  • Hillary is a Bad BET for African Americans

Once again, BET (Black Entertainment Television) hosted their annual awards ceremony Sunday night, and, once again it turned political. During the show, various speakers, award winners and hosts used their platforms to encourage support for Hillary Clinton and to castigate Donald Trump. It might be useful to ask all of these entertainers what has Hillary Clinton done for the black community? She has supported policies that have led to a doubling of the federal debt, more U.S. involvement in foreign wars, and unleashed the significant threat of Islamic terrorism. None of these positions have done anything positive for African Americans....

Austin private equity firm Clear View Group has purchased two iconic African American lifestyle magazines from Chicago-based Johnson Publishing in a sale that took place in May, according to the Chicago Tribune. Ebony, a periodical that has reflected the lives of African Americans since 1945, was a notable influence and observer during the civil-rights movement of the 1960s. Historical images of subjects such as the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali and Lena Horne were not part of the sale. Jet magazine has transformed from print to digital only.

Donald Trump is straightforward, direct and brutally honest, a man who weighs up a situation and will give you the facts. Perhaps that is why so many people are afraid. There has been a lot of controversial statements about Trump and his displeasure of immigrants, especially Africans. Not so, Trump has consideration and affection toward other races. In a recent video, Trump said, “look at my African-American over here” and raised decent opinions about the man. Therefore, even though he might appear to have a distinct dislike for Africans, Trump does realize that they too are human. However, I would...

WASHINGTON - A dream for 100 years, the National Museum of African American History and Culture promises to become an instant favorite when it opens Sept. 24, its soaring spaces and magical views of the Mall a fitting setting for its tale of African-American history and achievement. Museum officials offered a sneak peek last week at the 400,000-square-foot museum, the 19th of the Smithsonian Institution, that’s next to the Washington Monument. President Obama is expected to cut the ribbon on the dramatic space, which features layers of galleries focused on slavery, segregation and the civil rights movement as well as...

Black Trump supporter Mason Weaver went on with Trish Regan on FOX Business Network to discuss the proposed $20 bill with Harriett Tubman and Barack Obama’s failed economic policies... Mason Weaver: ...I don’t have, live on a plantation. What Donald Trump will do for taxpayers will help white taxpayers and black taxplayers. He will help black workers and white workers. I want Trump because what he’s going to do for America...
  • Many Clinton Supporters Have Stockholm Syndrome

Stockholm syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors. Let’s face it. To a large degree minorities, immigrants, gays and women are captives to liberal policy which provides no legitimate or strategic advantage to any of these groups of people. In fact, it harms them. It’s very troubling to watch black voters support Hillary Clinton, effectively handing her primary victories in states with large ethnic populations. Do these voters not realize that the very jobs and benefits they think she will bring their way...

GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson told Politico on Tuesday that it is “a bit of a stretch” for President Barack Obama to claim he identifies with the experience of black Americans, because “he was raised white.”“He was raised white,” Carson said of Obama. “Many of his formative years were spent in Indonesia. So for him to claim that he identifies with the experience of black Americans I think is a bit of a stretch.”During an interview with Politico’s “Off Message” podcast, Carson said he was “proud that we broke the color barrier” when Obama was elected, but Obama’s experience...

Donald J. Trump, looking to amass as many votes as possible in the South Carolina primary, is increasingly trying to appeal to the state's black voters. In doing so, he appears to hope that any memory of his 2011 demand to see the birth certificate of the nation's first black president is a distant one... "You look at African-American youth -- I mean, 58 percent unemployment." "We have an African-American president and he has not done anything for the African-Americans in this country, and he got a free pass and he shouldn't have," Mr. Trump said... "You look at African-Americans...

It seems not a week goes by without hearing about the death of an African-American at the hands of law enforcement. Tamir Rice, Eric Harris, Walter Scott, Jonathan Ferrell, Sandra Bland, Samuel DuBose, Freddie Gray -- the names would be a blur except they represent real people whose lives have ended needlessly. As a 51-year-old African-American male who was born and raised in Houston Gardens, I’ve seen more than my share of violence in our communities. Actually, I’ve seen more than my share because I’m a bail bond agent and run the family business founded by my father 27 years...

Hard-working UMaine senior named McDonald's 'Crew Person of the Year' By Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN Staff Feb. 15, 2016, at 5:47 p.m. OLD TOWN, Maine - It's not easy to surprise Lee Jackson. The local McDonald's employee, who also is a University of Maine senior and Old Town school board member, arrived at work early Monday only to find several dignitaries and relatives waiting at the restaurant to take part in a ceremony in which he would be named a national Crew Person of the Year. "You were early. That doesn't surprise me," U.S. Sen. Susan Collins told Jackson, as he...

