Even if 20 years it is a noble cause. Either way we will have a military and intelligence operation, and it might as well be for keeps rather than practice.

OBL's main concern is Saudi Arabia, not Israel. There are plenty of others that are worried about Isreal though. As long as there is any western presence on 'holy lands' we will have to keep looking out.

IMO, it is far more likely his minions will try to hit power plants, refineries and other targets of necessity.

Through the years, September has been a month singled out for terrorist attacks (or "Middle East" related incidents). The Jordon thing -- the original "Black September," then the Lebanon thing, then the Olympic thing. But the incidents have always been "one-off" things.

If we can judge the future by the past, then I would expect _no_ additional attacks.

Bin Laden doesn't give a rats behind about Israel or the Palestinians. Not until we are out of the way, then they may take out Israel, but until they take us out, they can't do anything. WE ARE THE TARGET!!! NOT ISRAEL!! Not yet anyway...

With a sea of blood on the floor and the locked up flight deck completly unaware of what has taken place in the passinger cabin.

People willing to stand up and account for themselves have been disarmed in our fair country and an airplane with 350 people on it is just too big of a target to pass up.

I agree with you 100%. Today, I read on FNC that the pilots' union is no longer pushing for arming pilots. Big mistake that's going to put millions of lives in jeopardy.

Don't be silly. If we abandon Israel that would be retreating in the face of the enemy, reveal weakness, and will only fuel their efforts to step up the attacks.

Either that or some (relatively) small scale attacks by four-seater private airplanes at airports, sports gatherings, or targets like those you list. Air Force patrols can't stop all of these, especially those that may occur away from large metropolitan areas. An attack on commercial aviation planes on the ground or on takeoff of a plane would completely freak out the population and do a lot more to shut down commerce than an attack on a single installation.

A second attack would also make the peacenik nuts think twice, or would permanently separate them from the majority of the US population who think the terrorists should be eliminated.

I heard on the news earier that not only has the US government put a price on Bin-Laden's head, there are a group of Corporations who have hired MERCENARIES to bring him down....The Taliban have gotta be sh!tting their diapers about now.

My understanding from a friend in D.C. is that Bin Laden is very ill with kidney failure. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm told he's on dialysis. Is that true?
