New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) on Tuesday released a report detailing how a white supremacist gunman who opened fire at a Buffalo supermarket in May and killed 10 people in a racially motivated attack was radicalized by fringe websites like 4Chan. While Payton Gendron’s online posts and activity were previously known, the attorney general office’s 49-page report offers a deeper examination of what led up to the May 14 shooting, when he shot 13 people at a supermarket in a majority-Black neighborhood on the East Side of Buffalo, N.Y.

Chicago police have launched an internal investigation into a series of incendiary posts by a person claiming to be an officer in an online forum regarded as one of the darkest corners of the web. In a Telegram post shared with her 61,000 followers, Romana Didulo on Wednesday ordered the mass arrests of Peterborough Police officers on August 13. Didulo was detained by Canadian police in November after allegedly encouraging her followers to "shoot to kill" health care workers. The following month, a 42-year-old alleged follower was arrested over threats linked to Didulo's health worker post.

Members of the 4chan online community have allegedly hacked Hunter Biden's iCloud backup data by cracking his iPhone's password on Saturday. Human Events host Jack Posobiec posted July 9 on Twitter, "4chan has apparently cracked Hunter Biden’s iPhone backup password and are leaking everything." The Gazette reports that 4chan users were rapidly posting the alleged contents of Hunter's iCloud account to the forum on Saturday night. Site administrators were rushing to take down or archive the posts as quickly as they went up.
