So God certainly can know about the baseball World Series. Whether He wants to interfere with it....not my decision.

How do you think the '69 Mets happened?

Watching the Championship Parade now.

So many kids there. Don’t tell me baseball is dying. MLB needs to do a better job of marketing to young people.

It's not dying.

MLB finished the regular season with a total attendance of 70,747,365. It’s the first time MLB’s paid attendance has broken the 70 million mark since 2017.

They need to do a better job of marketing the players.

People will watch teams they don’t necessarily root for, if they know who the players are. Today’s ballplayers are too anonymous.

But even the common “hausfrau” knows who Patrick Mahomes is.

I'm not real familiar with it, but golf pays bonuses to players based on a social media/marketing score.

Don’t celebrate the Texas Rangers win too soon until we count the mail in games.

If God had been involved more people probably would have watched.

Besides, God already got involved twice: 1968 and 1984! ;)

It was always tough those few times the Tigers and Rangers met in the post-season. I just wanted whoever won it, to win the World Series, unfortunately it didn’t work out then.

I always thought I’d be happier with the Tigers winning the WS. But I must admit, I’ve really gotten swept up in the Rangers winning it this year.

And I think the Tigers have a shot at the post-season next year.

IMO, none better than John Smoltz’ commetarry putting you into the game and moment with understanding pitch-by-pitch like Madden used to do in football.

However, I noticed near the end of the WS a definite bias I thought he had for the D-Backs over the Rangers. Not sure why.

Agreed with the Tigers having a shot next year. They have a young base, that maybe a couple of older free agents could help them into a playoff.

What was the second error? I only saw one error and the box score only reflects one error.

Regardless of the error in the top of the 9th, the D-Backs only had one at bat to remedy it. They wouldn’t have been a different outcome if the Rangers only had the one run they scored in the 7th inning.

You are correct and thanks for pointing it out. The only error in Game #5 was the one by the center fielder. After that it was pretty much game over.

The other costly D-Back error was in the previous game in the top of the 3rd by Walker. Of course by that point it was already 5-0 but if he had double up the Texas runners the inning would have been over. Instead two more runs were tacked on.

The interesting thing about baseball is the impact that great plays and mistakes can have on the game. Managers often cite them as turning points.
