I've tried several of my favorite sites and they are down right now, including Amazon. Freerepublic and facebook are up, however.

Has anyone else been having problem with no cursor bar Free republic cursor bar? If page is minimized and then enlarged it does show

Am needing some thoughts from my fellow brothers or sisters that are computer savvy. Am running a HP envoy laptop. OS is Linux Mint. It has some how put me in guest mode... Never seen this happen and I can't seem to get back to standard mode. Any tips are greatly appreciated as I am not overly computer literate. Thank you in advance! Founded

Fair warning: Do NOT update passwords until advised by FR admins that the site is back to normal. After seeing the raft of posts, I believe that the server was either mirrored or hijacked. I just now recalled that about an hour or so ago my screen header said 'sign in'. I hit refresh a couple of times and didn't pay any attention to it. I now believe that those who signed in exposed their accounts.

I can't get into anything Google: mail, Youtube, translate, etc. I looked at the settings in chrome and it said that google.com was blocked but I don't see how to unblock it. I don't think it's a chrome setting because it doesn't work on any browser. My default browser is Brave. I use Kaspersky for virus protection. Is this a firewall problem? A Windows 10 problem? It just started yesterday.

Think mods are e not treating twitter as they should.

Until recently, my biggest problem with Comcast internet was being frequently disconnected. However, I am now noticing that even when you are connected, Comcast often has painfully slooooooow speed. Anybody else have these connections.

Fellow FR's, I need your help. I purchased a used lap top and was trying to add restricted sites, under Internet Explorer, but it's asking me for the administrator pass word. Trouble is, the previous owner forgot what the IE password was, (a friend and yes the lap top purchase was legit. He had all the other passwords). I was thinking that perhaps I could delete the file that contained the password or do a program remove and then add IE back in (but I'd like to avoid the latter procedure if possible) Anyone have any ideas or help.
