I have no problem with assassinating the Iranian President and all the wackjob mullahs around the world. I think we ought to task our Special Ops guys with just that job, maybe do a double-team with Mossad. I think we would open up a whole new level of understanding with our jihad-jolly friends if they began to fear deeply for their personal safety. And I think we ought to have a certain tolerance for collateral damage along the way, because they would hide themselves among their most vulnerable and innocent. This is a war to the death, and you don’t...

The newly unearthed diaries of a colourful assassin for the wartime Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the forerunner of the CIA, reveal that American spy chiefs wanted Patton dead because he was threatening to expose allied collusion with the Russians that cost American lives. The death of General Patton in December 1945, is one of the enduring mysteries of the war era. Although he had suffered serious injuries in a car crash in Manheim, he was thought to be recovering and was on the verge of flying home. But after a decade-long investigation, military historian Robert Wilcox claims that OSS...

Forty-five years later, the controversy continues: Was John F. Kennedy felled by a lone assassin's bullet? Or was he the victim of a conspiracy involving the KGB, or the military, or the CIA, or organized crime or Cuban exiles? Or was it a combination? My WND column this week features some fascinating websites that explore the circumstances -- and deaths -- associated with the murder of JFK, including one where you can watch a real-time EarthCam view of Dealey Plaza.

"He was working for U.S. aid projects for tribal areas," he added. U.S. embassy officials in Islamabad were not immediately available for comment. Abdul Qadir, a superintendent of police,...

While they were fugitives from justice, Sen. Barack Obama's friend, associate, and political mentor William Ayers and three of his radical Weather Underground co-conspirators, including his wife Bernardine Dohrn, dedicated their 1974 book Prairie Fire to a rogue's gallery that included Sirhan Sirhan, who assassinated Sen. Robert F. Kennedy in Los Angeles in 1968. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity brought this fact to national attention on their respective radio and television programs on October 30. As Ayers and company wrote in the book: We are a guerilla organization. We are communist women and men, underground in the United States for...

In a 30 minute interview with BET's Ed Gordon, Illinois Senator Barack Obama was asked if he'd ever thought about being assassinated. Obama responded saying "I just can't spend time thinking about it." Obama added that's what the Secret Service is for and he trusts them with his life. Following Obama's win in the Iowa democratic primary in January his secret service detail was immediately doubled rivaling that of President Bush. At least two possible security threats have been reported during the campaign. Prior to the Democratic Convention in Denver, several men were arrested with weapons, one allegedly muttering something...

A disturbing trend may be on the rise at Republican rallies. It is one thing to state that your opponent may have character issues or may not be the best choice to serve as President of the United States. It is something else entirely to stoke a fire that may incite violence against a sitting United States Senator who is the other party's nominee for President. Today, in a rally in Clearwater, FL., at a speech given by Governor Palin a man reportedly said "Kill Him" in reference to Barack Obama. We have a little less than a month to...

Two rifles, including a sniper rifle, and methamphetamines were found in the car. WASHINGTON — Former President Ford secretly advised the FBI that two of his fellow members on the Warren Commission doubted the FBI's conclusion that John F. Kennedy was shot from the sixth floor of the Texas Book Depository in Dallas, according to newly released records from Ford's FBI files. Ford, still a congressman at the time, also told a senior FBI official about internal panel disputes over hiring staff, Chief Justice Earl Warren's timetable for completing the final report on the assassination and what panel members said about the FBI. In turn, Assistant FBI Director Cartha "Deke" DeLoach confidentially advised...

Hillary and her campaign continue to try to hold Obama and his campaign to a higher set of standards than they're willing to adhere to. Apparently Hillary and her people can mock and deride Obama all they want to. And what about Hillary's Machiavelian [sic] response to "60-Minutes" Steve Croft's question to her about whether or not she believed Obama was a Muslim? She knows very well he is a Christian. So she could have clearly and finally put an end to the untrue rumor with an unequivocol "No, there's no truth to that rumor". But she purposely chose...

The General who knew too little or too much? By George Eid August 07, 2008 General Mohammed Suleiman, an officer of the Syrian Arab Army was found dead in Tartus. He was assassinated in Syria only six months after the assassination of Imad Moghniya. Pro-Syrians called it an accident while some others considered it an assassination. That is a question that has been mingling in the headlines of the major newspapers for the last couple of days. “Mohammed Suleiman, an officer of the...

Syrian general's killing severs Hezbollah links James Hider, Middle East Correspondent The mysterious killing last week of a top Syrian general and key aide to Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian president, has sparked intense speculation about internal feuding within the regime’s intelligence apparatus. Syria is at a critical juncture as it pursues indirect peace talks with Israel and a closer relationship with the West, while attempting to maintain its long-standing regional alliances with Iran and the militant Shia Hezbollah of Lebanon. General Mohammed Suleiman, one of Mr Assad’s closest confidantes, was shot dead on Friday at his chalet in the prestigious...

