Just one of the thousands of monstrosities (Creflo Dollar; Joel Osteen; Rev. Jeremiah Wright; Jimmy Swaggart etc) that was spawned by Luther.

Elsie, dear bro, don't you have a list of monstrosities among Popes that Steely needs to learn about...??

Can non-Catholic Christians at least have the ability to distinguish between personal lives (popes and Lutheran pastors) and theology?

Perhaps if you’d stop posting basically the same post over and over that’d be the first step for what you seek.

Oh, the irony Steely! You argued that Luther’s theology gave us people like ol’ Dollar.

I pointed out what catholic theology produced - wicked popes.

Luther’s “theology” produced the “theology” of Creflo Dollar; Jimmy Swaggert; Tammy Baker; Billy Graham; David Koresh and the theology spouted by every corner street pastor. No wonder leading Protestant theologians (even seminarians learning in Lutheran colleges) have finally realized what a mess Luther gave them.

No one is talking of the lives of some medieval popes or the many modern day Lutheran pastors many of whom have embraced lesbian and gay marriage among themselves and defended this gay “theology” as part of the “Lutheran” Christian theology in the churches in which they are ministers.

Snicker... Rome is in the heights of human trafficking and allllllllll you can accuse, is a long time returned, to the Father that sent him, Luther.... Your theology is in the dark ages. By the way, did you know the crooked Catholic Bishops got our Congress to charge ‘we the people’ to fund Rome's human trafficking racket?

We each all set the ‘standards’ by which we will be judged... You think you are above Luther?????? I am NOT a gambler, but I think all things considered, Luther ended up in paradise with Lazarus...

If Pope Francis was put on trial for being Catholic, the charges would be dismissed due to lack of evidence.

I am a converted Catholic, not born into the faith, I chose it.

Pope Francis is the worst pope in my lifetime. I wouldn’t be shocked if he announced that abortion is not a sin.

Why Steelefish, right on this very thread we are talking about the wicked popes!

It appears you have completely forgotten the drug fueled gay sex parties in Vatican City!

While the Medici clan was corrupt, they at least defended the church against the Mohammedans.

There was a reason why a Jusuit was never made pope.

Two men considering a religious vocation were having a conversation. "What is similar about the Jesuit and Dominican Orders? " the one asked.

The second replied, "Well, they were both founded by Spaniards -- St. Dominic for the Dominicans, and St. Ignatius of Loyola for the Jesuits. They were also both founded to combat heresy -- the Dominicans to fight the Albigensians, and the Jesuits to fight the Protestants."

"What is different about the Jesuit and Dominican Orders?"

"Met any Albigensians lately?"

As a Catholic, I am so sorry that this man was thrust upon us, at this critical time in our lives when we have so many other problems to consider.

Oh?

Don't you guys have a system in place to be SURE that only the finest men get to be the Vicar of Christ?

What “system in place” is there that accounts for human error?

The ecumentical nature of the Web allows ANYONE to do their OWN research.

I'd suggest that anyone who TRULY wants to know about a subject can find out just about anything they want these days.

There is NO reason a Jehovah Witness, Mormon or even Catholic be in the dark as to what their respective organization has done in the past or is doing today.

Pope Francis is the worst pope in my lifetime.

Based on what standard?

His politics or his theology?
