Ehrmm... just a suggestion, mind, but how about adhering to their decades-long stated public policy emblazoned on so many police vehicles? You know, the mission "To Protect and To Serve"?

Or is that really asking too much, to even think of someone actually doing their job to form and to standard? You know, because that's what they are being PAID to do?

So why do I own armor, night vision, black scary guns and shit ton of other “military” type gear? Because I can. As a free American, I can own anything I want, including a machine gun, a silencer or even what the press calls "a tank"...If you say cops shouldn’t have access to “military” style equipment, then you might as well just say “lets cancel the Second Amendment"...I firmly believe in outgunning your opponent whenever possible.

There's a significant problem with this argument. I'm guessing he didn't see it.

All I am saying is, they can “protect” to a minor degree. But not much. And they need to stop trampling on our liberties with the claim that doing so will protect us.

PC has made it unlikely that they can even do much after the fact when protected classes are the aggressors.

There is no situation that will not be made worse by the presence of a cop.

You must live a sheltered life. I've called the cops on things ranging from an idiot taking potshots at a can in his front yard while kids were playing across the street, to a guy pounding on a door yelling about beating up some kids as soon as he got inside. The cops calmed things down every time. The guy who had been pounding on the door even apologized to me the next day, and said he knew he was out of line and needed to be reined in.

I was told by police 2 wks ago that the police here have “different arrest parameters” for different groups.

Really. I was always told that cops viewed all non-cops as one of two groups: "perps", and "uncaught perps"...
