Because of the weather the day before, my husband and I waited until the last minute to decide whether or not to go to the DC Taxpayer Tea Party. On Saturday morning, it was overcast and cool so we decided to drive into Silver Springs and take the metro. We found ourselves in the same car with people carrying furled flags. Just wanted to give an after report from the San Jose Tea Party. It started today around 1pm on the corner of Winchester and Steven's Creek. I'd say there were several hundred protestors. Even though the DC protest was much, much, bigger every little bit still helps. I did not see any SRM coverage so all the more reason to cover the one that happened in Phoenix today! Lots of flags and love of country on display . It happened in front of the State Senate. If they continue to ignore us using the first they will eventually see us use the 2nd amendment.

Just got back from a great 9/12 TEA Party. Thanks to OlympiaTeaParty.Com and Ken Morse for organizing this at our state's capital.My estimate is 1500 attended. The only news media apparent was KIRO TV seattle who was there for 20 min,.Most of the speakers talked of health care.A huge cheer went up when one of the speakers was interrupted for an announcement of the Wash DC tea party attendace.The attendees were all having fun and enjoying the gorgeous late summer day.

I can’t make it to Washington DC today for the national 9/12 march, but I’m with all the marchers in spirit. It’s been an unprecedented year for limited government activism. It would never have been possible without the early initiative of grass-roots leaders in the #tcot community on Twitter, Smart Girl Politics #DontGo — and concerned moms like Keli Carender and Amanda Grosserode who stood up in their communities against reckless spending in Washington before anyone was listening. Before the cable news was paying attention. Before it became fashionable for politicians to latch on.

Here is an awesome video showing the progressive gathering of the massive crowd at the 9/12 "Taxpayers March on Washington" today. You can see the U.S. Capitol in the distance, where the massive crowd marched to from Freedom Plaza. The video shows the crowd gradually growing and marching down the street to the Capitol. It is clearly a crowd in the hundreds of thousands if not millions. So far, estimates have ranged from "tens of thousands" to "1.5 - 2 million." . . . (VIDEO)

On September 10, 2009, doctors, nurses and other medical professionals came to Washington, D.C. from across the country to show their opposition to Obamacare. My sister just reported back to me from the doctors' rally in DC this evening. She went with her husband and 3 teenaged daughters. Just got back from the tea party and had a great time. I would guess we had about 2 to 3,000 people. I finally met jim rob at the end. When I received my invitation in the mail from Jim Moran himself that mentioned his Health Care Town Hall would include special guest Howard Dean I knew I had to go. Hundreds of protesters waved signs and railed against big government today in what organizers billed as part of a cross-country tour. Health Care for Americans Now (HCAN) an Acorn affiliated group had scheduled a protest today at St. Anthony's Hospital supporting Obamacare. About ten Tea Party Movement Patriots went to counter protest. The other side never showed up. Hundreds turn out for Tea Party Express in Sparks The Associated Press Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 | 3:10 p.m. More than 500 people turned out for the first stop in Nevada of the cross-country Tea Party Express tour. Friday's stop in Sparks was the first of five the anti-tax tour will make in Nevada through Monday. The tour began in California and is heading east. Similar rallies were planned for today in Winnemucca and Elko, Sunday in Ely and Monday in Las Vegas. Speakers and attendees criticized President Obama and Sen. Harry Reid, and expressed concern over federal government spending.
