Art lovers are being warned of upsetting content before they enter the new William Blake exhibition at the Tate Britain. William Blake at the Tate Britain features 300 of his original prints and paintings in the largest collection of his work for nearly 20 years. Britain’s Prince Harry appealed on Monday in a national park in Malawi for increased global efforts to protect the environment against “greed, apathy and selfishness”. “This may well sound hippy to some, but we cannot afford to have a ‘them or us’ mentality. Humans and animals and their habitats fundamentally need to co-exist or within the next 10 years our problems across the globe will become even more unmanageable.” Harry, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth, also guest-edited National Geographic magazine’s Instagram account on Monday to encourage people worldwide to appreciate the value of trees, Buckingham Palace said. In a campaign...

The role of Ohio’s formidable run of early U.S. presidents in establishing many of the nation’s lasting White House customs — from the frolicsome Easter Egg Roll to the presidential war room — is explored in a new history exhibition running through late December... “We’ve tried to find fun facts and things that aren’t common knowledge.” Like the start of the official presidential egg roll under President Rutherford B. Hayes and his wife, Lucy, in 1878. Or the role of President Benjamin Harrison’s wife, first lady Caroline Harrison, in placing the first White House Christmas tree in 1889 and initiating...

When Eve, a 15-year-old from Maryland saw Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka speaking at the Republican National Convention in 2016, she immediately took a liking to her. CNN’s Jake Tapper is many things. He’s a TV man, a person who says words in public. He owns multiple suits. He is overly concerned about people being mean to him on Twitter. That last point is relevant because Tapper has put aside his fear of getting mildly criticized in a public forum in order to flex his art skills by drawing today’s “Dilbert.” The text of the comic was, as ever, written by nth-dimensional-chess genius Scott “the Brain” Adams, and the original will be auctioned off to benefit a veterans’ charity.

While congratulating the council for the pretty drawing, Facebook user Hamir Habeed Mohd questioned the relevance of the drawing with Taiping. “Is the character a Taiping born? The plane landed in Taiping? The woman married a local or died there? Don’t tell me just because she refilled her petrol here it became a historical matter?” he asked. He further questioned why a local figure was not highlighted instead. “There are many other historical matters than could have been highlighted.” Sharing the same sentiment, another user by the name of Simon Chin questioned the reasoning behind the mural of Earhart when...
