Alex Rodriguez isn’t done apologizing for his use of steroids during an impressive 23-year MLB career. Jumping from the Fox Sports booth, where he works as a baseball analyst, to the stage for a one-on-one interview with Joe Buck, Rodriguez explained what was going through his mind when MLB suspended him for the 2013-14 season for his role in the Biogenesis scandal. Playing for the Yankees at the time under the most lucrative contract in baseball, Rodriguez was accused of receiving HGH from Anthony Bosch’s Biogenesis of America, the infamous anti-aging clinic in Florida. “Yeah, I mean there’s so many...

Congressman Pete King (R-NY) supports the Yankees’ refusal to celebrate as Alex Rodriguez approaches a historic baseball milestone, pulling within two home runs of Willie Mays on the career home runs list. “I think they’re right, because it’s obvious that so many of his home runs were tainted,” King told TMZ Sports. “I think it would be wrong to be celebrating ... since for all we know, hundreds of those home runs probably occurred when he was taking steroids." Rodriguez, who is not in the lineup for Thursday's afternoon game against the Tigers, has hit 658 dingers compared with Mays’...

A new book about New York Yankees' third baseman Alex Rodriguez's use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his career includes revelations about another sports superstar: Tiger Woods. Released Tuesday, Blood Sport: Alex Rodriguez, Biogenesis and the Quest to End Baseball’s Steroid Era, co-authored by Tim Elfrink of the Miami New Times and Gus-Garcia Roberts of Newsday, claims that the Canadian sports doctor Anthony Galea who treated Rodriguez also visited Woods 14 times between January and August 2009 and charged Woods a total of $76,012 as he recovered from knee surgery following his 2008 U.S. Open victory. Previous reports had identified only...

... The ruling, issued by arbitrator Frederic Horowitz, is a reduction from the 211-game suspension Rodriguez was handed by MLB commissioner Bud Selig back in August, but it’s still the longest drug-related suspension in MLB history. For the 38-year-old Rodriguez, it means the loss of an entire season and $25 million in salary. The Yankees will gain $27.5 million worth of salary relief for luxury tax purposes, since the average annual value of his deal is what counts there. That will aid the team’s attempt to get below the $189 million threshold to reset their luxury tax rate, but it...

“What do you mean, there’s gambling going on here; I didn’t know there was gambling going on; round up the usual suspects,” said the “Casablanca” police chief to Humphrey Bogart. This paraphrase of bewilderment on steroids comes to mind in the A-Rod debacle. The 1919 Chicago Black Sox scandal is no longer MLB’s most famous outrage, and the news boys will have to ask that iconic “Say It Ain’t So, Joe,” question all over again. “Shoeless” Joe Jackson’s written confession still is gone missing, and the Windy City is no longer numero uno in baseball’s wall of shame. The A-Rod,...

    one man's opinion.....
Embattled NY Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez, facing the threat of a lifetime ban from baseball, and the loss of some $100 million left on his contract, just held an emotional press conference to announce that he was in fact transgendered, and was taking drugs supplied to him by Tony Bosch of Biogenesis, to prepare for a sex change operation after the season.

A Canadian sports doctor whose high-profile clients have included Tiger Woods and Alex Rodriguez pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to bringing unapproved drugs, including human growth hormone, into the United States to unlawfully treat pro athletes. Dr. Anthony Galea, a healing specialist from Toronto who was sought out by the biggest names in sports, was indicted by a federal grand jury in October on charges that he smuggled human growth hormone and other substances into the United States and lied to border agents to avoid getting caught. He faces similar charges in Canada.

New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez is in the news again, this time for reasons having nothing to do with Cameron Diaz or baseball. It seems A-Rod has purchased a spiffy condo in a building newly constructed in Manhattan. The building’s developers took advantage of New York’s 421a program, which is designed to both encourage new construction and provide affordable housing. In exchange for constructing a new building on vacant or under-used land and creating affordable housing in the outer boroughs, developers get their real estate taxes on the improvements phased in over a period of years—in this case, ten.......

