Can you believe this guy? Who is he representing, the president of the troops he is supposed to stand up for? Last time I checked our Marines are plenty disciplined and far from entitled.

Hubby is Ret SCPO 60-80, his retirement is $17 K, and RATIONED health care. USS Midway when the pulled the Amb out of Nam, off the coast of Cuba during Missile Crisis. Taught A/B school for electronics and computers after that. Does not take into account the Over seas duties.

Former D congress critter, of the nuddie photos of his privates to UNDER AGED GIRLS serves 1 year of 1 term. Gets $35K and Platinum UN-RATIONED HEALTHCARE FOR LIFE INCLUDING HIS KIDS TO 26. He broke both Federal FCC laws and State Laws, NOT 1 day in prison! For a act any other American male would have gone to prison for.

What some don't realize is 20-30 years on active duty takes a toll on the person. I saw Chiefs in their mid thirties that looked 50-60 and their bodies were such. It's not a matter of lack of exercise etc. rather it's the nature of sea duty.

Twenty years in the Navy often a lot less wears out feet, legs, and back due to running, walking, and standing on steel. You get exposures to chemicals, fibers, etc in that timeframe that you would not otherwise get in two lifetimes due to the ventilation on ships which was my specialty.

The day after I got out of the Navy I could have went to work starting out about three times the pay. I didn't want to stay in the Norfolk area. The job was at NNSY. I saw some E-6's with about 12 years vested take them up on it.

Shortly after discharge he came down with a real bad case of Retinitis, left holes in his vision, he has hearing loss from working the flight deck. His specialty was electronics/computer, flight deck operations.

Get this between his Pensions and both our SS checks, we make to MUCH money for him to qualify for VA healthcare!

He was young enough to start a second career, college to be a teacher, repairing TV, Radios on the side for money, then taught JR College 20 yrs.

‘For people who do things out of duty, or as volunteers, frequent monetary rewards can lead to *less* volunteerism, and *less* devotion to duty. A significant part of military performance is the sense of community, a sense of pride, a fulfillment of responsibility. Money used to replace those things may or may not be an improvement. expectations matter as well.

In short, it’s a more complicated question than implied.’

Yes, so what is the impact of deliberate ‘cultural transformation’ through ending DADT, women in combat occupation specialties, and the endless drumbeat of implied denunciation of straight men for ‘sexual harassment’ and ‘chauvinistic attitudes’.

Two things you do not mess with a Marine. His Leave and His Pay.

Two things every Marine knows that you never do.

1) You don’t f*ck with a Marine’s pay
2) You don’t f*ck with a Marine’s Leave Time.

I know this Sgt Major knows this....

What he said was very dumb.
