Jesus Took Your Sicknesses And Diseases

When you are trying to receive your healing it is important that you start off on the right foundation. And a lot of times people approach healing from the place of thinking it's a matter of trying to get God to do something when in reality it's a matter of you receiving what Jesus has already done for you. Well, what did Jesus do for you? Isaiah 53:4,5 Surely he hath borne(carried away) our griefs(diseases and sicknesses) and carried(bear, carry) our sorrows(anquish, afflictions). Notice, it says Jesus carried our sicknesses and diseases. And in verse 5 it says, "And with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah is looking ahead to the cross and 1Peter 2:24 is looking back at the cross and says, "By whose stripes ye were healed." So, heaven has it recorded that your healing has already been done.

Now, you might have an issue in your flesh, but that does not mean God needs to do something. In Genesis 17:5 God told Abraham, "Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee." God told Abraham that he had made him the father of many nations even though in Romans 4:19 it says, that Abraham considered not the deadness of his body neither the deadness of Sarah's womb. So, inspite of their bodies having a condition contrary to what God said he had done God still said it was already a done deal. Notice, what God told him to do no longer call yourself Abram(high father) but Abraham(father of a multitude). Notice, Abraham was not to keep asking God, but come into agreement with God in faith. Because, you don't keep asking God to do what he said is done you agree inspite of the physical conditions.

Just as God said he made Abraham the father of many nations even though his body was dead and so was her womb he said you were healed inspite of the issues you might have in your flesh. Now, you have to speak in line with that as did Abraham. So, everytime you say you have so and so you deny what Jesus did for you, because the scripture says he took your sicknesses and diseases. To understand how that could be back in Leviticus 16:21,22 God established that there was to be a scapegoat offering, God established that when Aaron laid his hands upon the head of the scapegoat and confessed the sins of Israel that goat would bear the sins of the people. So likwise, remember in Isaiah 53:4 Isaiah under the anointing of the Holy Ghost established that Jesus would bear our sicknesses and diseases. So, as sure as that goat bore the sins of Israel Jesus bore our sicknesses and diseases.

So, because God declared that Jesus would bear our sicknesses and diseases all sickness and disease is illegal in our body. God is satisfied with the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. In John 1:29 John when he saw Jesus coming said, "Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world." So, Jesus took upon himself all of man's sin. And when he took man's sin all of man's sicknesses and diseases went with them, because sickness is the result of sin. Not our sin, but Adam's sin. By Jesus taking away man's sins he freed him from sickness. Because if there was no sin there would be no sickness and since he bore our sins then he also bore our sicknesses. You see an example of that in Numbers 16:41-50 when the congregation of the children of Israel murmured(sin) against Moses and Aaron a plague(sickness) came upon the people. Moses told Aaron to take a censer to make an atonement for the people and when he did the plague stayed(meaning stopped). Notice, when he atoned for their sin the sickness stopped.

That's because the root of all sickness is spiritual (sin). That's why in the scriptures where you see forgiveness you see healing, because it's a package deal. In Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. In Isaiah 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. In 1Peter 2:24 who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree...by whose stripes ye were healed. Let me give you an example you can easily understand, if you hold a match under your hand what will be the result, heat. That flame is the source of the heat. To take the heat away you have to take the source away first. That's what Jesus did he took the source of sickness away sin John 1:29. Sin is spiritual for sin is an act of the spirit of man (Mark 7:21-23). So, what Jesus did for you is spiritual right now. Just like when God told Abraham "I have made thee a father of many nations" God was reporting the spiritual view. Just as he is when he says, "By whose stripes ye were healed".

Notice in 1Corinthians 11:29,30 it says, For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep(have died). Notice Paul said that many are weak, sickly, and many have died because of not discerning the Lord's body. When you don't know that Jesus beaten body was used to bring healing to you and that by the stripes he took on his body for you there is healing available waiting on you to receive then you don't receive what Jesus has done for you. The bread in The Lords Supper or Communion represents the healing his beaten body bought you. And when you don't discern what his body has done for you, for that reason many are weak, sickly and have died. Now, we know that the Passover Lamb in Exodus 12 represents Jesus and when they ate that lamb everyone that was sick was healed (Psalm 105:37). That's why 1Corinthians 5:7 calls Jesus our passover. God is all about healing.

In Luke 15 the parable of the prodigal son, it says in verse 12 the youngest son said to his father to give him the portion of goods that falleth to him. And the father divided unto them his living. And not many days later the younger son gathered his things and left and wasted all that he had. And after a famine came where he was he went back home to his father. And when his father saw him he went and hugged him and welcomed him back. And he called for them to have a party for him and when the older son came in from the field and heard music and dancing and heard the party was for younger brother he was angry and would not go inside. So, his father came out and intreated him. Notice verses 29-31, And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid that I might make merry with my friends: 30. But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. Notice, what he said you wouldn't give me, he's waiting on the father to give him something that the father already considered his. It was just a matter of him receiving because in verse 12 it says the father divided his living among them. So, all he had to do is go get, but he's waiting on it to be given. And a lot of times people are waiting for God to do something instead of them receiving what has been done. Receive the finished works of Jesus including your healing.

