The woman killed by a Salem police officer Friday night died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. State Medical Examiner Dr. Karen Gunson conducted the autopsy on Jacklynn Rashaun Ford, officials said in a release. The officer was chasing a suspect through a backyard when the officer claims the young puppy charged at him. He claimed he fired two shots because he feared for his life. A Michigan couple is furious after police shot and killed their 10-month-old lab-pit bull puppy in their own backyard. Bianca Alakson and Ryan Showalter said their dog, Rock, was in their backyard Sunday morning when police began chasing a suspect through their Redford Township neighborhood, WDIV-TV reported. HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A Hampton police officer shot an aggressive dog Friday while responding to a call about a stolen moped. According to the Hampton Police Division, the officer responded to the 1200 block of Pansy Street around 9 p.m. The person who called about the moped was walking with his unleashed dog toward the officer.
