An Ohio father punished his daughter by making her walk five miles to school in 36 degrees after she was thrown off the bus for bullying. Matt Cox of Swanton said in a Facebook post that his 10-year-old daughter was suspended from the school bus last Friday. This was the second time that she had gotten into trouble for bullying. The young girl told her father that he would have to drive her to school for an entire week.

How an American, an Italian and a Turkish-made triple-barrel shotgun revived America’s premier sporting arms brand. Over the past 142 years, the name Charles Daly has earned its place as one of the most recognizable and respected brands in imported firearms. Mr. Charles Daly and his partners got started in the firearms business in New York City in 1875. By 1889 they renamed the company Charles Daly and a great American shotgun brand was born. Charles Daly didn’t design or manufacture shotguns. Why should he when he knew the best ones were made in Europe by craftsmen with generational experience?...

A Priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local figure and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and to give a little speech at the dinner. However, he was delayed, so the Priest decided to say his own few words while they waited: I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned...

Former Vice President Joe Biden gave the strongest signal yet that he is considering a presidential campaign in 2020, describing himself as the “most qualified” person to fill the role. “I’ll be as straight with you as I can,” Biden told a Montana crowd as he promoted his memoir, Promise Me, Dad. “I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president.” It is an unmistakable shot across the bow, staking his claim to the Democrat party’s nomination.

Actress, former View host, and long-time hater of President Donald Trump Rosie O'Donnell declared Wednesday that Trump should "rot in jail." [Snip] During an October appearance on MSNBC, O’Donnell called Trump “evil” and admitted that she got “physically sick” on election night in 2016. "I actually got physically sick that night. I thought to myself, this cannot be happening," she said. "When he got the nomination, I thought I just have to wait until election day. And then he won. It took a good year to compose myself in public again. I took a year out of the spotlight." The...

Sub-headline: Bush’s tough-on-crime stance in his 1988 campaign has been cited by historians as helping to drive decades of politics low on justice or equity. Inside the National Cathedral in Washington and beyond it on Wednesday, George H.W. Bush was lauded as a courageous and decorous leader, “America’s last great soldier-statesman.” He was described as a loving father, a man with an appreciation for the zany parts of life and, as one columnist put it, the vanishing embodiment of a ruling class of trusted WASPs. snip Bush employed a strategy of subtle stereotyping, playing on suspicion, fear and group-based guilt,...

Whistleblower advocates across the political spectrum condemned an FBI raid on the home of a recognized whistleblower who reported potential wrongdoing surrounding the Clinton Foundation, the Uranium One deal and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The Daily Caller News Foundation, in a bombshell report, detailed how 16 FBI agents raided the home of Dennis Cain, a former employee of an FBI contractor, on Nov. 19. They rummaged through his home for six hours even though he told them that Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz awarded him whistleblower status, according to Cain’s lawyer, Michael Socarras. Horowitz instructed a...

n the weeks before the Miss America competition in September, various factions of the pageant faithful were at war over changes to the traditional Atlantic City event implemented by new pageant leaders. Somehow, the pageant weathered the drama long enough to crown Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin, onstage at Boardwalk Hall. Now, the pageant's internal strife is entering the public arena once again. The Associated Press reports that pageant leaders have terminated the licenses of several state pageants, including the Miss New Jersey pageant. Miss America has already moved to replace the directors of five other state pageants. Now, the...

The government in France put out the word Wednesday night that the fuel tax would be suspended not just for six months, but for all of next year (2019). The leader of the opposition National Rally (former National Front) Marine Le Pen tweeted late Wednesday night that President Emmanuel Macron should pledge on his honor not to reintroduce the tax wit the amended budget in the spring. Whether this apparent concession will help stamp out protests is uncertain. Four have died and hundreds have been injured in the weeks of protests by the "yellow vests" but now high school and...

SEVERANCE, Colo. — A 9-year-old boy has convinced the leaders of a small northern Colorado town to overturn a nearly century-old ban on snowball fights, and he already knows who his first target will be — his little brother. Dane Best, who lives in the often snow-swept town of Severance, presented his arguments at a town board meeting Monday night, and members voted unanimously to lift the ban. "The children of Severance want the opportunity to have a snowball fight like the rest of the world," Best said during his presentation, according to local newspaper The Greeley Tribune. "The law...

Commentary: Canada's CBC is the latest radio outlet to ban "Baby" as offensive. Who to believe — radio programmers, or actual feminists? There is one group, and one group only, that should be crusading against the performance of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” in public: vicious maiden aunts. These treacherous protectors of niece-ly chastity have no coalition in 2018, so far as we’ve heard. (Speak up and say your piece if you’re out there, Auntie Lame Society.). So the campaign against Frank Loesser’s 1940s classic has been left to others — not so much feminists, as rumored, since most who’ve thought...

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tris Pharma, Inc. has voluntarily recalled three (3) lots of Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID) 50 mg per 1.25 mL, to the retail level. The recalled product has been found to potentially have higher concentrations of ibuprofen. The company is warning that there is a possibility that infants may be more vulnerable to permanent NSAID-associated kidney injury because they are more susceptible to a higher potency level of the drug. Side effects are nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or more rarely, diarrhea. Tinnitus, headache and gastrointestinal bleeding are also possible adverse effects. To...

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and his allies are taking new steps toward launching a presidential campaign, including interviews with dozens of potential staffers and hiring a pollster and national fundraiser, according to a person close to the Democrat. He’s already launched a political action committee that allows him to raise money nationally and hired his 2014 campaign manager, Brad Komar, to run it. Since the PAC was formed in September, Komar has done 80 interviews with possible campaign staffers, the person said. Of those, Hickenlooper has conducted or participated in 30 interviews. The operation has hired Democratic veteran Anna Greenberg as...

Seven documented examples of when payments to the Clintons and their foundation coincided with political favors The Clinton Foundation has raised more than $2 billion since its inception in 1997, and Bill and Hillary Clinton have been paid more than $150 million for delivering speeches. Notably, these payments increased dramatically after Hillary Clinton took office as secretary of state in 2009. The tens of millions of dollars that flowed directly to the Clintons or their foundation, from foreign governments or other entities (or “benefactors”) who could benefit from Secretary Clinton’s actions, seem to pose inherent conflicts of interest. The foundation...
