  • Sarah Palin just made a covert Declaration Of War

Ever notice? When she’s angry, she starts talking a little faster, her eyes lids narrow a tad, and she talks through lips that are a bit closer together – and that faint frown of hers becomes almost permanent, yet a smile remains. She displayed all of those signs today. She didn’t say it in so many words, but if I don’t miss my bet, Sarah Palin just declared all-out war on the left – and believe me, she can wage that war like no other – as has been well demonstrated. No, she’s not about to run off into seclusion...

A Darwinist Religious Experience Described April 11, 2009 — As millions of Jews just completed Passover, and as millions of Christians gather to celebrate Easter, a Darwinist reporter was experiencing “existential vertigo” – a sweeping sense of dizziness as her imagination zoomed in and out of the implications of her faith. It may be the closest thing that a secular materialist can call a religious experience. And religious experience is an accurate description: it was the outworking of an all-encompassing world view, with ultimate causes, ultimate destinies, moral imperatives, and heavy doses of faith. Amanda Gefter (see her previous attack...

I know we have had several calls for boycotts of papers and of MSM stations, and those calls have extended to boycotting of advertisers. I am wondering if we had a place to post those advertisers we are targeting in an organized way, as well as a place to post an alternative to the product/company being advertised, it might have more impact on the advertisers and be easier for us remain in an active boycott of a product. I don't post many vanities, this may be my second on in 3 years. Sorry if it's annoying.

Alexis de Tocqueville wrote, in ‘Democracy in America’: [The principle of equality prepares men for government that] covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic character cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent and guided … Such a power … stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd ... Frankly I am really disgusted with the horrible analysis by the Fox News "round table" of pundits. 1. They set McCain up before he ever debates by assuming that he is down by some large amount, which isn't true in all of the polls. So therefore he needs a "knockout", which who the heck knows what that is. 2. If these idiots were actually truly following this race and providing good analysis they should have said that while McCain did not score a "knockout" he should have both pleased his base and possibly opened some new attack fronts with the...

After the debate was over, the "conservative" pundits immediately trashed McCain. This was followed by Frank Luntz, who declared that is focus group idiots loved Obama (of course Luntz also said Palin was the knockout debate winner and McCain would surge in the polls after her debate). This is supposed to be the conservative network? I switched over to PBS, and Clarence Page was giving more credit to McCain's performance than the Fox pundits. Same on CNN.

This ridicules interview with Feinstein and Lott is exactly why Democratic talk radio will get no where. People know when representatives are lying and obfuscating issues. Diane Feinstein’s prefab talk to filter everything into a Democratic talking point during this Wallace interview is aggravating, off-point, and arrogant. She thinks the masses do not understand the issues or read the bills. She’s wrong! That’s where arrogance can lead to demise. Diane Feinstein is a perfect example. Yes, certainly some of it has been very funny. Often there's a deep dish of irony served. Yes, even today’s American socialists, with their demand for equality of result (except for themselves – their personal fortunes and high status are somehow in their minds exempt from the demands of equal impoverishment they make of others) see themselves as embodying the best of Jefferson, Madison, and Paine. There is absolutely no chance that the Democrats can win back the congress in 2006. That’s what this essay is about. If you think otherwise, you’re fooling yourself. It is time to stop even talking about a Democrat take over as a real possibilty because the energy and time involved would be much better used thinking about how to take more seats from the minority party. Last Labor Day I posted an essay describing the insurmountable problems the Democrats will face next year and in 2008, as they set about trying to re-take power.
