A neighbor apprehended an 18-year-old man at gunpoint Sunday after police say he attempted to burglarize a Sherwood Drive home. Police say Antione Garret, 34, and his girlfriend awoke to the sound of someone breaking into their home on Leybourn Avenue. JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A man in Bassfield is dead, shot at least 10 times by a store owner he was allegedly trying to rob. Investigators say the owner, who was shot during the incident, was taken to Forrest General Hospital for surgery and is expected to recover. LeRobert Young of Bassfield, born in 1978, was pronounced dead at the scene.