ABC’s “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg has joined fellow “View” co-host Raven-Symoné in rejecting the extremely racist term “African-American”. “You know what uh uh! This is my country,” Goldberg said. “My mother, my grandmother, my great-grand folks, we busted ass to be here. I’m sorry. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American, I’m not a chick American, I’m an American!”

The Hollywood liberals who give Academy Awards to their friends got called out for their lack of diversity this week. It seems this year the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences couldn't find a single actor of color worthy of an Oscar nomination for a lead or supporting role. Its 6,000-odd members went 0 for 20 in their search. For the second straight year. Have Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Will Smith, Morgan Freeman, Don Cheadle, Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding Jr., Djimon Hounsou, Forest Whitaker, Octavia Spencer, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Halle Berry and Queen Latifah taken...

Once again the Bizzaro world, perpetual grievance rantings of the Left's collective inner child doesn't disappoint. Breaking news: The Oscars are racist. Riiiiiiiiight, said the prophet Nipsy Russell. Because if the Oscars are racist, then I'm starring in the sequel to Brokeback Mountain. Yet there it is, and for the second year of race-based fist-shaking in a row. USA Today catalogued the most recent cinematic holocaust thusly: "Once again, the Oscar nominations are marked by a glaring lack of diversity. All 20 slots in the four major acting categories went to white actors when the nominations were announced in Hollywood...

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia ran headlong into the leftist meat grinder by questioning whether college admission of blacks with academic achievement levels significantly lower than the rest of the student body is beneficial to blacks. His question came up during oral arguments in Fisher v. University of Texas, wherein the court will rule whether the use of race in college admission decisions violates the 14th Amendment's guarantee of "equal protection of the laws" to all citizens. Justice Scalia's questions generated news headlines such as "Justice Scalia Suggests Blacks Belong at 'Slower' Colleges," "Scalia questions place of some black...

New poll shows billionaire solidifying support! Editor's Note: This is another in a series of reports on the polling by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio, for WND.com. Pundits might point to billionaire Donald Trump's huge lead in the GOP presidential primary race as being the result of his generally anti-Washington, anti-government, anti-establishment, anti-politically correct attitude. If so, it's not just whites who are ticked at the bureaucracy, but minorities too. Because a new poll, which still has Trump leading the race, shows 40 percent of blacks are lining up behind Trump, as are 45 percent...

Americans are kind of at ease ignoring our neighbors to the north. Sure, we pay attention during the Olympic Games there or during the election of a new prime minister with Olympic-quality hair. We tune in when there's a mayor with epic problems. But for the most part, Canada is just a country that's up there, with which we have few problems and do a lot of trade. But last week, one American went further. Much, much further.

The US is in the midst of a barbecue boom. But as television programmes and restaurants celebrate mostly white pitmasters, are the cuisine's African-American roots being forgotten?... ...the Brantleys have enjoyed a great deal of success with their traditional St Louis-style barbecue. There are lines out the door, as well as accolades from both local and national media... But things aren't as good as they used to be. Daryle once had three locations and sold the sauce bottled at local supermarkets - today he only has the original shopfront. The decline happened as factory jobs left St Louis and the...

This month, Ta-Nehisi Coates published Between the World and Me, a powerful collection of essays written in the form of letters to his teenage son. The book is a sensation on the left, and it is full of rage and even hate. Rather than write a conventional review of the book, I thought I’d respond with my own letter, written to my seven-year-old African-American daughter. Dearest Naomi, So far, it’s the small moments that are hard to explain. Like this summer, when we walked past a young black man in Manhattan. He was frustrated. Cab drivers were zooming past...

If you have ever witnessed one of those “spontaneous” pro-abortion demonstrations held in Washington whenever Congress contemplates curtailing taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, you may have noticed that there was something missing—African-American demonstrators. This is odd, considering that black women are far more likely to have abortions than are their Caucasian counterparts. And, examined in light of the now infamous video of a white Planned Parenthood official discussing how to crush a baby without damaging marketable livers and other organs, it is particularly ominous. Why? Because the terminated baby will probably have been black, and that is no coincidence. Am...

NAACP leader of Washington state chapter lied about being black, parents say BY JASON SILVERSTEIN An NAACP leader and prominent civil rights activist in Washington state has been pretending to be black for years, her parents told local media Thursday. Rachel Dolezal, who heads Spokane’s NAACP chapter and teaches Africana studies at Eastern Washington University, refused to directly answers any questions about her alleged racial ruse after it was reported. A KXLY reporter bluntly asked her, “Are you African-American?” After a stunned pause, she replied: "“I don’t understand the question."
