The White House on Sunday shot back at Omarosa Manigault Newman’s secret recording of her dismissal last year, saying it “proves†her “lack of character and integrity.â€Â “The very idea a staff member would sneak a recording device into the White House Situation Room, shows a blatant disregard for our national security – and then to brag about it on national television further proves the lack of character and integrity of this disgruntled former White House employee,†White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Sunday evening.Earlier Sunday Manigault Newman revealed her secret recording of her termination by White House Chief of Staff...

Christian philosopher Cornel West has hit out at Donald Trump in a Q&A panel that focused on freedom of speech and the "right to offend", labelling the US President a "gangster". The panel, which also included Liberal senator Eric Abetz, WA Labor MP Anne Aly, free speech advocate Lindsay Shepherd and "people's panellist" Jeremy Bell, was asked whether Australia was in danger of being "infected" after describing Mr Trump as a symptom rather than the cause of the current situation in the US. Dr West said America was experiencing a decline and that wealth inequality was increasing, and warned the...

meeting with a draft financial audit report. Two journalists who attended the meeting also took the report when they left the meeting. Jeffrey Smith of Dewey Citizens for Accountability arrived at the Aug. 3 meeting minutes before it adjourned. Smith said following the meeting, he left with a copy of TGM’s draft financial report, which was discussed at length during the meeting. Audit committee Chairman Larry Silver approached him after the meeting and insisted he give it back, Smith said. “Larry Silver ran/charged at me across the parking lot demanding I not leave with it,” Smith said in an email....

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem The Gospel of John
(New Testament) John 1 John Testifies About Jesus 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ 31 I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.” 32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down...

The FBI has fired Agent Peter Strzok, who helped lead the bureau’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election until officials discovered he had been sending anti-Trump texts. Aitan Goelman, Strzok’s lawyer, said FBI Deputy Director David L. Bowdich ordered the firing on Friday — even though the director of the FBI office that normally handles employee discipline had decided Strzok should face only a demotion and 60-day suspension. Goelman said the move undercuts the FBI’s repeated assurances that Strzok would be afforded the normal disciplinary process. “This isn’t the normal process in any way more than name,” Goelman...

Dear NFL, I have been a lifelong fan since the age of 10 – That’s more than 50 years…. I have followed many players, and only two teams in my life. The players I have followed have always been the “stand up for the flag” kind of players, I mean it just figures because I was drawn to serve my country – Not because I had to, or because it was my only option. I chose to serve out of nothing more than the pure love of my country. After serving onboard ships for nine years and three years with...

PRO-UNION, STILL FOR TRUMP: As as many as half of Republicans who voted in the Missouri primary last week sided with unions and against the state’s right-to-work law in a ballot measure that overturned it, according to Jack Cardetti, a Democratic strategist and spokesman for the state’s anti-right-to-work campaign. Cardetti is no disinterested party, so that estimate may be high (though the returns show it’s certain plausible). But it’s remarkable any pro-union voters still favor Trump, given Trump’s staunchly anti-union policies. (POLITICO’s Timothy Noah reviewed them in November.) “Pro-union, pro-Trump voters say that even if they consider unions crucial, they...

That long-awaited blue wave Florida Democrats hope will lift them to sweeping victories in the U.S. Congress, Legislature and governor’s mansion has yet to appear in the state’s voter rolls. In fact, with less than 100 days before the Nov. 6 election, Democrats are actually seeing their share of the Florida electorate shrink. The percentage of Democratic voters slipped in Florida, according to final voter registration numbers for the Aug. 28 primary released over the weekend by the state’s Division of Elections

Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard.... ...really bad things. Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said...

Evangelist Alveda King: Oh, Omarosa WASHINGTON - In light of former White House employee Omarosa's new book that accuses President Trump of being out of control of his staff, unstable and dysfunctional - and an array of other allegations, evangelist Alveda King released this statement Monday morning: I've been praying hard about the Omarosa situation. I and a colleague had an opportunity to sit down with her at the White House a few months ago. I also had a few moments to chat with her on the President's Tour of the African American Museum, and had a photo with her...

A passing thunderstorm forced the far-right demonstrators to break down their rally stage in Lafayette Park near the White House prematurely, but as police escorted them from the area, reports of Antifa resistance emerged. Some 200 anti-fascists, many of them wearing black masks, confronted police about a half-mile from the White House as officers shoved them back, The Associated Press reported.

Democratic Socialism is a Scam When I attended a rally with my family in Little Havana for then-Senator Barack Obama in 2007, our old neighborhood greeted both us and the future 44th president as if we were traitors. Older, conservative protestors yelled “Comunistas!” at us from across the Miami-Dade County Auditorium. We brushed off the attacks because we knew they came from understandably traumatized exiles and, to paraphrase the late Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart, as Cuban Americans, we know socialism when we see it. Obama was no socialist. In fact, his message resonated with us, in part, because of...

We await the newspaper reports and shootings statistics with a sense of foreboding. Just how many young men of color were slaughtered on the streets of America’s “Second City” over the past weekend? If we didn’t have such empathy for the victims and families they leave behind, there would be Chicago punchlines galore: Progressive mayor who has made no secret of his disdain for aggressive and proactive policing and a municipality with some of the strictest gun laws in the nation succumbs to gun violence as its “new norm.” Chicago has a population of just over 2.7 million. Last year...

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. -- The dress code for President Trump’s by-invitation meet-and-greet with motorcycle enthusiasts here on Saturday was biker chic -- leather, bandannas and for at least one of the supporters who posed with Trump at the raucous event, sexist and other offensive patches. A bearded man who is part of a New Jersey “Bikers for Trump” group stood with the president as he shook hands inside his posh golf club near here, and again when the group posed for photos outside, engines revving. “I (heart) Guns & Titties,” reads one patch on the unidentified man’s vest. The patch...

VEN (NEW YORK) — “I am like SO HONORED!” an uncharacteristically speechless, self-proclaimed Democratic-Socialist Alexandra Octavio-Cortez told reporters, after accepting The Casey Stengel Award For Public Speaking Excellence at the El Club Cubano Interamericanol in the Bronx Sunday. “You have no idea how special this is to me! Dios Mio! Such a great man! My grandfather used to quote him to me when I was a little girl! And I have a recording of his testimony to the Asamblea Legislativa!

The matches, which can be ignited against most surfaces, are being phased out to make them safer. The controversial EU diktat, which came into force at the end of May, bans the sale of chemicals used to make the matches. Swan Vestas, the best known brand, confirmed its 'strike anywhere' range was being discontinued. The products are being replaced by safety matches, which can only be struck on the strip attached to the packet. Seth Davidson, 44, from Pimlico, south London, attacked the move by branding it "insane". He told the Sunday Times: "There's literally no harm to having 'strike...