With St. Louis Cardinals star Albert Pujols hitting his 400th career homer and Alex Rodriguez having recently reached the 600-homer mark, now is a great time for a guy who served up a homer to each slugger to compare and contrast the two future Hall of Famers:

The drought is over - Alex Rodriguez finally hit his 600th home run. More than two weeks after A-Rod cracked his last homer, the Yankee slugger socked a pitch by Shaun Marcum of the Toronto Blue Jays in the first inning of Wednesday's game into the center field of Yankee Stadium - and into history. A big grin creasing his face as he circled the bases, Rodriguez got a standing ovation from the fans and big hugs from his teammates. Yankee fans shared in Rodriguez' joy. "It's well deserved," said Joel Garcia, 20, of The Bronx. "He's such a good...

Give David Wells credit. He makes the world an interesting place. At Yankee Stadium today as a TBS analyst for the YanksNew York Yankees -Twins game - on the 11th anniversary of his perfect game against the Twins, Wells held nothing back before the game in a chat with the media. In a nutshell: steroid users should be banned immediately on a permanent basis once uncovered; Alex RodriguezAlex Rodriguez home runs that he hit while using steroids should not count; and abusers could be banned from the Hall of Fame. And Boomer related he saw Clemens at a golf tournament...
  • A-Rod leaves Madonna for A-Rod (MUST SEE SICK PHOTO)

[YOU HAVE TO SEE THE PHOTO! LOL! SICK!]Based on the really strange photos in the April issue of Details magazine, Alex Rodriguez has found his one true love. And it turns out to be none other than Alex Rodriguez. Now we realize this guy has never been mistaken for a genius. And we realize that some people think Madonna looks like she’s been rode too hard and put away wet (did that line reveal too much about the childhood years we spent on the farm?). And we realize the baseball season is long and arduous and a man can get...

“Obama’s Unscreened Town Hall Audience Is Clean Break From Bush’s Supporters-Only Public Events” — headline, liberal “Think Progress” website No Republicans in Orange County? Guess not. What used to be the most Republican of strongholds in California sounded more like a one-man Jonas Brothers concert when Pres. Obama staged a supposed “town hall” today. View—no—listen to the clip I’ve edited of the crowd reaction. Not only did they cheer like a bunch of giddy 12-year old girls. At one point they broke into an “O-BA-MA!” chant. When’s the last time you heard that at a “town hall”? Cheering, chanting, standing-Os...

You know Katie Couric and her CBS Evening News have some serious problems when they become the butt of sports-talk mockery . . . On his ESPN show this afternoon, the acerbic Jim Rome raked Alex Rodriguez for seeking career advice from Couric. JIM ROME: Katie Couric says that while she was trying to line up an interview with Alex Rodriguez back in ‘07, he actually asked her what she thought that he should do about his contract: quote, what team do you think I should play for? . . . Katie Couric? I mean, judging from her ratings, she...

A-Rod should be banned for life from baseball for steroid use. Alex Rodriguez has done irreparable damage to the sport of baseball. Pete Rose was banned from the game for life for gambling on baseball. Do you think Pete Rose's gambling or A-Rod's steroid use had a larger impact on the outcome of any particular game of baseball? There is no proof that Pete Rose's bad habit ever affected a baseball game. We know what kind of effect steroid use has on an athlete's performance. When you correlate Alex Rodriguez's steroid use with his records and outstanding seasons, you can...

To my Conservative Friends: I digress for a day from discussing Conservative issues and liberal tooling to comment on the steroid use in baseball and how it has destroyed the legacy of our great game... Unless you have just emerged from under a rock somewhere, you know that the best player in the game, Alex Rodriguez, just admitted that he used banned substances between the years 2001 and 2003. In a very emotional interview yesterday with respected baseball man Peter Gammons, A-Rod almost broke down several times as he copped to his transgressions and apologized several times to the fans...

  • Roids vs Pot: Alex Rodriguez vs Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps takes a hit from a bong in the above picture and his world turns into a soap opera. Because of the infamous picture seen above, Phelps now has lost endorsements like Kelloggs and Subway, which did take Phelps back after his official apology. He’s also been suspended for 3 months from swimming competitions. We think it’s funny that Subway would even consider dropping Phelps knowing that they help fend off the munchies for stoners nationwide. That’s why the Meatball Subs are so popular. Now we see that Alex Rodriguez is being outed for testing positive for steroids in...
