted the raid, a department official said.

OKLAHOMA CITY - First-degree manslaughter charges will be filed Wednesday against five officers involved in the shooting death of 15-year-old Stavian Rodriguez. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the soon-to-be-charged officers were identified as Corey Adams, Jared Barton, Bethany Sears, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton. Rodriguez, who was accused of armed robbery last Nov. 23 at a southwest Oklahoma City convenience store, was confronted and shot by police.

Oklahoma legislators are working to pass another bill, HB 2273. It's a companion bill to SB 6 which is working it's way through the state senate. Both bills would make it illegal to photograph or video law enforcement and publish it on an online site, forum or social media platform. There's been a lot of confusion and concern with the two bills as you can imagine. So what exactly will the new law do and what are the penalties for violating the law? MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested days after George Floyd’s fatal arrest that sparked protests and outcry across the city and nation. On Friday, John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, announced that Chauvin has been taken into custody in connection with the May 25 death. Chauvin is the former officer in the video seen around the world with his knee on Floyd’s neck. He’d been with Minneapolis police for 19 years. It was not immediately clear what the expected charges Chauvin could face are.

Animal rescue volunteer Raina Nyliram said the drugs she administered were all over-the-counter medication. She said the animals needed to be cared for because the veterinarian’s office was closed.

DALLAS - Following the shooting death of Botham Jean by the hands of Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, multiple search warrants were executed at Jean’s apartment as part of the investigation.
