This will be a trying time
Well after a warning I got axed, upon checking the paperwork I found that they used the fact that I "Surfed" a site called Free Republic.Com. While other workers use CNN, MSNBC, all sorts of financial sites, for their daily news, using Free Republic can get you terminated.
Heck of a world isn't it.

Oddly, this seems to be the only thing you ever posted here.

If nothing but surfing FR got you fired, then you didn't need to be there. Obviously a lefty only company.
To: Winston Smith
Wow, that's really bad.
But I doubt they know anything about FR, they probably just look over all the logs and say "you did this and that" in a way to cover their ass.
I'm sure they do the same to people that look at CNN, etc.
Sorry to hear about it. Post some dirt on the company? :)

Couldn't have been the one below it on your boss's list, "www.FreePorn.com", could it?

He's posted before. Just not very recently. The "replies" stop showing up in searches after a week or two, and the articles stop showing in searches when they get moved to the archives.
Using google or an archive search you can find his past posts.

GOOGLE:
"Searched pages from www.freerepublic.com for freerepublic "Winston Smith". Results 1 - 10 of about 104 "
Been around for a while.
Seemed like a decent enough fellow.

Sorry for your misfortune.

We had the same idea :-)
However, only a fraction of those "hits" are this Freeper. The rest seem to be references to the 1984 character from whence the screen name probably came.

Blame Julia. It worked in the book.