As the quoted Scriptures make clear, the sick are not “prayed for.” They are “prayed over” which from the Greek indicates a taking authority over the sickness and the sick person, just as Jesus modeled in the Gospels, and why He granted “authority over unclean spirits and diseases” to us.

We do not need to ask God for help when we minister to the sick. He has already answered our prayer in Christ and we have Christ’s authority.

When Christ sent out the 12 and thee 70 He did not command them to “pray for the sick.” he commanded them “to heal the sick.” We are to do the same. “As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

Finally, praying for one another refers to praying for your fellow man so that “you (the sick person) may be healed.” In other words, the sick is to pray for the well-being of his friends and enemies, to forgive and bless them as Jesus counseled, so that he, the sick, would be healed.

The word of faith/ everyone gets healed/it's not God's will for anyone to be sick/all sickness is from the enemy, types have a real problem with this verse.

Exodus 4:10-11 But Moses said to the Lord, "Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue." Then the Lord said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

Didja hear the one about the optician who had just a wee bit to much juice during happy hour at the yearly Optometry Convention??

He was WAY too tipsy and he tripped; falling into a newly designed eyeglass machine.

He ended up making a spectacle of himself.

I am just not into the health/wealth, name it/claim it Gospel. I have been to a couple. There was more talk about health/wealth, than there was about the Gospel of salvation by grace. I don’t know if they are all like that, but the two I attended were.
It’s similar to those tongues speakers. It seems more emphasis is put on spiritual gifts, than preaching the gospel. Though I am not sure, it’s possible some will say, if I don’t speak in tongues, I cannot be saved. I don’t buy that either.

metmom, you said not the one that says Jesus bore our sicknesses, why not. If that’s what the word says why would you disregard it. And I never said you just have to say it. The Bible says you speak what you believe so if the word says one thing and you say the opposite how can you say you believe.

metmom, In Matthew 9:28,29 Jesus said to the two blind men, Believe ye that I am able to do this? And they said yes, Lord. And Jesus answered according to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 8:13 Jesus said to the centurion, Go thy way; as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. In Matthew 15:28 Jesus said to the woman, great in thy faith: be it unto you even as thou wilt. In Luke 18:42 Jesus said to the blind man, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight. In Luke 13:12 Jesus said to a woman, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity(while she was still bowed over). Then he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight.

metmon, In Mark 2:5 Jesus said to a man sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. He was forgiven, but still sick of the palsy.

Satan so cherishes folks like you. Your net result is to spread disillusion. Disgusting osteenesque servants of the father of lies ... Jesus is returning soon for His Bride. After you witness it, turn from your serving the evil one and call out to GOD for forgiveness.

Then everyone should be healed as soon as they get saved.

I see that you still have not addressed post 43 and the parents whose son died from diabetes for all their faith.

And they are not the only ones there are reports for. There are plenty of others.

Even Jesus died.

Jesus died in our place. He would have never died if He hadn't chosen to die in our place, for our sins. Death is the result of our sins. He never sinned, nor did he inherit corruption. Sin is passed down through our fathers. The Bible says that in Adam all have sinned, not in Eve. Jesus Father is God. Since He died in our place, there really isn't a need for us to die. Think rapture. Those raptured will never die.

We all fall so short of the glory of God, even Christians. At most it is amazing when we even get a glimpse of the glory of God. Do not blame God for our problems and sicknesses. If there is to be blame, blame ourselves and our short comings, which are ultimately forgiven.

To make Jesus the author of stealing, killing and destruction is to make Jesus satan. Satan comes to kill, steal destroy, Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Just because we fall so terribly short of all that is possible in Christ, all of us, it doesn't take away from the unchanging perfection of God's will for us.

Jesus knew/knows how very short of His glory all of us would keep falling. He planned and provided accordingly. He loves and accepts us with all of our short comings. There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. But still, all that is not faith is sin. Faith does not walk by sight. Most arguments are according to sight, which are against God's wonderful and loving will to heal us.

Also, through pride we would rather say it isn't God's will, thereby making much of what Jesus said a lie, then to ever suggest that just maybe it is we who are at fault, it is we who do not have the kind of faith it takes for God to heal us. The Bible says “Let God be true and every man a liar”. We say let God be a liar, because we are sure our faith is perfect.

I don't think most people have hardly any concept of the utter Holiness of God. He is separated from all sin and corruption. He is perfect. Jesus said we are to be holy, as God is holy. Just how holy, separated from sin are we, or do we drink on a regular basis of the swill of the world, as normal, but think we are being holy, and then either wonder why we aren't healed, or deny that God heals, so as to excuse ourselves? Jesus, the perfect Son of God, started out His final ministry here while he was on earth going forty days into the wilderness, without food, separating Himself from all things of the world, sanctifying Himself unto His Father.

Just how separated have we ever been? Just how separated, holy are most of us? Most of us are more wrapped up in the world than we could ever guess. Many of us choose not to believe in the wonderful things Jesus has provided for us, which is the epitome of a lack of faith, and then point to our sicknesses as proof of God's unwillingness to heal us, when we should know God works through faith. Of course we remain unhealed when we won't even believe it is His will to heal us, embedded in our very doctrine. Think about that before accusing God of not being willing to heal us. I pray for the day when we Christians will start knowing the riches of God through Christ Jesus. Maybe in that day we will become raptured.
