The Lost City, The Lost Patrol and now the Lost Walter Reed Rallies. With the BIG 9/11Walter Reed Rally and the HUGH Tea Party 9/12 March closely following these two weeks at Walter Reed, the After Action Reports were lost. They have been recovered from our archives for your pleasure. WEEK 226, August 14 Patriots attending this week include Lurker Bill, BufordP, Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, Jimmy Valentines Brother, Sensei Ern, [Mrs] Trooprally and me. Walter Reed, Week 244, 12/18/09 T’was the Friday Before Christmas Santa Arrives at Walter Reed FRONT GATE NOTES T’was the Friday Before Christmas and Santa joined the DC Chapter in Supporting the Troops and their Families. This past Friday night saw the beginning of what the lame stream media is now calling the great Blizzard of ’09. It began during our Support the Troops Friday night rally and ended early Sunday morning leaving 21 inches on the ground. But it didn’t scare the DC Chapter of Free Republic away from its 244th consecutive Friday night at the front gates of Walter...

As shown in Weeks 203 & 204's AAR, we had the Navy flag up this Saturday. And it looks as good this AAR as in yesterday's AAR. BELOW: Our NEW Navy flag. Before the Air Force and Coasties complain, we would be more than pleased to put up your branch’s flag. Just FRmail me for our address. With the new traffic light configuration we’ll have more traffic poles to attach your flag to it. With our group mainly being associated with the Marines and Army, their flags got the prime space. We didn’t want to put your flags on the...

WEEK 202: NOV. 21,2009 The MAC is BACK, the iMacMan that is. iMacMan is someone I consider a “cold weather FReeper”. His retirement keeps him away from Olney during the warmer months. While iMacMan didn’t bring his cameras today, he takes some of the best pictures of our passing supporters that I know of. And then the edits he does are great. To those who know cameras, I do not, he sets his cameras on wide lens and then with one push of the button, gets 6 frames shot. BELOW: Several of iMacMan’s neat pictures. Did I forget to mention...

Nope, you did not miss Weeks 202 and 203. This Saturday’s Support the Troops Rally was so neat that I had to do it now. While our snowy Saturday morning is nothing compared to what the mid-west or northeast is getting, we were out there. Roll call of this week’s 7 patriots includes Legionnaires Halsey (Korea - USMC), Lurker Bill and Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, [Mrs] Trooprally and myself. Videos by [Mrs] T. Because of the weather conditions, and the construction removing the concrete walk where we put together our banners on wet days, we only put up the flags on...

Sarah Palin brought a taste of the Alaska winter with her to a Saturday book signing at the BJ's Wholesale Club in Fairfax. After alternating between drizzle and rain for much of the night Friday, snow flurries began in earnest about 8:30 a.m. "I wanted to feel like I was at home" Palin said, as she walked into the store while the first snowfall of the season soaked a crowd of about 2,000 people who came to meet her.

PLANO – Sarah Palin, political rock star and self-proclaimed "rogue" of the Grand Old Party, swept into town on Friday. snip "I love Sarah Palin," said Margaret J. Hill, an 88-year-old former pastor from Lucas. "I watch her all the time. I think she's so special." Palin struck a familiar pose, too, looking very much like the folksy yet fashionable presidential candidate her most avid fans hope to see in 2012. Not surprisingly, she didn't say much – at least not out loud, for all the world to hear. In fact, when she started signing books, the folks at the...

Walter Reed, Week 241, 11/27/09 Thanksgiving – Thanking Our Brave Soldiers The Friday After Thanksgiving FRONT GATE NOTES November 27, 2009, Thanksgiving, No Bus and Patriotism Friday night after Thanksgiving is normally quiet with light traffic. Tonight was no different. Very windy, making the hi 40’s seem like the lo 30’s. Even so, eleven of us were in place during the evening. The wind was so stiff that our banners would have blown away, leaving us with signs and hand held flags. The war doesn’t stop though and two big ambulances raced down Georgia Ave and into Walter Reed to...

Got to Valley View Mall at 8:30pm (our drive was about 90 min). Before eating dinner with family at Abuelo's Mexican, decided to swing by the Barnes and Noble. Asked my wife if she thought there'd be a line (the signing was next morning at 10am) -- she said "no way". She was surprised (she's a big Palin fan, but gets her news through me as English is not her first language) -- well there was of course a line of chairs and tents that was already very long. It made our dinner at Abuelo's more hurried than we planned....