(IsraelNN.com) Syrian President Bashar Assad's top aide and adviser, General Mohammed Suleiman, was assassinated on Friday, according to Arab news sources. Suleiman, who was also Syria's liaison officer to the Hizbullah terrorist organization in Lebanon, was shot and killed by an unidentified sniper in the Syrian port city of Tartous. Syrian authorities tried unsuccessfully to prevent publication of the news. The country's Albawaba newspaper, which reported the incident, speculated that Israel might have been behind the killing. Both Albawaba and the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper raised the issue of last February's assassination of Hizbullah second-in-command Imad Mughniyeh, who died in a...

hillary has announced that she will concede on Friday to Barack Hussein Obama. Why wait until friday? Once she has announced, hasn't she effectively conceded? When Barack Obama speaks at the Democratic Convention on August 28, it will be the 45th anniversary of the day Martin Luther King told America that he 'had a dream' of a more equal country. King, of course, paid for his dream with an assassin's bullet. The question now lurking behind every discussion of Obama's campaign is: Will America elect a black man as its President? It is an uncomfortable question for a country with a particularly troubled history of race relations. Has America changed enough since King made that epoch-changing speech? Or will the electorate, or more terrifyingly, another...

Bobby generated great hope and enthusiasm among America's young, especially those who were opposed to the Vietnam war - not unlike the campaign of a young Illinois Senator today. RFK was a strong supporter of Israel, and that...

“We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California,” Hillary Clinton told the editorial board of The Sioux Falls Argus Leader last week in explaining her reason for staying in the presidential race. This comment evoked predictable outrage from the Obama-happy media. “The politics of this nation is steeped enough in blood, Senator Clinton,” wailed MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann in higher dudgeon than usual. “You cannot and must not invoke that imagery! Anywhere! At any time!” Unfortunately for an earlier black rival of the Clintons with presidential aspirations of his own, Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, the then Clinton-happy media...

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton tried again yesterday to explain her reference last week to Robert F. Kennedy's assassination, while her campaign aides accused Sen. Barack Obama's advisers of taking the comment out of context and exploiting it. In an interview in South Dakota on Friday, Clinton was discussing why she is still seeking her party's presidential nomination when she referred to the assassination of Kennedy -- then, like her, a senator from New York -- on June 5, 1968, as he celebrated his victory in the California primary. She used the June date to illustrate how long the Democratic race...

NEW YORK Even as Hillary Clinton worked to defuse her Friday comment about the 2008 campaign and the Robert Kennedy assassination, a Fox New contributor went much further, joking about someone actually targeting Barack Obama. Appearing on Fox News today, Liz Trotta, a former editor with the Washington Times and reporter the Chicago Tribune and Newsday, was asked by the host, Eric Shawn, about the Clinton controversy and the 2008 race. This led Trotta to refer to the Clinton misstep, in which she mentioned the RFK killing to show (the candidate later claimed) that previous campaigns, like the current one,...

Everyone’s abuzz over Hillary Clinton saying she is staying in the race just in case Barack Obama gets assassinated. Or, something like that: “My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing calls to drop out. A very angry John Aravosis has the blow-by-blow of the story breaking and the various reactions and counter-reactions as they played out on television. Marc Ambinder notes that the part about Bill...

Everybody who has thought seriously about the Obama candidacy, including me and probably including the Senator himself, have reflected on the horrible possibility that he would be assassinated. One cannot think about Obama, the Kennedy-esque candidate without worrying about his safety. But we all observe the discipline of not raising the issue in public. We all worry that to do so would be to encourage some maniac to take a shot. Now Hillary has violated this unstated but heretofore universal taboo and brought up the possibility. That is not to say that she is hoping for a murder. But it...

Senator Dianne Feinstein says that if Barack Obama becomes the Democratic nominee, he should select Hillary Rodham Clinton as his running mate. Feinstein, a longtime friend and supporter of Clinton's, says Clinton and Obama have "garnered a different constituency and different states." The California senator says that combining them would form the strongest ticket. It isn't clear if Clinton would accept the vice-presidency, but Feinstein says she thinks that anyone accepts if they're asked. The Obama campaign has dismissed reports that there are talks going on between the two campaigns about putting Clinton on the ticket.

WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton apologized Friday after she mentioned the assassination of Sen. Robert Kennedy while defending her decision to remain in the race against Sen. Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton is still in the presidential race, she said today, because "historically, it makes no sense" to quit, and added that, "Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June," making an odd comparison between the dead candidate and Barack Obama. One day after acting federal police chief Edgar Millan was brutally murdered, four gunmen in a truck shot and killed anti-kidnapping commander Esteban Robles, authorities said. Robles was rushed to hospital after the attack Friday but did not survive. There are many questions that this theory brings about. Not the least of which is who are the officials that were named in the report? Is there a continuing investigation on this drugs and weapons/ government officials link? If not, why not? This theory makes a wonder how many Congressmen/women are finding themselves in similar situations. Whether it be from an outside source or an inside source. Whether it be death threats or threats of assassination of character.

Near the end of his life, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. felt cornered and under siege. His opposition to the Vietnam War was widely criticized, even by friends. He was being pressured both to repudiate the black power movement and to embrace it. Some of his lieutenants were urging him to jettison his urgent new campaign to uplift the poor, believing that King had taken on too much and was compromising support for the civil rights struggle.

Syrian dictator Bashar Assad's brother-in-law is suspected of engineering the assassination of Hizbullah's operations officer Imad Mughniyeh, according to a report Saturday in Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Siasa ("Politics"). The suspicions against the man, Colonel Wasef Shweikat, surfaced after his wife, Bashar Assad's sister Bushra, relocated to Paris with her children following the assassination. The move followed a split between Bashar and Bushra, which began when Mugniyeh informed Bashar of a plot against his regime. The paper said Shweikat met with a senior American intelligence officer in...
