  • How many illegals will flood across the border based on Jeb Bush winning the GOP Primary?

    03/20/2015 5:39:37 PM PDT · by ObamahatesPACoal · 24 replies
I think opponents of Jeb Bush should work out some figure they can throw around that is realistic. From July 2016 - January 2017 maybe 100000, 200000, 500000 or maybe 1 million illegals will cross the border if Jeb wins the nomination. Maybe only 50,000. Probably a worse message than Clinton winning the general, because it is already established the Dem candidate will be open borders and that there is no opposition anywhere to it.

“I have a biology degree, okay?”– Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), in remarks at the Lincoln Labs “Reboot Congress” conference, Feb. 12, 2015This column has been updated with an additional explanation by Paul’s spokesman. We first spotted a version of this quote in a Bloomberg column by David Weigel, and then checked the quotes with our colleague Jose DelReal, who had attended the conference. This is a bit of an odd one, given that Paul does not have a college undergraduate degree. The Facts Paul mentioned his alleged degree at the conference not once, but twice. First, in an exchange with TechCrunch founder Michael...

Glenn Beck says he is no longer a member of the Republican Party. “I’ve made my decision — I’m out," Beck said on his radio show Wednesday, according to Mediaite.com. "I’m out of the Republican Party. I am not a Republican; I will not give a dime to the Republican Party. I’m out.” The former Fox News host and founder of the Blaze supported the GOP during the last election cycle but has become disillusioned with the party in recent years over what he believes was its failure to stand up to the Obama administration — specifically, the Affordable Care...

A federal judge sharply scolded a Justice Department attorney at a hearing on President Obama's immigration executive actions, suggesting that the administration misled him on a key part of the program and that he fell for it, "like an idiot." The testy court hearing was held Thursday in Texas by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen. The judge suggested he could order sanctions against the administration if he finds they indeed misrepresented the facts. snip A flustered Hartnett repeatedly apologized to Hanen for any confusion related to how the reprieves and work permits were granted. A federal judge threatened Thursday to sanction the Justice Department if he finds that government lawyers misled him about the rollout of President Obama’s plan to shield up to 5 million people from deportation. U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen, visibly annoyed, confronted a U.S. deputy assistant attorney general over previous government assurances on the timing of the program. He asked why he shouldn’t grant a discovery request for internal federal immigration documents — a request filed Thursday by 26 states that are suing over Obama’s executive actions on immigration. Hanen ordered a freeze on the Obama plan on Feb....

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — The U.S. Government lied to a federal judge, misrepresented facts and illegally gave 100,081 illegal aliens immigration status despite a pending lawsuit and an injunction. That is the argument that attorneys representing Texas and more than two dozen other states made. During the heated court hearing Andrew Hanen, a U.S. District Court Judge, said that the apparent violation had made him look like an idiot since he initially believed the U.S. Government. In a heated court hearing Angela Colmonero from the Texas Attorney General’s office stated that Texas had acted promptly in November 2014 upon learning of...

He is a liberal, who has written for Newsweek, The Washington Monthly, and used to blog at Salon under the title "Kausfiles." In 2004, he expressed dissatisfaction with John Kerry, but still endorsed him and contributed to his campaign. (VIDEO-AT-LINK) Conservative kingpin goes head-to-head with president. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, opened a Senate hearing into amnesty Thursday with a broadside against President Obama, effectively calling him an “emperor.” The senator, who is chairing the subcommittee hearing, began by noting the Obama himself had admitted 22 times that he had no legal authority to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. Cruz quoted the president’s own words on the subject, when Obama had declared, “I am not an emperor.” Sadly, the senator noted, things changed after the November election, when, somehow, “He achieved the power of an emperor.” Cruz is chairing the...

This is not a post about being right. Politics is not just about being right and it never has been. The way things work in a representative democracy is that you not only have to BE right, you have to convince a critical mass of other people in this country that you are right, otherwise being right will do you no good. Is it right to shut down the federal Department of Education? Probably. (SNIP) Personally, I’m glad Eric Cantor lost. Personally, although I’m broadly in favor of immigration reform (depending on the particulars), I think it would be suicide...

Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker—a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate—needs to be vetted. She also says Walker’s “problems” run much deeper than the decision to hire—then quickly let go of—pro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa. “Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative,” Malkin said in an email. "What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global...

One of the most admirable things about Europe is that most (if not all) of the right-wing rhetoric that you hear in the US is explicitly against the law there. For example, attempting to link Islam with terrorism, saying that gay marriage isn’t really marriage, or saying that trans women aren’t really women would get you charged with discrimination and/or incitement to hatred. Numerous European public figures have been charged with hate crimes for implying that large-scale immigration is connected to higher crime. In fact, a politician in Sweden was prosecuted for hate crimes for posting statistics about immigrant crime...

Free housing will soon be available for DREAMers—illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children—attending the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA). The Dream Homes initiative, the latest project by nonprofit organization Sand2Pearl, will provide rent-free housing to undocumented UTPA students in South Texas. The home, located within walking distance to UTPA’s campus, will open in August and house seven undocumented students during the 2015-2016 academic year. “The number of Dreamers who will benefit in August will be seven, but the students who will ultimately benefit will be countless," Sarah Chavez, executive director of Sand2Pearl, told NBC News.