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Thousands of people braved a cold, drizzly Monday for a chance to meet former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who was signing copies of her memoir at a Fort Bragg store. Some people camped out overnight, and the line snaked around the North Post-Exchange by the time Palin arrived at 11:15 a.m. The crowd chanted Palin's name when her "Going Rogue" tour bus pulled up outside the PX. "We love Sarah because she's a woman and she's smart," Sandra Harvath said. "She loves this country. I voted for her last time, and I'd vote for...

11:40 a.m.: Palin signs the books at a table near the far left corner of the store, an alcove closed off by metal detectors and security guards. Her father, Chuck Heath, seated to her left, shakes people's hands and asks their names. Palin greets each fan with a quick 'Thank you, thank you' and grasps a hand if a fan offers, her smile barely budging. She rarely glances down at the stream of open books on the table top as she scribbles her loopy "SP" on each one. Barnes & Noble security is starting to bring the standby line inside...

GW University Students Enthusiastically Display Troop Support At Walter Reed FRONT GATE NOTES November 20, 2009, Students, Soldier Hugs and Patriotism A big Shout-Out for the over 33 university students from George Washington University who warmed a brisk Friday evening by waving American Flags at passing cars, chanting USA, USA, USA…. and singing patriotic songs until 8:30pm. Many wounded warriors are about the same age as these students, and seeing university students supporting our military was especially meaningful to the wounded warriors and their families who are constantly coming and going through the front gates. It is an important...

Okay, I realized when I started uploading these that I had left the stupid camera in the video selection so my pictures aren't that great and most showed up as videos, even though I just wanted still shots. I apologize.

I posted photos of Sarah Palin's book signing at the Woodland Mall in MIchigan. Many slept overnight and the crowd was 2,000 by 9am. It is estimated 9,000 to 11,000 fans showed up to see Sarah.

Talk about a political rock star. A crowd estimated at more than 1,500 already had lined up by mid-morning at a Grand Rapids, Mich., bookstore in advance of a 6 p.m. book signing by 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, whose book "Going Rogue" has already become a runaway bestseller -- one day after its release. Die-hard fans of the former Alaska governor traveled from all over the state and began setting up outside a Barnes & Noble store in the city's Woodland Mall at around 9 p.m. last night, hunkering down in 30-degree overnight temperatures to camp out...

Tea Party Express II Tour: IT'S OVER...for now! By Lloyd Marcus My patience was short with the newspaper reporter. I am Lloyd Marcus, singer/songwriter, black conservative activist and participant on the national Tea Party Express II tour; 19 states; 40 rallies. At our final rally in Orlando, Florida, a reporter approached me. She had a "these people are a bunch of nuts" attitude and smirk on her face. Though annoyed, I was polite and refused to answer her questions from a defensive point of view. Approximately 4000 patriots were in attendance. Despite numerous speakers who expressed valid disagreements with the...

Warning from me: This is pretty graphic and is touching at the same time. You may need tissues handy... This was read on the air by J.D. Hayworth, talk show host at KFYI in Phoenix. He received it from an officer that was just about to enter the building at Ft. Hood where the shooting happened. He wanted an accurate account out there since so far there's a lot of different accounts and they've yet to come together into 1 complete version. Here's what he sent to KFYI: First-Hand Account from Ft. Hood Monday 11-09-2009 2:57pm MT Since I don't...

“Don’t you make me come up there!” Dozens of moms from Minnesota sported sweatshirts with a parental threat aimed at Congress that most everyone would recognize. Our elected representatives have done just that — they made us “come up there,” from as far away as California, leaving jobs and families and spending hefty sums to make what Rep. Michele Bachmann called “an emergency house call on Congress.” Bachmann is a rising star in the conservative movement. Like Sarah Palin, Bachmann is a beautiful, articulate mother of five (who’s also cared for 23 foster children over the years). With the mobilizing...

Here is complete video of the Anti-ObamaCare "Tea Party" Rally held today on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Many members of Congress spoke, including organizer GOP Rep. Michelle Bachmann. They were joined by actor Jon Voight, conservative Talk Show Host Mark Levin, and many others who spoke as well. . . . (VIDEO)

During the health care rally today cameras caught a senior citzen being arrested for unlawful entry. Instead of shouting curse words and attacking police these other senior citizens and patriots sing God Bless America. What do you think? Is this an unruly crowd of right wing extremists? (Click for video)*note. This in not my video and that is not my video intro calling the protesters 'unruly.' You tell me.. are these unruly, dangerous, right-wing extremist?

Actor Jon Voight gave a powerful and impactful speech today in Washingon, D. C. Voight, who was joining Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and thousands of citizens to protest Obamacare, gave a patriotic speech that was inspirational, blunt, and sharp in it's criticism of President Obama and his Socialist agenda. Consequently, I'm officially adding Mr. Voight to "Obama's Enemies List" today (see sidebar). Below is the video from Jon Voight's rousing and spirited speech on November 5, in the nation's capital.....

Last night I heard on the radio that my congressman, Artur Davis, had decided to vote against the health-care bill. I had been calling his office, a lot, requesting him to do this. So when I heard that he had committed, I called his office to thank him, and I assured the lady tha answered the phone that I would remember this in his run for governor of Alabama next year. This doesn't mean that I will vote for him in the end, but it does mean that I will give him a fair hearing. And I probably will vote...

Fellow Freepers, I feel almost stupid posting this but I'm having an annoying back-and-forth with a liberal Facebook friend who "can't help but notice" all the OLD WHITE people at today's rally. Can anyone who was there share any shots of -- God help us -- non-white people?

I watched the rally and it seemed like a bunch of Republicans hijacked a conservative movement. The endless stream of Republican politician speakers became boring and sounded disingenuous. I couldn't help but wonder how many of these people have funneled pork back to their districts, were bought off to cast a vote, or slipped something in a bill at the last minute. They sounded like a bunch of self indulgent windbags. I think it was a mistake to let the politicians speak with the exception of Bachmann. They offered nothing of substance. I would have preferred to see the people...

With the help of Steve McGough's mother, Carol, who was in D.C. today to give a report to Jim Vicevich. Taped report on the blog. We’ll try to get some pictures posted in the next two days, but for now you can find images over at Gateway Pundit. I’ve also got the audio posted below from Carol’s (mom’s) live report from the capital steps this morning minutes before the health care rally got started. If you’ve got links to more information and photos, post them in the comments section to share with everyone.

Scozzafava’s departure is a blow to the establishment GOP. But the latest development in upstate New York’s special congressional race also means ‘outsiders’ clearly are viable in US politics. After dramatically dropping behind in three-way polling, embattled New York Republican Dede Scozzafava jumped ship Saturday in the hotly-contested NY-23 congressional election scheduled for Tuesday. That leaves the door wide open for Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, supported by national Republican figures like Sarah Palin and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, to take on Democrat challenger Bill Owens in a head-to-head special election in the historically Republican enclave. Scozzafava “released” her endorsements on...

The group of intelligent patriots swelled to around 100 yesterday, Oct. 30th from 4-6 PM in Roanoke County VA at the intersection of westbound Brambleton Avenue (US221) and Northbound Electric Road (VA 419). In keeping with the upcoming Halloween holiday, one lady dressed as a doctor with a mask and stethoscope. Her sign, with a drawing of a hypodermic syringe, read “Congress Sticks it to America Again.” One gentleman’s sign showed a caldron and a caption of “Obamacare, a Real Witch’s Brew.” The reaction of those drivers passing by who expressed opinions was overwhelmingly positive by about 20 to 1,...

LATEST RALLY DRAWS OVER 1,000+ IN LIBERAL SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA (ON THE ROAD IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA) - Crowds continue to build as the Tea Party Express II: Countdown to Judgment Day (www.TeaPartyExpress.org) gains momentum! Yesterday in the very liberal San Francisco Bay Area, more than 1,000 people turned out to show their support for smaller government, less deficit-spending, and opposition to government-run healthcare. The rally held particular importance as a Special Election for Congress takes place on November 3rd in California's 10th Congressional District. Conservative candidate for Congress, David Harmer, spoke at the event. The Tea Party Express II...

I put together a short video for Janeane Garofalo and all of those in the media who seem to think that disagreeing with Obama makes you a racist. These are just a few of the black American patriots who chose to stand up and exercise their First Amendment rights at tea parties and other various rallies and protests throughout the nation. Are these people racists? Believe it or not, there is a growing movement in this country among blacks who are starting to see that liberal democrats don't represent the values most of them share and do not have their...

It was a beautiful fall day for a protest here in Colorado. Sunny and warm. I'd say there were about 100 protestors in all. It would have been nice to have a larger turnout - just saying. But a good time was had by all. The plan of action was to assemble outside of the local NBC affiliate and then march down to the ABC affiliate down the street. Press coverage of the event was a joke. No surprises there.

One hundred conservative Mainers attended a Tea Party this afternoon in rural Alton, Maine (north of Bangor). Speakers and conversations focused on Maine's referendum laden election in November, Jason Levesque (republican candidate for Maine's Second District), and Paul LeBlanc (republican candidate for governor). There was no obvious press coverage of the event. Although invited, none of Maine's congress critters were in attendance, nor were any of their representatives. There was little, if any, pre-meeting publicity in Maine's mainstream media. In November Maine voters will have the opportunity to affirm that marriage is legally defined as being between one man and...
